[Q] Samsung Moment Update After Root?

hey people, i rooted my samsung moment to 2.1 and im loving it, most of the time... and my phone has recently alerted me that i have a new system update, i had a choice to install the update to my phone but i dont know if i should install the update if i rooted my phone, will it be ok to update my phone even though its rooted??

[Q] about unrooting and updating OTA

will updating OTA from a rooted phone will unroot my phone automatically ?if yes will it delete everything ?
now i have stock 2.1 update 1 and root and want to update to official 2.2.1 ota
nobody know this?
Official updates will usually unroot you but you won't lose any of your apps or data.
If you want to root again after the update you can, but SuperOneClick seems to be the only 1-click method that works on 2.2.1.
i know unrooting is possible with RUU but i dont know if it is possible with update OTA , so will updating OTA will unroot my phone ?
Already answered.
aha thx ,i dont know if superoneclick roots the wildfire at 2.2.1,only for the other phones

[Q] Are there any apps or methods on unroot Lg g2 mini d618?

Are there any methods on unroot the LG G2 mini d618 variant? I've been looking on the internet and the forums for methods, i've managed to look on some but i doubted it.. I got one link but im not sure of it... http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-unroot-android-devices-manually/
and i also got a thread in the forums on LG RCT forgets that your phone is rooted... but i think its only for the d620r variant of the phone, and i doubt it will work on the d618...
Can someone verify if they have unrooted their d618 phone??

Yeah I know about that one but I read that some LG phones are unrooted but RCT says that their phones are still rooted.. Are there any proofs?? I'm not risking of bricking my phone (I'm a noob in fixing issues)

Ohhh ok ok... I've been wanting to unroot bcuz I've been wanting to get the lollipop update for my phone.. And then I read that you can't receive OTAs if you are rooted.. And the thread also says that you can receive OTAs if you have the stock firmware and recovery (which I have) I've read that in some other thread in the forums..

there are some that are unrooted but their phones fail at updating or downloading OTAs, they are using SuperSu as their unrooting method.... im not so sure about it... as i saw in the google play (i think) that full unroot is not a guarantee unroot

How about checking out how to flash the stock firmware to your phone via computer? Either just flash the latest firmware if available or flash the latest available firmware and then perform the OTA update. Of course you could try to unroot your phone first.

i actually found a way to flash the stock firmware of the g2 mini but im unsure if this method can totally unroot the phone... (its bcuz LG's stupid RCT that is built in their phones which does really suck in my part)

[Q] unrooted, updated and now i cant re root

Yep Same for me...
hopefully someone finds another hole soon
Try to Downgrade to 5.0.1 then root it
. . . really... its the gflex 2 why would you want to stay on 5.0.1 im not going to downgrade to an inferior version to root it theres no way to keep the root and upgrade cause vodafone patched the hole, im hoping someone can find another exploit

I need a rooted rom for Galaxy SM-G920V anything later than OG7

So basically I never wanted to update my phone but I accidentally pressed Install Now when I was trying to open the messaging app. Now I can't root it anymore or downgrade it. Worst mistake ever for my phone :crying:
So my phone found a new update, but I don't want to update it because I want to look for a updated ROOTED rom that is later than OG7. If anyone has a odin flashable / zip flashable, PLEASE message me. I have a friend that works with android roms, he said that its something to do with the bootloader and it has to be rewritten by hand to make it rootable because of verizons bootloader, and to unlock the bootloader. PingPongRoot doesn't work anymore after the 5.1.1 update. I really hate this update. it slowed my phone down a lot. **** you verizon :crying::crying::crying:
Anyways I need a rooted rom to flash on my phone to make my phone think its signed by Samsung or Verizon and it's a new update. Please help me root my phone. I really got nothing to root it now ;-;

Sorry, it doesn't exist for the Verizon Galaxy S6. The last rooted ROM was OE2.

Have you tried updating to Marshmallow? I'm on CleanROM 1.5 android 5.0.2 OE2, and have been curious of the new android version, but at the same time do not want to lose root. Let me know if Marshmallow is worth losing root. Only advantage I see to root at this point is not having all that damn bloatware I really hate and cannot remove without root. Thanks.

I rather not update it unless
1: A root method is available
2: A rooted rom for Marshmallow is available
Just saying. upgrading to 5.1.1 unintentially (mainly because i was directly going to the messaging app but accidentally pressed install now) made me loose my root access. That's why I'm seeing if there is a rooted rom for that rom or a root method for that room.

From what I understand, it seems verizon is never going to allow it. Just look at Note 4 from verizon, it came out in 2014 and still no sign there will ever be root available for that one either. I'm even considering moving to tmo since there is root on their devices. Good luck.
