[Completed] [Q] lg g2 slow performance... - XDA Assist

Hello fellow android users,i have a lg g2 sprint variant running 4.4 kitkat,i have noticed my cell phone performance is slow,as every one know lg g2 have a snappdragon 800 chipset which have andreno 330 gpu and every one knows that this gpu is great among all mobile gpus it can play all games without even a little lag but my g2 sycks...when ever i play games like mc5,dt2,rr3 it give me a horrific performance having only 20 fps,it is irritating me,i am a gamer and i need my phone to play games unlaggy,i need great help.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Show performance can be caused by many things and it's difficult to trouble shoot. The first thing I'd do is flash the stock firmware and see if that clears up the issue. Try your Ganges before putting a lot of other apps on. Note, flashing the stock firmware does wipe your device. See this,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476. Also see this,http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2. If you have further questions ask in that forum, they are the experts on your device.

Will this ROM work on my phone?

ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1621678
I have the SGH-T989D (Telus variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2) Running 4.0.3, Rooted.
I am basically wondering if this ROM will work with my device and will everything in the ROM be compatible and work properly in my phone. I am very new to rooting and installing custom roms, so if you have any tips or cautions please let me know. Thanks
*Also is this the best, most stable Cyanogenmod for my device currently, Do you have any reccomendations for ROMS on my device and what would be the best choice for battery life, speed, etc?
If any further information about my device, carrier, what I used to root my device, etc., is needed please let me know and I would be happy to elaborate on what you need.
Posting this in the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II Q&A might get you better answers. This is a general XDA discussion forum.

[Q] Switching from Mazel II to GB or any other STABLE ROM. Kindly advice

HI everyone
Have been using Mazel II ROM for a bit. Have been facing a peculiar problem. while in stand by state I have noticed that calls sometimes (very random) do get through. Person calling gets all the normal rings but I do not receive the calls. Also games stutter after switching over from GB
Really irritating. I was planning to switch over to stock GB ROM. Kindly suggest which ROM should I go in for ??
Also what should be the ideal method to so. I read in the FAQ's that I should flash a stock GB/ICS ROM according to me requirements through ODIN but an user was facing an issue with the same mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884872&highlight=downgrade. This has left me confused & therefore had to create this thread.
Thanks
P.S. Kindly do suggest a STABLE ROM. Nothing else as such is a priority apart from it.
Bump !!!
Bumping a thread more than once in 24 hours is against XDA rules.
Now go and search or read the stickies, because this question has been answered like 300 times.

I have searched around quite a bit and could not find a single straightforward reply. Most of them end with the device ending in bootloops. I suppose this topic i.e. How to switch over from ICS to GB safely must made sticky as well & that would help a lot of users here.
Hope that solves the issue. Any help would be appreciated though

[Q] Urgent help required

Hello. I'm new here, and I need help with this.
I have a Nexus 5 which I bought rather recently. I was finding the battery life pretty disappointing for a phone like this, so I decided to install the Franco kernel as a start. I installed it and all was working well till I tried to record a video. I can take pictures, panoramas and all, but I can't take a video. When I press the button to start the recording, it looks as though it has been pressed, but the recording doesn't start. I checked the thread to the Franco kernel, but I wasn't able to post because I'm a new member. This is why I started a new thread. I check Google and I was unable to receive a fix to this problem. Thus, I decided to take this problem to the XDA Experts. I should be posting in DevBB but I can’t since I'm a new member. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you read the thread to see if others are having the same issue. I run franko r46 on the stock firmware and I don't have that issue. If you want to remove franko, flash the boot.img from the factory image or dirty flash the rom if you're on a custom Rom

[Completed] [Q] Goophone MF353zp/a Iphone 5s clone

Hello Guys, First time poster here. I have been scouring the internet for the past few days looking for some solutions, and found that XDA was the best place for android users to congregate and give help and opinions.:highfive:
First off, let me start off by saying that I am a complete android noob when it comes to messing around with rooting and flashing. So pardon if some of the things I say come across as foolish.
My girlfriend bought me what she thought was an original iphone 5s on her recent trip to China where she was teaching English. Little did she know that she got fooled into buying what I now found out is a Goophone i5s MF353zp/a. :crying:Since I want to keep the phone since she did get it for me as a nice gesture, I am trying to get it to run a regular android 4.2.2 jelly bean or better, without all the iphone icons and iphone crap. Also the phone did not come with playstore so I cannot download apps that I would use on a regular basis. Also most of the stuff is in Chinese and I just want to be able to use it as a regular android phone. I read up on roms, and rooting and flashing, but if someone could tell me the best way to go about getting a regular android version on the phone along with google play store, It would be much appreciated.
Thanks for reading my long post. Be Safe. Cheers :good:

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure about this? Because it is currently running 4.2.2 with an ios skin from what I could read on the internet.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. There is not much information about your device on XDA but I did find these which may help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449981
http://www.xda-developers.com/goophone-i5-unboxed-the-xda-way-xda-developer-tv/
I'm not that familiar with the Goophone but I believe you'll want to know the what I believe is the processor number, it starts with MTK followed by 4 numbers. Before you do anything see if you can find that and then ask in the threads linked. If all else fails ask in this forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Good luck!

Thanks buddy. I'll check out the links you gave. :good: I might have come across the links before, but I was too scared to try something since I did not want to brick the phone. As for the processor number, I came across MT6572, if that's the one. I can't find anything with MTK. Appreciate your help in this. :fingers-crossed:
Yes, it was my mistake on the MTK. It's MT. I'll close this thread then.

Mike,
XDA forum is not your back yard where you can "command" and then whine about not getting the answer quickly. Be thankful that we have XDA assist to help lazy people like yourself to make your phones "cool".
If you thought for one second that we are here to provide you customer service, you are gravely and sadly mistaken.
I am going to excuse your tone with our support team this one time.
Please use the search function and find answers for yourself, and if you do not find an answer, the only reason would be that you did not search hard enough!!
Thanks.
For one thing go **** u think u can talk to me like that I was pointing out facts about what IV seen and experienced on here if u think that I'm lazy go take Ur phone bend over and ask Ur team for some assistance I work to much to have time to fiddle around with silly little school girls moaning if about I ask a question I expect it to be answered and been polite or I'll give them some kind words just so u remember who pays Ur wages
