Keeps happening, eventually if I keep trying i'll get a video taken but having a bunch of annoying 1 second videos is annoying. Any idea how I can fix this?

For a long time, my camcorder has lagged in every video with frameskips and freezes. It just freezes up for a few seconds, and when it comes back, the audio is out of sync! Does anyone know how to fix this? I've looked all around the forums and I can't find any solution. This essentially makes it so I can't record any video. I'm on MIUI 1.7.8 on the Incredible.

I feel your pain. The same thing happens to me, and it doesn't matter what ROM I use, (and I've tried a ton) it freezes and then the audio goes out of sync. I'm almost at a total loss too, but I think I may try a faster SD card. I currently have a class 2, and I can get a class 6 on newegg for about $14. Might be worth a try. I don't remember having this issue on the stock firmware, but I also remember I was able to save to internal storage then, and also the audio quality during recordings was terrible on stock. The audio is MUCH better on newer roms. So, to me, it's either storing to emmc was faster then, or now the extra processing power for the better audio is causing that hiccup. The one of those 2 things I can control is the speed of the SD card, so there's my logic.
I would love to find an actual proven solution....
Howdy I have a fairly specific requirement for a video recording app, I'll explain:
I'm making a head unit for my car stereo out of a 7" tablet, the tablet has a camera which I'm running to the front bumper.
Now I'd like it if I could record incase anything neat happens on the road, but just constantly hitting record isn't feasible, I was hoping there'd be an app or method where it constantly records for a period, say 10 minutes, and then deletes the last recording and starts over.
That way if something happens you actually want to keep you can just hit Save Last Video or whatever.
Any ideas?
What about some type of dvr software that constantly records? Security software?

The dilemma is that I don't want to be constantly recording/deleting videos but I don't want to miss something cool happening because I hadn't hit record that one time.
So I was thinking something that just lets you save the last 30 minutes or whatever if you choose to but otherwise deletes and starts another 30 min recording...
How do people normally get around this with in car cameras?
I've noticed a few times when taking photos with my HOS, the shutter noise will play, even though I have it set to off, and then it gets stuck in a loop playing over and over until I reboot the phone.
Anyone else getting this? It's really annoying, but not worth sending the phone back over it. :-/

No, haven't experienced that. But I have heard the shutter sound 3 or 4 random times when the camera isn't even on. Didn't seem to affect anything.
I have had this problem twice. When it has happened to me, I was snapping a picture (with shutter sound turned OFF) and then afterwards it makes continuous shutter sounds like it would if I was shooting in burst mode. This continues until I close the camera app and then open up the app switcher and close it there as well.
Yep ... Seen the same thing. It is freaking annoying, but quitting the camera seems to make it stop. Wish there was a recognized error and fix for it though.

recently Ive noticed my phone when I would Record on 720p Itll randomly stop recording and save the video. Doesnt do it all the time but it could record for 30 seconds then stop or 2 mins then randomly stop. Ive also noticed when watching videos online it sometimes randomly just Pauses the videos and i have to hit play again.
I have the EVO 3D on sprint stock rom. havent been able to do any updates as the guy i had flash it to metro with internet, told me if i did any firmware changes to get rid of Android 2.3 I would cause the Flash to stop working and have to get it redone again.
Is there a way to fix this without doing an update and messing up the flash. Very irritating to record and then it stops, and always seems to stop at the worst time too.
So recently I was using a separate app than the stock camera app to record a video... The video is ~30 seconds long, but it freezes around the 8-second mark, however, you can still hear the audio all the way through. To make it more clear, it gets stuck on a frame, then continues the audio. I'm not exactly sure if there is a fix for this AFTER I already recorded the video, but if you know of one please let me know, the video is very important to me and I made a mistake using a third party camera app.
