I've done some research and came to the conclusion that this one is perfect; it looks nice, has fast charge, is an affordable price for a luxury item, and has great reviews. The problem is it's out of stock on Amazon and the official site just links to the Amazon page. It's on ebay but I'm not paying $50 for it.
http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-10000mA...id=1428598749&tag=androidcentralb-20&m1k=d_ac
Is there an alternative that has at least 10k mAh with fast charge? two ports would be nice, I saw another nice one with two ports but it only had AI charge which I don't know what that is and doubt it's as fast as the Aukey as the voltage didn't compare. I am admittedly a bit ignorant on the subject so I could use some help. I'm looking for an external battery pack I can carry with me on long trips that will give me 2-3 charges with quick charge. Thanks in advance for any help! will thank and all.

I dunno if the Anker 2nd Gen Astro E5 16000mAh Portable Charger External Battery Power Bank with PowerIQ has fast charge, but it definitely is larger than 10k mAh.
I did some looking and Poweradd™ Pilot 2GS 10000mAh Portable Charger External Battery Power Bank Fast Charging With Auto Detect Technology battery pack has fast charging on it and seems to have good ratings and is 10k mAh
I've been looking for an external battery pack as well, though I haven't jumped on it since I honestly wasn't sure if I'd actually get use out of it.
I would post direct links to these, but sadly I'm a new member, so I can't post links yet, which is a bummer.
I want that one in the op as well. I know a couple blogs have featured it, so maybe the company is just trying to stock up some more.

since you are from israel.... you have got some kind of Energizer power pack it cost around 100 nis but it is not a good looking one but it is use-full
HI
Don't Know if it's still relevant but I bought PortaPow external battery charger, with 3000mah capacity. They also have cases that charge the phone, even with solar power - I loved them a lot.
A bit more expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

looks usefull !
thanx for the link
I just ordered mine, it should recharge my Desire 3 times.
http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=5330&t_mode=des
One thing you guys might be overlooking is that the sated capacity for most of these power packs is at the batteries 3.7v. The unit then has to turn the 3.7v to 5.5v which will mean the actually mah you will get out of the device to your phone will be lower.
Still useful though if your battery dies!
Phil
Im in the process of making something simular, it wont be pretty but it will do the job.
I have ordered a 4x "C" Cell battery holder, that I will wire to a USB cable.
I have a few C Cell 3000mAh rechargables @1.2v each.
1.2x4=4.8V. I figure, this should be close enough to provide power into the desire.
It wont be pretty, but it should charge the battery of the phone a few times when im out for a few days
Total cost will be way less than the cost of the ones you buy.
Thanks for the links. Still deciding which one to get. Anyone have any experiences with the above?
I like a lot of people use my phone very heavily yet I don't have an opportunity to plug my phone into an AC charger until I return home. A great remedy to the problem is this handly little AA charger.
http://www.igo.com/accessories/powerxtender-charger/invt/ps002640004/
The reason I like it so much is because cheap portable battery packs usually pack under 1000mah of power. Thats not even enough to give you 1 full charge. And the more expensive 2000mah+ packs are often on the large side and well... expensive lol. On the other hand this little bugger is cheap and small enough to sit in my pocket without being a bother. What I find is the best part of it is the fact that you can choose what kind of AA batteries you put into it. I opted for Energizer rechargeable which are rated at 2450mah EACH for a total of 4900mah of power. Thats the equivalent of 3 G2x batteries. Keep 2 more batteries in your backpack/desk/purse thats an additional 4900mah. If that can't get you through the day you have more than just phone issues
Originally bought it for my Vibrant but quickly found it was awkward because the the product doesnt come with a cable adapter. This meant it was hanging and putting much strain on the usb port of the phone. Out of fear of breaking it I stopped using it. However since the G2x charges from the bottom there is absolutely no problem espcially seeing as I bought a 20cm micro usb extension cable so that the charger can sit in my lap or on a table while using the phone.
Just thought I'd share this since we can't get legit replacement batteries yet and even when they do become available they will cost a pretty penny. Got mine from Staples but they can be had on amazon also along with the usb extension able and rechargeable batteries.

You don't need to by batteries or an extra charger. You can recharge it via your G2x power supply or any computer.
This was my favorite (coming from g1)
Too bad theres no new version for the micro usb's now..

I almost bought one of those until I saw how low the capacity on it is. Looks tiny though which is nice.
J&R has Veho 5Ah external battery for $35 and I have 2 of them.
Just use regular microUSB cable to charge the phone and leave the original cable secure.
I'm thinking about getting the i-up 13,200mAh pack.

They have a bigger version for 32$ as well. The 22$ version gives me a full charge from around 30%.
Just received my Pebble XT 5000mah pack. Won't be able to put it through its paces till next tuesday. Upon first impression, i think im in love with this thing already. its small enough to sit in pocket without having much presence. extremely lightweight. and the cord is long enough to be able to have the charger in your pocket and phone in hand (thank you lg for putting the usb port at the bottom). All info I have read indicated that it really does output 5000mAh of power so even a heavy user such as myself will have no problem getting through a full day of use.
Just wondering how everyone's batterys are working out for them?
Also how many full charges did you get?
Also any likes or dislikes of product they decided to buy?

That looks like something that might be good out camping or something where you needed to charge your phone without touching it. But I would figure actually picking it up and putting that much weight on he usb port a very bad idea... This should come with a extension cord to charge while using, even texting or something would be pretty difficult to hold both...

ImaxPower IMP500 (5000mAh) External Battery
I've used an IMP500 Rechargeable (5000mAh) external battery pack for a few years with great sucess. They make them as large as 11000mAh (or more?) and even have solar-rechargeable options. Just take a look at New Trent or other similar products on Amazon or eBay.
The best part about the IMP series is that they have multiple adapters for iPhones, mini/micro USB, PSP, DS, and other devices so you can charge your phone and anything else you might be carrying around with you.
Link to NewTrent for info on models
I'd recommend buying elsewhere because you can find them for 30-50%+ off.
Has anyone got any experience with such devices?
I'm planning to order one of the following devices, possibly the second due to it's larger capacity:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130456061354
http://cgi.ebay.com/6600mAh-Portable-Back-Up-Charger-HTC-Desire-HD-/130530070954
Any suggestions? Anything I must know before getting one?
Thank you in advance!
I dont have either of those but I do have a TeckNet charger that is very similar to the second one, but mine is 5000mah
It works well and charges quickly however the Mah rating seems a bit optimistic. I only get two full charges from the 5000mah battery.
Its a handy things to have in your bag if you are going to be away from power for a few days, or you want to use your phone heavily on a journey (like a long flight)
I would go with the higher capacity model as the 2200 probably wont hold enough power for more than one charge, unless weight/size is your main priority.
I have a Primo PowerSuit (http://www.phonesuit.com/primo-power-core-battery-pack-for-tablets-phones/) and it's great. It's a bit expensive at $100, but it has a capacity of 8200 mAh, is slightly bigger than the DHD itself.
I have a 2000 mah, it manages a little over one full charge, the mah rating is a little too optimistic. And it charges slowly, cause it's usb, and the stock htc usb cable can only charge in 500 mah max via usb.

I can recommend the advenced edition of the Choiix Power Fort 10Wh
http://www.choiix.com/Product.aspx?pid=16
The package comes with everything you need for traveling and i get 1,5 to 2 charges out of it with stock battery.
I ordered this a while ago, its pretty good for giving 3-4 charges before running out. perfect for just traveling within the city.

Wow! For some reason I didn't have this post on my subscriptions and totally forgot about it :/
Thank you all for your answers! I have decided to go for the Primo PowerCore
i orderd http://www.tecknetonline.co.uk/prod...00mAh-Universal-USB-Battery-Pack-(Black).html the last week and here r my notes about it :
Pros:
-huge capacity , 7000mha
-4 LED indicators for remaining power (more accurate)
-dual usb charging outputs
-micro usb charging input (no messy adapters)
Cons:
-very slow charging output (cannot pass 300 ma shown in batterymonitor widget) , and it doesnt provide the 1000 ma indicated.
-cannot be used while its plugged in charging it self.
-mine stopped working the next day !!!!!
unfortunately i am not satisfied at all about this product even though when u read abot it u get excited, i even payed 90% of its price shipping !! and it doesnt even work.
i contacted them on their website but still no response.
hope this helps everyone in need of this accessory.
i would really appreciate it if someone knows a fast charging pack and a decent one to link to us
cheers
Hi
I've ordered a new mugen 1950mAh battery and now I'm going to buy a new battery charger (not for the phone, only for battery). Here are some links such types of chargers:
Omg, I don't have 10 posts so I'm not able to post outside links. So please just write in 'images.google': "universal battery charger" and see the results. I take interest to the one which is a little bit similar to a computer mouse
Do you think it will work properly? Does anyone have got such a charger? Or maybe can you suggest sth other? I just want to use the phone with one battery, while the second one would be charged. Binding the phone to socket with cables during a day is very annoying.
No one? Can't believe..
not sure what you're referring to but http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Battery-Charger-Sensation-Shooter/dp/B0057HJU1Q is a good deal for 2 1700mah batteries and a standalone battery-specific charger. no pins to align every time. just slam the battery in and it goes.
or there's dozens of universal ones with sliding pins like http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Multi-Purpose-Universal-Battery-Charger/dp/B0058XGN7I
I'm sure you could find one of these for less than $5 shipped on ebay if not amazon.
But I've already ordered new mugen 1950mAh so I don't need to buy anything new. Mugen and stock batteries are enough
Unfortunately I can't find such a battery charger on ebay. But it's a cool thing because I would better buy something branded than some noname rubbish. Any ideas?
i'm using this: http://ioomobile.com/shopbybrand/990-momax-smart-battery-charger-for-htc-sensation-z710e.html
can use usb. but it only supply 500mA so it took longer to charge.
I've been using these for ages
These chargers are the best way to charge your battery, for me at least. I've been using them for years. Of course you need at least two batteries, but I usually have at least 3
These chargers are chinese creations. Some can be really slow, others a bit faster, but usually they give out around 200-400mAh which is kinda slow, but will charge your battery overnight.
The good thing about these chargers is when your phone dies or is about to die you just pop in the already charged battery and you are ready to go, no charger, no cables. And from my experience the battery lasts longer than if charged in the phone, sounds strange but it's true.
A downside is while charging they have this LED flashing, which indicate charging, and when they stop, battery charged. But these can be really bright and if you charge overnight in your room, you have this flashing colour changing lights.
I totally recommend these chargers. On chinese sites they go around 3-4$. Don't go for the cheapest, probably will be crappy.
Thanks for info guys. A week ago I bought YIBOYUAN 100-240V EU Universal Battery Charger USB Output F HTC Sensation/G14. Will see how it works

Hello, im looking for a good portable power bank without solar charging (or with if it doesnt effect the price) and around 20-50k mAh capacity.
I'd like to not spend more than 20GBP and the product to be certified for safety reasons, im not feeling well to walk around like a jihadist
Thanks
If however, you have a long trip planned or lots of devices to keep topped up, then take a 20000mAh Power Bank. All the portable chargers featured in the list have a minimum capacity of 20000mAh and are capable of charging most phones over 10 times.
I like the easyacc 20000 power bank, coz it has increative two input, which can save half time for me to recharge it. And the four outputs with the smart technology, just like the anker IQ technology. It means whatever devices do you use, it can get you best power. So good for fast charging.

The Zerolemon 20,000 mAh solar power pank is currently listed for $47.78 but if you use the coupon code Z36GZOGN at checkout you can get it for $19.99. Unfortunately they don't ship to my country
The best charging banks are...
Anker PowerCore+ 10050: The World's Smallest 10000mAh Portable Charger with Premium Aluminum Shell and Qualcomm Certified Quick Charge 2.0 Technology (Black)
or
Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Portable External Battery Fast Charger (16.2W / 5V 9V 12V Supported, Quick Output) for S6, S6 Edge - Silver
The first one is very small for the size and battery mah, it has quick charge and top quality batteries
I'd highly recommend the anker powercore+ 26800
it has 3 ports, 1 that supports quick charge 2.0 (also known as Adaptive Fast Charge) and a 10-stage charge indicator. comes with a nice cushy mesh bag for carrying. 26800mah
on Amazon if you scroll down the page a little there should be a promo code to take off about 25% of the price. in the Specials and Promotions section
edit: DO NOT buy Aukey, they play tricks with the advertising on how much power they can put out, and operate components higher than they're designed for.

yep that's the one! highly recommend it. also I would suggest getting the Anker 6ft. gold plated nylon charge cord because the one that comes with the power bank is very short and won't tolerate much abuse from an incident like taking a full force tug from a hefty power bank being tugged further than the cord will reach. you'll want a tough charger.
I've liked the RAVPower Car Jump Starter power banks. I got one over the holidays on special and the dual purpose has saved me in a few different situations of either dead car or phone battery.
I own the AUKEY PB-T1 10000mAh with Qualcomm 2.0 support for input and output! That's a stunning power bank, highly recommended!
But today I would buy an "Quick Charge 3.0 RAVPower TURBO 20.100mAh Powerbank Qualcomm QC 3.0 Technologie USB-C/Type-C (5V/3A)" With two outputs and Qualcomm 3.0 input and output. Samsung Note 4 only use Qualcomm 2.0 but Qualcomm 3.0 is backward compatible with version 2.0.
Qualcomm 3.0 input should give the power bank an extremly fast charging time (30 min is advertised by the manufacturer).
Just wanted to chime in.

I love it! It has enough power to fully charge my phone and tablet every night for about 5 days. I recently went on a week-long business trip and I used it to charge my phone, tablet, 3DS and Vita. I only had to recharge the battery once the entire week.
