Yellow? No.
Heating up? yes. The phone gets quite warm.

not totally yellow but a yellow tint though it doesnt affect image quality in any way but it just gives less bright images in dark than it should be

There is no yellow tint in my flash or flashlight. It's quite white.
Aside:The yellow flash is the enemy of the red flash.

Notification led FAILS

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking to buy this very good devices but I read on some italian sites that there are some batch that have notification led bugged.
I'm explain better: they told that the led is shifted from the normal position and isn't so visible as other batch.
Anyone of you have this problem?
BR
nope, mine is at the right position and works well

Thanks.
Can you do a photo so I can compare with the one that I will buy today?
Will seems strange but on internet there aren't any photo of the one s notification led.
For me hte LED, comparing to the Desire is less noticable
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but the led is definitely too back behind the ear-piece net.
Just got my grey one s yesterday so not sure what is normal what is not in terms of notification light.
My light is located at the second row of the speaker holes, the 5th hole from the left. it is yes quite small compared to my incredible s, and during daylight, you have to be close to the phone in order to see it.
Is it normal?
This is my same location of hte led as well

my led is in the same location and it is much less visible as compared with my 2 years old desire...
The problem is not where is the led, but the fact that notification is still buggy after update 1.78.401.2: the other morning for example I had 3 emails but there was no led blinking. Others too reported led not working or working just for the first 5 minutes...

I have the opposite problem. My LED flashes for new emails, but does not stop when I access the mail app! (Still on original 1.53 base).
Have some problem.
LED blinking for a few minuts and after don't blinking
Mine is just fine.
Mine was useless. You can't even see the led from the sides, only when u look pretty much straight at phone. Led is behind the speaker grill.

Also coming from Desire, this is a topic of concern for me as well, since I usually look at my phone from an angle when it isn't in my hand...
Same issue with the One X

good and cool idea as far as design goes, but most definitely not good for notifications
Mine is international unlocked, but with french CID. The led is too down and catches up just the first row of holes on the grill.
I must say it's completely unusable. I'm looking for a way to hardware fix it with some light conductive material.
Maybe a software patch to boost up the LED current will be also needed.
On HTC Mozart it's also under the speaker grill, but it's way to bright compared with the One S one.
mine works except I notice it only blink for like 5 minutes and turn itself off.
Mine is kinda useless, since it's almost impossible to see it unless you hold the phone in your hands...

[Q] Screen Was Fine, Suddenly Turned Green and Faint?

Hi,
My Nexus 5 was working fine, and hasn't been dropped/damaged, but the screen has suddenly gone green and very faint. It still works but I can't figure out what the issue is. My guess is hardware?
When I say green and faint, I don't mean just a little bit, I mean a green/yellow hue all over the screen, and faint like someone has applied super high contrast in a photo editor.
Any ideas?
Phone is stock, not rooted or modified in any way.
Thanks

Sorry do you mean light leakage?
The phone now has yellow borders a few mils thick on all four sides, in addition to a green hue.
Perhaps
Still under warranty?

I have the same issue as of a week ago. Except mine is pink borders and a blue tint. It was fine one night, plugged it in to charge at bed time, took it off the next morning and it was stuffed!! After a day it came right but then stuffed up again a few days after that.
I'm guessing its the display but don't know why. Looks like you can get Chinese replacement ones for about 60AU$, but the procedure looks pretty full on.
Just to update, as per poster above the phone has now returned to normal after a few days. Very strange. Factory reset, cache clear etc etc didn't work, just one day started working again.
Have the same problem
I am also having the same problem. I was charging the phone on my laptop. I took it out and suddenly the screen had a bluish - pink tinge - prominent around the corners but affecting the entire screen.
Did you find any solution?
Yep as above it just righted itself within a few days. Very strange, never seen a phone have an apparent hardware issue that's unresolved by factory reset etc then just miraculously lose the problem...but that's what happened!
It definitely has to do with the display.
i changed my original display screen as it was broken with a cheap one and since then it always gets green and pink tint while charging. After sometime it turns to the normal color.
Same problem pink/blue tint over night
I bought a used nexus5 just 2 days back but it looks stunningly scratchless so its probably refurbished I guess. Any how, I put it on charge the next night of purchase with a heavy duty charger that came with my Tablet its rating is 2Amp. In morning the phone had this blue/pink tint.
Is it a problem or will it go back as most people are saying? As long as I keep on using proper charger will it come back?
OR
Should I go back and strangle the seller...?

S6 drunk [it drank a cocktail]

Yesterday, I had my s6 edge in my pocket, when someone at the disco poured a cocktail on me (i had the s6 upside down so the jack and microusb holes were filled with alcohol).
I noticed the fact after several minutes ..when the phone was already crazy (not working keys, screen rotate all time, and the messagge "the device is too hot")
Today the phone turns on, but after the boot logo, the screen remains black, and the led blinks in 2 colors blue and white.
Recovery and dl mode are working fine (also tried to flash a clean rom ..nothing).
So maybe someone knows with which issue the led blinking is related??
I'm not an expert but it might be game over haha.
Try going into recovery (TWRP would be best) and trying to see if you can mount all the partitions, if you can, I suggest trying to flash stock ROM with Nand Erase All option enabled.
Before all that though, but it in a bag of rice for a day or two.
Had a similar problem but my phone at a lot of snow... I have a clear back so I could see that there was some water underneath it. I turned it off immediately and put it on a car vent with the heat cranked up. Doesn't have to be hear it can be ambient temperature. After an hour or so I checked and water was all gone.
Rice or the silica packets in shoes and the like would be great on a ziplock bag in dry inderect heat.
thx for reply,
tried to put it in a rice ziplock bag for 24hs ..nothing
when trying to put on first see the bootlogo ..than black screen and blue/white led blinking. ..I think it's a sort of error message, but who knows what doest it means

sorry but i dont understand the most important part :s
The blue and white led is what the device does when it powers on normally. I believe the alcohol burned out part of your motherboard. You will have to get a new device. Rice also does not work with alcohol

He may be having issues with the misspelling of "heat".
From the Users Manual (S6 edge - AT&T model)
Status light: Displays red when charging or the
battery is low, blue when a notification has arrived
or you are voice recording, and green when fully
charged.
Doesn't say anything about white. May be as he said, that's normal at boot-up. I don't have access to my phone at work.
I agree it's probably the end of the device. I know from experience that a phone with liquid damage is considered Beyond Economical Repair by Samsung. You can't pay them to fix it.

dead s6? black screen and blue led blinking

my s6 worked fine last night, had over 50% battery life, i went sleep,
this morning the phone wont wake up, having a black screen and a blue led blinking(5s) .
i pluged it to the charger, no led for charging shows, puting it ontop of the wireless charger, the charger change its color to blue, but the phone still on black screen and the blue led blinking...
i tried the hard reset :
* vol down + power(to simulate the battery removal)
* vol down+ vol up + power
*vol down/up +home +power
....all possible combinaisons
but no hope.
what can i do?
i'm on 5.1.1 and stock rom not rooted.

Since it's stock rom non root, throw back to samsung service center and blame on hardware failure, faulty battery or whichever reason to justify.
Most probably you will get free replacement if its hardware failure with no water damage or sign of dropped.
Loving 14nm Exynos 7420
thanks for replay,
not sure for this, i don't have a warranty for it..

Something similar happened to my sister's S5 before. Turned out to be a broken display panel caused by a 1-2mm hair scratch/crack on the display. Check your display under bright light and hope there's no damage.
no man, it's not related to screen, if so , at least i can connect it to my pc or have an orange led when charging... it's simply frozen and can't do anything of:
-simulate battery pull
-download mod
....

Charged the phone while I was doing some work ,I unplugged it at 90%,at the moment I didn't realized that the screen is yellow. After a few days I saw that the screen was a bit odd,if the screen shows a black photo, were the yellow spots are white.
Did it fall on the floor, took bad bumps, stayed on a heat font for a long period..? It's too much bizzarre to face this as a result of a software issue/error. You could try to send it to service center saying that you found it like that from one day to another, if it isn't a result of an accidental impact caused by you they should fix that by replacing the screen.
