[Completed] [Q] Can't root my S6000-f lenovo tablet. Can anyone help? - XDA Assist

I've been following this guide and well here are the steps.
"1) To get started, download Framaroot application and install it on your Lenovo IdeaTab. Once done, you will see the Framaroot app in the app’s menu in your device.
2) Once installed, open the Framaroot app and tap on any of the three root exploit options listed in the main screen: Boromir, Barahir or Faramir for the installation of “SuperSu” app.
3) Once you have tapped on any of the root exploit options, the rooting process will get started and in a while you will see “Success! Superuser and su binary installed” message. Now the Framaroot app will ask for rebooting your device. Just do it.
4) After rebooting, your device will show the “SuperSU” app in the app’s menu which confirms the rooting process is successfully finished.
That’s it. Now you have successfully finished rooting your Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 Android Tablet. If you have followed this tutorial and successfully rooted your Lenovo tablet, help spread the buzz by sharing this tutorial on popular social networking websites."
I've made it to step 3 but I'm stuck there. Once Framaroot told me to reboot, I wasn't sure how to. If that's just turning it off and on then I tried that and once I made it to the app menu I couldn't find the "SuperSU" app. I also tried a factory reset. That didn't work, so I downloaded Framaroot again and now I'm just on step 3, trying to make SuperSU appear. I know for a fact I have the right tablet. My Model Number - IdealTab S6000-F. Can anyone help me?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. The best idea is probably to ask your question in the thread that contains the guide that you're using.

No response in two days, thread closed.

[Q] [newb alert] HELP regarding GT-P5110 (root issue)

Hi.
I'm trying to root my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (wi-fi)
I seem to have been able to root it however it seems busybox neither superuser is not detected by root checker app. As far as I'm aware busybox is needed to continue to install cwm right?
I have super user installed though...
Please understand this was gifted to me by a relative who lives in Australia i.e. origin of the product is Australian.
I can't seem to understand how to flash cwm onto this.
I followed a bunch of sites.
Links:
http://droidfirmwares.com/how-to-root-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-p5110-easy-tutorial.html/2 (mainly this but it seems I sort of followed mix advice of both)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203309
I used the PDA option in Odin however after that I can't make head or tail of how to proceed to install clockworkmod recovery.
It seems incredible that just 2 weeks back I had been able to mod my Sensation XE and Xperia Z but am utterly confused as to how to proceed in this case. Please help.
Continuation
Apparently every time I run Odin and install it always installs and in root checker app it shows rooted however superuser and busybox are not shown although superuser asks permission for using root checker which I grant??
Whats happening? :X
I hope I have made my position a little clear.
1. It shows rooted in root checker
2. I have supersu installed (althought root checker denies it)
3. How do I proceed to install CWM (I tried installing couple of times from playstore it downloads the update after I select my model no: and after that it gets stuck on flashing)
4. Please explain step by step

Galaxy tab 10.1 - p7510 - Rooted but not actually rooted

I got the root files from

which i got this link from

and followed this video

Install process went through smoothly. and i see superuser icon.
but when i installed titanium backup, It is complaining about no root privileges.
Any help in resolving this?.
Checking privileges?
Have you checked using the SU app if you have the root privileges? My SU app also asked me if it should turn of KNOX - before KNOX canceled some actions of apps having root privileges granted by SU. I used rootchecker to check if rooting worked. When I am starting an app that needs root privileges SU pops up and asked if it should give this app root privileges. So first you need to check if your device has been successfully rooted.

I think you haven't installed USB DRIVERS properly
Here is solution:
Download update.zip from attachment then add it to INTERNAL MEMORY. Then turn of your device boot it to recovery (see picture, you must press both volume up and power key at the same time until you see your TAB 10.1 logo) then in recovery chose apply update.zip wait for it to finish then choose reboot now. It should do the trick
Don't forget to hit thanks.

Just picked up a Neo 4.5 as a gift for someone today. Rooted & installed SuperSU binary & App w/ Framaroot v1.9.4. Maybe the version you tried didn't have the correct strings for the MT6572 yet. I believe it worked with Boramir.
i need root too

I´'ve rooted several BLUs with Kingo Root (just Google search for it and install it on your laptop). The challenge if you are a noobie is that sometimes you miss a step OR people assume that you know the basics, so they forget to tell you about some important steps that you must take before you root.
Instructions:
1. Install Kingo Root.
2. On your BLU, open Settings (make sure you have allowed applications to be installed from Unknown Sources...you'll find this option under Security in the Settings)..
3. In Settings, go to About Phone and rapidly click on the "Build Number" as many times as it takes to say, "You are now a developer". This will open a new option in the Settings called Developer Options.
4. In Settings, now go to Developer Options and make sure it is ON and also turn on the USB Debugging. VERY IMPORTANT!
5. Now connect your BLU to your computer via a USB cable and wait till all the drivers are installed and the device is READY TO USE.
6. Disconnect your phone from the computer.
7. Run the Kingo Root software.
8. Connect your phone to the computer (Kingo will eventually connect to the phone and then will show you a big ROOT button.
9. Click the big ROOT button and sit back till it does its thing.
10. Wait till Kingo gives you the "ROOTED!" message and then you are done (so go ahead and unplug your phone from USB and close Kingo Root software).
11. Reboot your phone and confirm root (download Busy Box Checker from Play Store). You might also want to download Busy Box X and install the busybox binaries..
OPTIONAL SUPERUSER:
You don't have to do this next part if you're happy with Kingo User.
Note that these days, Kingo Root will install a superuser (su) binary that is controlled by their own app called Kingo User instead of the SuperSU app. If you want SuperSU by Chainfire, you have to search XDA for BETA SuperSU 2.49. You'll find a zip file with a beta version of SuperSU and a script that will eliminate Kingo User and replace it with SuperSU.
Install BUSY BOX X on your phone (download from Play Store).
Place the SuperSU v2.49 zip on your SD card in the phone (IT MUST BE THE VERSION 2.49 NOT THE OFFICIL 2.46 OR THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK). Then boot into recovery (to do that you turn your phone off and then after it is off, you restart it with the power button while you are holding down the volume UP button). Then you use the menu you find there to "Install a zip from SD card". Select the zip you just put on the SD card, and it will flash the SuperSU program and binaries to your phone, while deleting the Kingo User app and it's binaries. Now select Reboot System at the top of the menu and you're all done.

Any chance you could PM me or mirror the 1.9.4 apk? I can't find it from a reliable resource online, and 1.9.3 did not root my new Neo 4.5. Tried several other rooting tools, none of which worked, so I'd love to be able to get my hands on the apk you used to do the root.
Thanks!

You still have not rooted your Neo 4.5? Can you give us a little more information? Respond to the following questions:
1. Have you turned on Developer Options on the phone?
2. Have you turned on USB Debugging in the Developer Options?
3. Have you installed the USB drivers for your phone?
4. Download and run MTK Droid Tools (as administrator). Just Google it and you will find lots of sources for the software (including here on XDA). Then connect your phone via USB cable. What message is shown on the bottom left corner of the MTK Droid window? Take a screenshot of your computer screen if possible and post it here.
Once you've answered these questions, we'll be able to help you.

It is done
i root it
You have to use the latest version of Kingo root apk. and install it on your phone
Make sure u have the usual Debug mode on and to allow unknown apps ......it is simple and easy
try 360 Roo
Hi, for everyone trying to root blu neo 4.5, I have recently got my phone rooted and had tried all the other root apps out there, but the one that did the job is 360 Root, you can download it from google play store or just google it online and download. you should watch the video on youtube also, it's not in English but will still help you to understand the step by step process.

[Tutorial] ROOT for Hisense Smartphones & Tablets

.
After all, I have succeeded in ROOTing my Hisense Sero 5 (HS-L691), here are the instructions how you (hopefully, if successful, please write feedback/say thanks ) can (hopefully all) ROOT your Hisense Smartphones & Tablets.
You will need:
• Kingroot in the latest version (currently I have installed 4.6.0).
Official Homepage: www[dot]kingroot[dot]net
[If you want to try it instead with Towelroot, Framaroot or similar, please post here, if it was or wasn't successful. Thanks! ]
1) Start Kingroot and wait until your smartphone model and "Root access is not available" appears.
2) Go (via the notification bar) to Settings -> Device: Apps -> Manage applications -> All.
3) Look at the end of the Apps list for the App with Chinese characters and a lock as an App icon (see screenshot).
4) Click "Force stop" and confirm the warning message with OK.
5) Switch (on the most recently used apps, home button double tap) to Kingroot and press the "TRY TO ROOT" button.
6) Wait until Kingroot reports the success (and share it with others, if you want. )
7) Now you can install Busybox, the modified Play Store, Lucky Patcher etc. (or for what ever you need ROOT. ) and enjoy yourselves life and possibilities of your Hisense Smartphones and/or Tablet.
Best wishes

Question about iRoot: What is app cool that it tries do install on my phone?

Trying to root my Mi 5s Plus with iRoot. I've downloaded iRoot from iroot.com
I've checked numerous guides about iRoot. Every one of the guide says that once you push root the device might restart, and it takes a couple of second to root the device.
HOWEVER...
My device asking permission to install an app called "App Cool".
I've denied this and the phone rooting fails.
What is this App Cool that no one mentions in the guides? Why I don't find anything on google regarding this process with iRoot and ANYITHING about this app?
This is too suspicious for me to continue.
Asking the professional community, what is this, why no mentions about this step anywhere?
Ok,
Disregard my question. It is clear that EVERY iroot website is fake, and contains trojans and viruses.
Don't download any of the iroot apps guys, dont try to install it on your pc.
The second Iroot I've installed downloaded a file in the background and asked admin permission to an exe file with suspicious chinese characters and numbers in name.
Dangerous guys, rooting a phone doesn't worth loosing all your personal data.
I'm stopping this now and I won't trust any iRoot software moving forward -or anything else to be honest-

Your phone has a twrp, just unlock bootloader flash twrp using fastboot then flash SuperSU zip file
Note that unlocking bootloader voids warranty + triggers a factory reset

I'm curious what that 4days old account is promoting to me.
But that account is suspicious too. All he is doing on the forum promoting that app, with his 9 comments so far.
I assume admins will soon delete its account but he will make another one and the thing goes on and on.

Forgot to mention about " cool app" good thing you didn't root with that usually Chinese one-click-root apps install other apps that becomes a app in the system (can't be removed) also the root itself is unremovable ++ suspicious
