[Q] Call Volume a bit low? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have recently upgraded my S4 to an S6
I am finding that when i am talking on the phone and even though i have it set to full volume, it seems lower than my S4 was, there is an option i have seen called 'extra volume', but when i have turned this on, i havnt actually noticed much difference in volume?
Dunno if i have missed something or if it is just lower?
James

Frontspeaker crackling

Hi!
I just got my nexus s. When Im talking to someone else on the phone, the person I'm calling sounds very crackly. The crackling appears while having the volume > 50%. If its at 50% and lower the speaker sounds just fine. Another thing I noticed is that holding my thumb onto the speaker eliminates the crackling.
I think that I'm going to return the phone. Just wanted to know if I'm the only one having that kind of trouble.
The exact description of the phone is GT-I9023FSAC NX in case some one asks.
Thanks a lot!

are you on stock? no volume config apps?
if you havent done anything to your phone yet besides calling and texting, then yeah, i think you should get your phone replaced.

[Q] rom for chinaphone star w0077

hi guys just purchased w007 iphone copy running ics 4.0.4 and i must say that its pretty awesome but i've got a problem and need abit of help. the other day i noticed my in call volume was really low even on the highest settings. did a factory reset and everything but it is still the same, the media speaker is fine so i can make calls on speakerphone but the earpiece is barely audible. it was fine before and then just really low, thinking its some fault with the speaker. looked into getting a app to boost incall volume past the manufacturer settings and found out volume+ would do it but only if the phone was rooted which i did (and was quite easy to do). however even though the phone is rooted the call volume option (which ive seen in screen shots) is not present even though ive granted volume+ superuser permissions. so im thinking you actually need to be running a custom rom to get this option. now this is a copy chinaphone so info about it is pretty hard to find so i was wondering if anyone knew what customs roms are out for it and actually how to flash one to it. even better if anyone knows how to increase the call volume maybe by build prop or some other app or other way that would be awesome.

[Q] Call volume very low?

Is anyone else finding their call volume seems pretty low, my older s4 seemed to have been a little louder at full volume, but when full on the s6 im struggling to hear people sometimes.
Also, there is an option called 'extra volume' and when i press this on, there doesnt seem to be any difference in volume?
James
I noticed this too
Wow I expected the S6 to be revolutionary phone, but it's just full of problems...so dissapointed right now, hoping some smart developer will make a perfect rom for this device one day..
Bump
i agree, can anyone figure out how to make it louder? perhaps through mixer path?

[Q] Low speaker output/Volume

I have a gsm galaxy s6 in the UK
To me the loudspeaker output volume is low, certainly lower than the first one i had and im wondering if its anything to do with a recent update.
To explain further, when the s6 was first released i had one of each (s6 and s6 edge) and the handset was on 5.0.1
I was not entirely convinced by the handset and decided to return them and go back to my iphone 6. One of the things i was really impressed with on the handset though was the speaker output. I remember this particularly as it really stood out and i can remember that when playing music or watching youtube that even on 1/2 volume it seemed as loud as any other phone i had used with plenty in the bank to go higher.
Anyway, after a couple of weeks i decided to leave the iphone and get another s6. This phone was purchased sim free and came to me fully updated to 5.0.2 (no further updates available)
I find now that with this phone the volume seems really low and find myself playing it often above the 3/4 mark and not far off full.
I know that these type of things are quite subjective but i am certain the earlier ones i had were much louder.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this or could give some suggestions as to anything that may cause the volume to be lower for any reason.
thanks
Really only just me them?
Not just you, i also posted a similar post, i am also in the uk, i have an s6 that come with 5.0.2 already on it and my call volume seems a lot lower on max compared to my older s4.
I noticed theres a setting when making calls that says 'extra volume' when you press this, it doesnt seem to do anything?
For me its the loudspeaker volume when playing movies or YouTube etc.

Android Volume Too Low?

Hello everyone, i own a Galaxy Note N5100 and i notice that its volume (mainly speaking for headphones) is too low, it doesn't compare to any other devices that i used for music. And i suppose this is not a problem only with the N5100, my older Galaxy S3 also had this problem.
Feels like the volume is capped at 1/4 of what it supposed to be able to get. I wonder what makes the android sound volumes being so low and also what could i make to possibly fix this? I know that those popular apps from the playstore doesnt do the job very well. Is there any way i can mod this phone to fix this? Maybe it could be something ROM related?
Anyway thanks for reading
