I am trying to find a uk stock for he grey version 3g but noone seems to have it yet.
Expansys are lying to everyone posting that the stock will be in less than 5 days and when you place the preorder you see that actually you are getting it in a month! On email communication they said no earlier than the 14th of september. Conveniently they do not put that on the site so they can get more pre-orders.
Amazon uk says unknown expectancy and cfw doesn't even list it!
Anyone knows a reputable shop that can give us an idea of when its coming?

John Lewis online have both the wifi and 3G models in stock - 16gb. You can do their click and collect service for next day pick from your nearest JL or Waitrose store.

Clove Technology seem a decent enough outfit. You could ask them when they will have a grey one.
Iirc it'll be around 1 week of Sept to get the grey ones. Asked the Sammy flagship store in Westfield.

You can pick up the Grey wifi version on ebay now for £429.99. £30 more than itll be sold in stores when released but worth it if you dont want to wait.. delivery was 3 days and the tab is perfect glad I ordered it rather than settle for the white.

Has this device got a planned UK release date at all? I cant find any info about when I would be able to walk into a brick and mortar shop and pick one up. It was announced 2-3 months ago, reviewed a month ago and still nothing. Its ridiculous. Same with the htc desire 820. Its like they are phantom phones. No info on expansys, cw or simplyelectronics websites. All a bit worrying.

Buy from amazon.fr whilst you still can. UK price will be rip off.

i got mine off eBay UK for £530 including shipping. A lady in Birmingham had 4 an it sold out within £48hrs. just keep looking on eBay. you might get lucky.

Dude that is crazy. I am using the European model with 2gb and came from a z2 with 3gb and this is faster. The chinese model is problematic for UK users but if you prefer more numbers then pay extra. I paid £355 for mine and its best phone to date. I have owned loads or I would not be on xda

Just ordered 64gb Orchid Gray S8. Decided on S8 rather than S8+ I figured a 5.7" screen was big enough!
This is my first ever Samsung phone, coming from OnePlus 3T. Really like the screens they are amazing.
Would be interested to know more about the processor and if bootloader will be unlockable like US versions. Actually with the 3T I just kept it locked and stock as well.
The US versions will be unlockable? What's your source on that? Word has been they will continue to lock all North American Snapdragons as has been their recent policy. The international on the other hand has remained unlockable and the conventional wisdom is it will remain so for the time being.

For the US version, I was looking at threads here, but admit did not go into a lot of detail in them. I bought directly from Samsung. I dislike carphone warehouse I had a pre-order for an HTC 10 with them, decided to cancel. What they didn't tell me at time of canceling was rather than getting automatically re-funded I got credit instead. I was just inside the window to get the money charged back to my account.
Also decided to go for the orchid grey as it looked amazing as well!
I'll wait three months or four. Then i might get the S8!

Sadly no promotions for us in Europe at all. Asked many stores across Germany, Switzerland, Austria as well as UK.

I contacted my local vendors, Amazon as well as Samsung directly. They confirmend that we here in Europe won't get any promotions other than the included headsets.
At least not in Austria, Germany and Switzerland

i dont think we will get the promotions as in the sd card + headphones bundle but we will get a free gear vr or a dex station otherwise Samsung would lose a lot of customers
Ordered both from Samsung shop UK (wasn't sure what size I wanted) but noticed CPW in the uk were offering a free Bluetooth speaker with pre orders (Don't need one but it's free, and more than samsung are offering)
So decided to cancel both my samsung pre orders and just ordered the S8 from CPW with free gift.

how did you cancel your pre order with Samsung I have pre ordered the s8 but considering switching to the 8+ but I'm on the upgrade program and just been approved for new finance so not sure if I can or not

I have gone for the S8+ through O2 and you get a free speaker with them. Went into their store today and had a play on the S8 and S8+. Glad I have gone for the latter as it isn't as big as I feared. The size is actually really nice and both models look even more stunning in person.

I ordered mine with CPW with a free Samsung level slim speaker promo. Not expecting anything else like the BAR headset honestly. The headphones are '99$' ones apparently which i guess is nice. I am Just excited for the phone!
Now that's really unfair! Exclusively from the German online Samsung store the 9+ Dual SIM 256Gb is available for €1,049 but they will not ship outside Germany. It's only €100 more than the 64Gb version. I need to find a new German friend to buy it for me even if I have to pay the VAT! It will be available from 20 March.
How do you imagine the process? Iam form germany and have just order the 9+ 64GB.
It's gonna appear in other online shops as well, will probably take some time. And those will probably also ship to your country, just wait it out.

last year when the S8+ was released i did get my shipping mail one day later and the phone was already on its way
i think we get it on saturday like last year ... if the shipping way is the same it comes with the ship to amsterdam and flys to leipzig ... the next day it is at your door.
so it takes 48h.
I pre-ordered my S9+ at Mediamarkt (single sim, 64gb) on March 2nd and asked if they got the dual sim model. They said this was only sold in the Samsung online shop. Today, when I picked it up they gave me a dual sim model without saying anything to me and I noticed it when I got home.
Someone else with the same issue here?

In Germany, Mediamarkt, Amazon, deutsche Telekom, o2 and some more are only selling the DUOS DUAL SIM variant. That's normal.
It seems they are having problems with delivering the single model.
I pre-ordered my phone while the presentation at the mwc and its not shipped until now.

The offer could be for specific market area. For example, here the small print says "in effect in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark (Nordic Approved)". Each market area could have their own lures, depending on the market/sales situation, etc.
AFAIK, that "Samsung Members" app does about the same as "Samsung+" app (the latter is only for US). A good example about how a "global" company does not really understand what "global" means for customers.

This was a couple of weeks ago. Samsung was selling the 512GB card for $49.00 with the purchase of a new Note 9. A week later they were giving the 512GB card for free with the purchase of the Note 9.
I believe these deals are dead now. Seen a couple of people saying they receive a pack of 10 of the 512GB cards when they received their card from this promo.
Just wanted to hear from people that actually received the card from Samsung.

Over here the campaign continues to the end of the year. But, I can't give feedback on receiving a card, as I bought my phone one month before the campaign even started (tough luck for me).

Im from Norway and have a 512GB Note 9. When I bought the phone I got information about the bundle, that you get 512gb card.
Signed it, got confirmation and tracking and now 2 weeks after I got mine
I still have the link and the promo is vaild to 10. january. I think the promo is only for Norway/ Nordic.

The American one was a few weeks ago and I believe it's history now.
That one guy that says he received 10 of them from Samsung might be legit. I heard to same thing from another seller on eBay saying he also received 10 when he ordered the promo from Samsung with the phone.
I got one but had to pay through the nose for it.

I have a 256 gb just hate that pre-ordering a phone doesn't do you any good anymore. I would rather have 512 gb sdcard then the headphones I got lol

I just wrote to guy at tweeter that is PR from Samsung about this promo in Poland, i would gladly buy 512 GB card just to spare memory of phone and for storage more loseless music but 512GB card is very expensive, as was phone So - fingers crossed for this action. Maybe with little bit of luck - here in Poland - i can also get one card for free?

Typical normal customer prices have been around 1030€ (128GB) and 1300€ (512GB), with pretty much no normal/significant discount campaigns so far; most campaigns have been offering something additional instead of price reduction.
The conditions for getting that campaign are (out of memory) about having to be bought during the campaign, in Nordic countries (and probably also taken into use in those countries), create/have a Samsung account, using the Samsung Members app (i.e. one has to register that account on the phone, too), and can not be combined with other campaigns/discounts.
As I mentioned earlier, the campaigns are likely "market" specific (just like the prices and models are), and are made up and run by Samsung as they see fit in each area. E.g. if they had too much stock of NEE model, put up a nordic campaign for a month, problem solved. Or something like that.
