Camera Shutter Noise Weirdness - HTC One S

I've noticed a few times when taking photos with my HOS, the shutter noise will play, even though I have it set to off, and then it gets stuck in a loop playing over and over until I reboot the phone.
Anyone else getting this? It's really annoying, but not worth sending the phone back over it. :-/

No, haven't experienced that. But I have heard the shutter sound 3 or 4 random times when the camera isn't even on. Didn't seem to affect anything.

I have had this problem twice. When it has happened to me, I was snapping a picture (with shutter sound turned OFF) and then afterwards it makes continuous shutter sounds like it would if I was shooting in burst mode. This continues until I close the camera app and then open up the app switcher and close it there as well.

Yep ... Seen the same thing. It is freaking annoying, but quitting the camera seems to make it stop. Wish there was a recognized error and fix for it though.

There is... it's called "installing a custom ROM"

[Q] Camera tick sound?

Does anyone of your NS make 'tick' sound? For example, when I capture a QR code, it makes very brief 'tick' sound. It's not the camera shutter sound. I can tell the difference...
I think there were few more instances where my NS makes tick sound but I can't recall.
it is app related, the barcodescanner makes an other sound than the camera app

I use Google Goggles. Would it be the same reason?
I think I had an instance with Google Camera app too. I can't recall though.
I honestly thought my camera didn't make such noise until few days back. I had this phone for more than 3 months now..
I've heard my Nexus S 'tick' after using Google Goggles but it doesn't happen all the time. Used to get it with my old SGS, too.
Only happens with Google Goggles though so its probably app related.

This tick sound is the mechanical focus mechanism of the camera lense. It continuously focuses from macro to infinity to reset in one short moment.
As hardly any application focuses repeatedly, except for let's say barcode readers, you won't hear that ticking in the standard camera app.
In a couple of days since buying my NS (9023) I noticed this click noise coming from the camera and quickly discovered it was from the camera's macro-to-infinity focus switch mechanism. The thing I would like to know if this happens to everybody else or is my NS "special" in some nasty way.
Also, sometimes after taking a macro pic the camera app gets stuck on displaying the picture taken without going back to the live-view camera screen to take the next picture. The only solution out of this is pressing the home button which makes the same clicking noise as above but louder. This makes me think that the macro switch mechanism inside the camera hardware gets stuck somehow.
Should I send it to be repaired? :-|

Popping sound after display power-on

Allright. For the last few days, i've noticed that my Sensation is producing this snap/popping sound after the display turns on. Only when the device hasn't been used for some time. I go to turn the display back on from sleep mode, and after several seconds, it will make this pop sound...
I'm assuming something to do with the capacative touchscreen...?
This is very wierd, and annoying. I'd really like for it to stop doing this.
If you have the technical know-how, open up that phone and take a good look. Clean the contacts, make sure ribbons are secure. That's never a good sign.
UPDATE: Allright, i've noticed that the sound is actually heard when the camera is activated. It sounds like the camera shutter sound. I don't think it's got anything to do with the actual screen itself, anymore. The distinct shutter "pop" is heard.
What could be the reason?
Doesn't the shutter go through a reset cycle or something? I have this happen whenever I close the camera - doesn't seem to be a big deal since it's been going on for the seven months I've owned the phone.

Go to settings/sound and uncheck screen lock sound. Might be what you are referring to.
Nope. That has been disabled the entire time.
I think it might be that STUPID weather sound. You know, the weather app that's in the main menu?
UGH.
i think it makes the sound when i cut it short. Switch to another menu. Might be the speaker popping when turning on to make the sound.
Any way i can disable this garbage. I don't want to hear it every time i turn on my phone.
Stupid weather app...
Y'know, the one that has an animation built into the calender/time?

Google Pixel making weird noise

As the title states...
https://youtu.be/U9lVPEaRHj4
The link takes you to a quick video I shot where I recorded the faint, but weird, dull sound coming from my Pixel's speakers. I keep my phone in my back pocket and noticed it was real hot. Took my phone out of my pocket and couldn't figure out what was making it so hot - cleared apps, swiped screens then checked the volume. I raised the media volume up and heard the noise.
Pretty weird. Noise stopped on reboot. Again, all in the 1:20 or so long video.
If there's a question I have - what next?
I'd just do a factory reset and if it continues, get it replaced under warranty.

Sometimes when I listen to audio notes on Whatsapp the volume goes high suddenly

After getting my new Pixel 2, I've been noticing a strange behavior while using Whatsapp.
The audio notes on Whatsapp can be played both on "loudspeaker" or "phone speker" mode, depending on how you hold your phone if far or close to you ear. This is determined by the proximity sensor, I guess.
The BIG problem is that when I hold the phone close to my ear to privately listen to the audio notes I've received, the audio starts low (normal) but suddenly goes high as if it was on "loudspeaker" mode. This is deafening! My ear really hurts when it's happening!!!
I guess this is a huge problem, like causing real immediate injuries...
I wonder if this is a problem with my phone only or it's a common one.
I've already tried to reinstall Whatsapp but with no sucess.
Please, help.
Regards.

No solution, but I've encountered the same issue as well. Even though the phone was against my head, it was like the sensor malfunctioned or something. Maybe it's something Google could fix?

Random beep sound

I've been experiencing some beep sounds when taking my phone quickly out of my pocket, but I can't figure out why.
The only thing I've figured out is that it happens when I pull it quickly and my thumb is covering the whole front speaker area (including sensors, led and front camera), but I didn't manage to reproduce it consistently.
Has anyone else experienced this or figured out why it happens?

I have the same problem! It's extremely annoying. Please help! It slowly beeps 4 times after I lock it and place on a table right away. Rarely it starts beeping when I unlock it!
I've also started having this issue, probably started about 6 or so hours ago. Four consecutive descending beepboop tones, persists after restarting phone, doesn't sound familiar or seem to be caused by any app as far as I can tell. Even tried running some anti-virus apps and couldn't find anything, but I'm not sure those normally do anything anyways. I'm on a OnePlus 6 running oxygenOS 9.0.6.
