Bro thanks for MIUI porting. we can check this rom but could you please be expandable. means spanshots, few more details like Camera or Used kernels..?? any additional features. coz everybody is lilbit irritate in Galaxy R forum due to ICS delay & few dev support. It's based on Epysys CM7. That means same kernel and the some problems like camera.

I use my cam everyday.. Will wait for the cam to work.. Looks awesome though!

Can someone explain me how cm and miui differ, other than visual differences?

How did you flash this one? I have tried to flash using CWM. But said, cant opened zip file. BAD..

Nup buddy, using 5 version of adam77.. so is there other option to flash? Also, can camera bug fixed?

Well, tested it and here's my report.
I've always loved the MIUI and its beautiful UI!
What works except what's in the OP:-
Themes
Music Player [Use PowerAMP in order to detect your songs].
Like the OP said, this ROM is very very unstable!
What I've found is that after you send a message/whatsapp message or make a call, or use TitaniumBackup to restore something, it goes into bootloop.
In order to get back in OS, you have to re-insert the battery. There is no other way.
There are many force closes. If you are using SIM Lock, you won't be able to type the code as the code window closes in a matter of seconds due to force close. That means you won't get any signal.
Hoping to get stable ROM from you buddy. Keep up the good work! :good:

Use CWM 5.

btw I'll check for the reboot issue and I hope it is not there as this issue made me stay at cwm 5.5.0.4 till today~

Many new devices do not support fb2png sadly
So, I consider it good

Problem happens with CWM versions above 5.5.0.4.
Also with twrp above 2.2.1.
Many have tried to fix this but did not succeed i guess.
Stock kernel? The one from stock sammy rom 2.3.6?

some tips/notes/bugs :
1- a delay ( 2-3 sec sleep ) while reading about menu could be good since it closes log window as soon as printing about finishes ( 0.1 sec or less )
2- reverting to stock background from a soild background not working ( seems that originial background has been removed from /res !)
3- lib/modules/dhd.ko not needed . could free ~400-500 Kb on ramdisk
4- about fb2png , would'nt be better if you use bmp-565 ? it seems a unsupported framebuffer problem , you should use rgbx-8888 and default functions from graphics.c to fix this
5- background png does not have good quality . a more simple one could be better

Sometime when you wake your phone by pressing power button, screen is still black. touch the screen after pressing power button will wake the device.

Kernel Source not Available due to Cherry Mobile did not release kernel source in public.
I used CM Flares Stock boot.img and modified it with Nokia x boot.img(i.e ramdisk contents)
Made a lot of trial and error for fixing bugs. Compiled more than 5 boot.img.​

You should also add in the thread that How to add Google account support, i.e. by copying GoogleLoginService, GoogleServicesFramework & Play Store apk to system/app & changing permissions or you should integrate it in next build or should make a flashable zip and post it.

I did not faced the problem you posted in quotes i.e. double tap.
One request, if you find bug fixes, updates, kindly make a simple flashable update zip instead of another build because I don't want to cost 200 MB for an update.
A question, where can I adjust/calibrate proximity sensor, I can't see option in display. Also typing *#*#36#*#* does not brings KTCIT. So can you provide compatible KTCIT apk & instructions for it.

I have Karbonn A9+. I have tried approx 10 custom ROMs but this is the best ever ROM. Cause it gives whole look change to device. Boots faster, apps run smooth, i.e. better RAM management.

No, I wasn't. I searched on Play Store for it but I found only one app by ZTE, it ran but force stopped when I tapped calibrate.
I searched for KTCIT and found one on 4shared and copied it in System/App, after reboot type *#*#36#*#*,but it didn't worked.

nice colors, good contrast..........
all things seem to be working fine, however i couldnt get advanced developer options, so couldnt try benchmarking in art runtime,
dalvik runtime got 18000 plus on antutu, and 7868 in quadrant..... nice scores, but art runtime gives better benchmarks....
loving the ui so far.... especially the camera and the music player(really cool).
the smart wake in the settings didnt work(i didnt expect it to), our phone isnt meant to work that way, and it consumes a lot of battery too in ansp...no crashes so far, root working perfectly normal... browser isthe stock android bundle...
camera is awesome, loved the live scene capture feature...gravity box and xposed working fine.
system boots up fast which is a good thing....

found a bug.... a very big one for me actually...
every time i turn off wifi and then turn it on again, my wifi mac adderss changes.... this might not be a problem for anyone else, but here in my college, devices with registered mac addresses can only access wifi... so it means no wifi for me in this rom..... switching to some other rom..... sorry.

Thanks for the review..try tapping 5 timea the build number in about phone..you might get developer option.

switched to miui, mac address back to original and not changing anymore....
thanks anyways.... your help is appreciated.......... actually the problem is that i couldnt use wifi on mobile without that registered mac address, so i reverted back to miui..... and no doubt miui is awesome, nice work dude

I am not able to receive any file from bluetoth its showing bluetoth unfortunately bluetooth has stopped...did any 1 else faced the same issue.

No lags... For me, its THE Best ROM i hv tried...
Only bug i encountered was that there are very few settings in developer mode...

Use sn write station to write the mac address on newly flashed stock rom, then it will not lost again and again, while flashing custom rom...

all things seem to be working fine, however i couldnt get advanced developer options, so couldnt try benchmarking in art runtime,
dalvik runtime got 18000 plus on antutu, and 7868 in quadrant..... nice scores, but art runtime gives better benchmarks....
loving the ui so far.... especially the camera and the music player(really cool).
the smart wake in the settings didnt work(i didnt expect it to), our phone isnt meant to work that way, and it consumes a lot of battery too in ansp...no crashes so far, root working perfectly normal... browser isthe stock android bundle...
camera is awesome, loved the live scene capture feature...gravity box and xposed working fine.
system boots up fast which is a good thing....

found a bug.... a very big one for me actually...
every time i turn off wifi and then turn it on again, my wifi mac adderss changes.... this might not be a problem for anyone else, but here in my college, devices with registered mac addresses can only access wifi... so it means no wifi for me in this rom..... switching to some other rom..... sorry.

I am getting Symlink error while flashing using TWRP 2.8.5 recovery for S007_KK version.
Please find my partition details below:
System : 750MB
Cache : 126MB
Data : 4GB
Sd card : 9.6GB

While in recovery mode, you can still take screenshots....try posting one here so that someone could help you...

Try 1 gb partiton method by avi sir...it will defintly solve the problem...

banner lost
before i flash this mod. my s8 banner notificatiin is lost and s7 edge banner notification come back!?
base on Bat man ROM 1.3

It does need custom settings app ? (I say this because on Batman aroma I choose stock system ui and stick settings apps , without rom control ) so just to know if it need a certain configuration of the rom to work (1.3 of course) thanks

Oh, sorry mate. I am on BatMan 1.3.0, that is why I flashed this, and boom, bootlooped. Have you tried this?

I am using my own mod buddy. I created with tutorial. Works fine in Bat 1.3.0. I am not using this mod.

Its need a S8 ported rom. Nothing else. U can flash it
