Yeah so for some reason I can't copy Microsoft Excel files to my Galaxy S6 from PC to phone ...Anyone else have this problem? Any workarounds?
I mean besides uploading to Google drive and re-downloading from there.

My Universal died a few days ago, so i desperately copied over most of the data from the phone onto my SD card (i couldn't sync, because the USB port was broken and my bluetooth dongle refuses to work on my PC... GRRRR).
So anyway, i did some googling, but i never managed to find out WHERE exactly WM5 stores the contact data?
I had a good look around, but couldn't find anything obvious, but i found a file called PIM (no file extension). I'm assuming that that's the file that contains the contact info?!
If so, can i simply copy this over to my new phone (running WM6) and not have to re-sync or do anything else?!
Thanks!
on my device it's called pim.vol
How big is it? I've just noticed that my old PIM file (which has got around 50 contacts) is 344KB.... and so is the fresh (empty) PIM file on my Kaiser! lol
Hi,
Is there anyway with WM5 / activesync 4.5 to syc two folders rather than just the 'my docs' folder? I seem to be able to add extra files from the desktop to sync, but not folders.
I effectivly want to constantly & automatically backup a small folder on my PC to my XDA, aswell as the usual my docs folder.
Thanks Anthony

A program called easy sync will work for you. I needed the same thing and found that this program works wonders. Not to difficult but not very easy either, but will sync any folder, file or whatever else you want in whatever folder you have on your device and computer. Hope this helps.

EXCELLENT!
Great!
Looks perfect, I will never forget to keep those files backed up now, it will be done everytime I connect my PPC.
Perfect thanks

My wife uses her MDA to access her work email in OWA but has issues opening PDF docs. A script alert pops up when she tries to open a PDF attachment that says we need to right click to save it to the drive first. Anyone know how to get around that and download the file?
Hi
I am unable to read my PC office files (.xls, .doc etc) on my office mobile in my cruise, it keep sayin they are corrupted. And also I cant open any office mobile file on my PC office.
Seem to be they were not convert during the active sync explorer.
Checked the conversion rule and found limited rule.
Anyone experience similar issue and know how to solve this?
I mainly use microsofts office on my phone, a free account works fine for my needs, the thing is I have all of my files on google drive (since I pay for google Fotos/storage) and I cannot edit my files and save the changes on google drive. Whenever I open an office file that is stored on google drive, I get a message from word or excel saying that the file is protected and I need to save a copy if I want to save the changes. Is this a known issue or has this something to do with the free microsoft account?
