The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-L available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-L builds use the device's stock CyanogenMod 12 kernel.

At the least so called users should wait until that someone with unlimited and fast internet post his reviews and findings.
many developers left development just because of these so called users asking such type of questions which doesn't add value to the development

Tentacles settings with all its features
Edit: I don't know if dual sim works, I have an XT1031

WTF xda? Of course the OP should tell us what the features of the ROM are. Why should anyone download it without knowing what it actually is?

Friends..
This is the best ROM Ever..
working smooth and stable with bundle of features..
working dual sim (xt1033)

ACTUALLY he CAN, he doesnt have to. Why should he HAVE too? if your gonna complain about not having the OP updated with a list of features because your to lazy to test & see then you shouldnt be on XDA. simple as that.

And everyone suddenly become hostile, calm down guys.
OP, i strongly recommend you to post the features of this ROM and what variant is working based on user report and why everyone is asking? Because the lack of information in this thread about what the ROM features is, what variant of Moto G it supports, and if OP doesn't tested it, at least leave a "TEST IT YOURSELF" on the thread. There are already reports from the users and i think it should be added to the first post to add some information.
No disrespect to the OP and everyone here, we really appreciate you, OP for bringing more ROM to our phones, this is just a little suggestion from me.
This debate needs to stop before it turns into flame war.
Just my two cents. Peace.

@Krizthian ur ROM is stable as always .. Loving its features this time ... I found it cool that the app tentacles handle all the features .. Really awesome ROM ... Just one thing .. I noticed that there is no way to add a greeting in status bar .. Rest of all .. The rom is smooth and awesome ... Stable too

When you say that people will also ask something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60399003&postcount=1135
that link is from a AICP thread which crossed 1000 post. asking for features lol
@Aayushya do have something to say about that.
edit : im just generalizing the issue

see people whatever it may be .. u ppl should download the rom and use it ... if any bugs report it here ... developers are working harder than us ... so u all have to respect that thing ... btw the rom is good and has minor bugs ... i just found one bug and that is there is no option to edit d greeting in status bar

As always, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device due to custom rom / kernel flashing & other lovely things that you do with it
It is expected of you to know what you are doing.
We intend this to be a friendly, learning thread.
Requests, Suggestions & feedback are always welcome.
Team Twisted would like to bring to you - Twisted Android Project
This has been a serious learning experience for all of us involved as well as a super fun trip
We totally enjoyed making this, and hope you like it as well.
We would first and foremost like to Thank all our friends., There are many, many devs here on XDA who have been patient with us and have always been there to lend a helping hand. It would be impossible to name all of you, but if we have spoken to you even once, we are deeply grateful for what you have done.
Something that may seem very simple to one person, would have probably helped us get out of a hole that we were stuck in for days [emoji14]
Help has been invaluable, we will not forget it!
Special thanks to our awesome Testers.Their constant support on a minute to minute basis has been incredible and invaluable There have been days of flashing 12-15 different builds in a session, and all of you have been so helpful, patient, and so much fun to be around, it made doing this a huge pleasure. Unknown usernames online have become good friends, and this is by far the best outcome of this project.
Thanks to all the folks over at the Slim Builder’s Collective, where all of this began
We would like to note that we do not take credit for any of the code for any of the features we have included. All thanks goes to the super awesome, and highly talented devs and teams. We have tried as far as possible to maintain credits in our GIT commit pages, but if in any instance during conflict resolution, or when we commit using SmartGit, the original author’s name has been obfuscated, please accept our apologies, do bring it to our attention, we will correct the oversight immediately. We are extremely thankful to all the coders out there who put out amazing new features, patches and updates that makes the Android experience a lot more brilliant…
This is our small contribution back to the community that taught us everything :good:
Thanks to SlimRoms, CM, OptiPop, Layers Team & many of the other open source projects out there.

Coming from stock or another ROM:
Factory Reset
Full wdata, wipe: system, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash the Twisted build.
Flash gapps
DO NOT Flash latest SuperSU
Coming from previous Twisted build:
Flash the Twisted build.
No need to wipe dalvik-cache.
Layers Backup app in twisted apps allows you to retain the set layers after a dirty flash. We recognise the fact that there is a similar feature within Layers Manager, however there is a major difference.
You set all the layers you want, click on the backup & let it do it’s work. After you do a dirty flash, the ROM boots with your layers pre-installed. No need of a reboot.
If you are facing issues with the power button not responding, got to Display, check ‘Prevent accidental wake up’. Then switch it off again. Reboot.
Flashing SuperSU during ROM flash may result in losing Advanced Power Menu
No reason for xposed not to work on twisted. But if any issues, we may not be able to support them

About Xperience.cyanogeN
Xperience.cyanogeN Team is known for their unwavering pursuit of performance, audio superiority, battery conservation & rock solid stability.
Our Aim is to develop Rom based on the CyanogenMod sources and tweaked it to deliver maximum throughput from Moto G ...!!!
How do we achieve this feat?
What we do is compile a Rom based on Cyanogen Sources and then modify n customize it to gain maximum throughput from Moto G.
This is achieved by Iterative Stress Testing on our devices (We have both XT1033 and Xt1032 variants). We only Concentrate on One Rom for One Device , so that the Rom is tailored made for Moto G and Updates aren't hampered .
We also compile our own custom kernel i.e. OverKill Kernel . The purpose of Overkill was to produce a kernel that provided smooth, solid operation of the OS, regardless of load requirement (CPU), that provided the best possible audio playback that our hardware could produce, that gaming would be as good as we expect it to be from an Adreno 305 gpu... And the most important feature, Enjoyment of your handset every single time you turn on your screen...!
The end result of this process is a Rom that is Tried and Tested so users don't need to worry about any issues .
We always compile our Rom from latest Cyanogen sources, and if any features are broken then we try to fix it or revert the commit to last stable one. So you will always find Rom which is Stable as Rock !
Features:
Kernel
24bit audio support
Low latency audio playback
Faux Sound kernel modification
Enabled additional Moto G Exclusive audio channels TPA-a6165
Optimized Ram distribution methods
Optimised GPU
Optimised Core power control without use of "Power Efficient Work Queue
Reduced read/write I/O cycles to eMMc (prolongs life cycle of internal memory
High fidelity headset supported & enabled
de-bloated Govs/Scheds (only the best remain)
Many, Many global kernel optimisations
Rom
Same as CyanogenMod11
Many more coming soon

True that we are late for Party ... but it's better to be late than never Anyways we are not competing with anyone, the basic Aim of this Rom was to provide users a hassle free experience, where people can flash this Rom without worrying about stability issues !

What makes different from the official omnirom:
Compiled with a custom toolchain, Uber for better performance and battery life.
Compiled with the GCC optimization level -O3.
Compiled with strict-aliasing compiler optimization.
Added ARMv7 optimized string handling routines for more smoothness and memory optimization.
Disabled SQLite fsync to increase I/O performance.

F.A.Q (Freaking Annoying Questions)(OLD)(Deprecated)
How to use Xposed with SlimSaber?
Just use THIS version. It has been modified with ART changes. Special thanks to @patrickph for this.
Chamber of Secrets
In my opinion, this is the most powerful Slim feature ever implemented. However this is a dangerous feature which is hidden by default.
How to enable it:
Go to Development Settings - Scroll to the bottom - Tap the empty area
How to use it:
Go to your home screen
Add a widget and choose Slim Shortcuts
Since it is a type of shortcut, you can use it somewhere else, e.g. in Nova launcher's gesture.
Click Chamber of Secrets
Go to https://github.com/SlimSaber/frameworks_base/blob/lp5.1/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java and pick one of settings name
There are two types of settings: A switch setting and a value-based setting
If you are unsure about the setting type, don't use this setting because which value that will be used is matter. You could end up with continuous FC or even a full wipe.
Example for switch setting: show_alarm_icon
Enter the setting name "show_alarm_icon"
Answer Switch question to "yes"
Example for value-based setting: statusbar_clock_style
Enter the setting name "statusbar_clock_style"
Answer Switch question to "no"
Enter the possible value: "0,1,2"
If you aren't sure about the values, don't use this setting
Another use case to use CoS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61557183&postcount=11092
What is Layers and how to use it
Layers main thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/official-layers-bitsyko-apps-rro-t3012172
What is the differences between the Slim gapps packages mini, normal and full?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/slimroms/general/gapps-official-slim-gapps-trds-slimkat-t2792842
How to disable CellBroadcastReceiver
Go to Settings - More - Emergency broadcasts
Root doesn't work!
Enable 'Developer options'
Go to Settings -> About Phone
Tap on the Build Number 7 times
Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access
Choose 'Apps' or 'Apps and ADB'
great job! hows it running for you?
Works very well, thanks mate!! [emoji6]
Sorry for noob question. Do such optimizations have anything to do with how rom is built or is everything kernel side?

Thank you so much for this! I love how stable and smooth slim rom always seems to be. Was sad to see anerik say he doesn't care for layers and didn't plan to add the commits for it to work. This is perfect!
Thanks a lot aayushya for one more layers supported ROM. Working very smooth. Will test battery now.

Who's back? We're back.
CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
We only support Dynamic (Beans) GApps, reports on force closes with any other packages will be ignored.

FAQs (Please read before posting questions):
Q: Does this ROM support OMS?
A: Yes, full OMS7 support is present.
Q: What firmware do I need to be on?
A: Oxygen OS Open Beta 19 (OnePlus 3) / Open Beta 10 (OnePlus 3T). This answer will be updated as and when needed.
Q: Does the ROM work on both the OP3 and OP3T?
A: Read the thread title. Yes it does.
Q: Is the ROM rooted by default?
A: No, please flash your favorite root solution after installing the ROM.
Q: Is the camera good?
A: The ROM uses the device tree from Lineage OS. Expect similar quality. Feel free to install OnePlus Camera and try it out, but no support will be given for the same. As of writing this post, the latest build includes HAL3 support, so you can also use Google Camera, although Slow Motion doesn't work.
Q: Do I need to make a factory reset before installing this ROM?
A: If you're installing it for the first time, YES, a full factory reset is required. If you're moving from an unofficial build to official weeklies, A FULL WIPE IS REQUIRED. Otherwise, dirty flash would work fine. If you have any issues with Google apps crashing, flash your gapps again.
Q: VOLTE?
A: Theoretically yes, but I have not tested it. Fixed in the newest weeklies. Enjoy you Jio peasants
Q: SafetyNet?
A: Sure, if you use Magisk and enable Magisk hide.

I cannot say for sure when weeklies will start. There is an updater app included in the ROM but I am not sure if you can upgrade to weekly from the unofficial ROM.
OMS7 patches are included

Originally yesterday, but FTP upload ****ed me up, don't know when I manage to fix that unfortunally, BUT OP3 will be among the first set. An OTA App is included, Substratum is fully supported.
Damn i last used carbon on my xperia ZR in the kitkat days. Looking forward to trying this out! Cheers
@drakonizer The github shows an trustzone query in the BoardConfig.mk but you haven't included a firmware link, might want to include this in your original post.

Won't that cause issues if people are using incompatible firmware?

As long as they are using Nougat firmware, it should be fine. Some others have also removed it. LineageOS uses an outdated TZ check, and it was better to remove it temporarily. I may add it back in the future.
