Just a bit confused, I just wonder what Wear App supports text input?
I think there is another keyboard and I did not bother with it.
Me too!
Wear internet browser, ES file explorer or other ADB-sideloaded app can be used with a keyboard

Didn't we include your email, may be in junk folder? How didn't you submit the request, by email or website?
Submit the quest from website is easier for us to catch up.
If you still have not received the email, please put your email here, i email to you straight away
Just submitted from your website. Looking forward to test it on my Sony Smart Watch 3.
Have tried it.
Didn't like the fact that the drawer for minilauncher blocked the buttons so deleted. Also I must admit I found the t9 input of messenger was just as good.
Still able to get the App for now?

I've seen a few App Requests posted as threads here, and I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to act as a catchall for App Requests. I gather that we have Dev Dudes from major tech corps roaming around these halls, so why not have a list of apps we want as consumers easily available to them!
I'll kick things off with these requests:
-A good, integrated guitar/bass tuner with metronome and practice timer(s)
-Adobe Camera RAW interface
-Adobe Bridge for tablets
-VLC Player for tablets
-DJ mixing software that can use headphone output and HDMI [audio] separately for cue/mix output
Feel free to point us to apps that fill requests as they are developed or if they have existed before the request
Way to develop/compile your own android programs.... (or at least just do the developping/autocomplete, etc would be AWESOME!) and well. an app that could launch a ubuntu distro

I'd like an app that you can instantly take a snapshot of the screen or take a camera snapshot and start to annotate on it right away, e.g you were browsing and came across something of interest and you want to add your own comments and underline or mark a specific area.
I know this can be done using repligo or ezpdf however it will involve a few steps to achieve using the Asus's in built snapshot feature and then converting the document to pdf in order to annotate but I want something instant without having to convert the file first, similar to htc flyers note taking app.
Can't you do this with Evernote? I just downloaded this last night but it seems really slick.

Unfortunately, you cannot annotate using evernote although it is fantastic for taking notes, i use it at work at meetings. I want to be able to take a snapshot of the meeting agenda which is usually printed and then start to add notes against agenda items.
I'm just going to make a list of the things I think will make this brilliant - I'm a very small time developer, and don't have the skills to do these, unfortunately:
Something similar to Microsoft Onenote - Drawing/notes/annotations all in one
"Phone Sync" where you pick up your tablet, and it also becomes your phone for SMS, MMS, Calls, and you can share clipboards between the two - This would be brilliant!
Decent Twitter and Facebook widgets
Modified Launcher with resizable widgets, folders - ideally, LauncherPro optimised for Honeycomb.
I'd like to see the Monkey Island games and some of the old Cinemaware titles such as Defender Of The Crown on Android.

I designed an Android app for tablet which I think would be pretty easy to make, UI, name, logo and all, but... I'm not a programmer. Also I believe this will be an app which would be handy for a lot of people.
Since I designed, thought of and branded the app I really don't just want to give the idea away to anyone, but if any app developer is interested feel free to contact me and I could explain the concept to them.
PS: I don't want a share of the profits or to get paid for it or anything like that, all I would want is to find a developer who could do justice to not only the concept but also to the design since there are so many well functioning but terrible looking android apps.
Excellent posts!
Thanks for the interest and the activity on the thread!
I'm watching a thread where a couple Asus dev dudes have actually weighed in on an issue users are having, so I'm gonna see if I can't point them to this one so we'll have some ears that can make a difference. Hopefully some [all?] of the ideas here will filter thru and become reality!
Kudos to everyone!
I'd like an app that can sync via bluetooth (not via the web/cloud), incoming sms messages/caller id/missed call info, from an android phone directly to the transformer with notifications.
I know there are lots which do it via the web, but this isn't an option for me (pre-pay sim not contract).
EDIT:
Another idea for an app, don't know if possible to implement or not. When browsing google search results it would be nice to have an app that lets you see how many kilobytes or megabytes a website requires you to download, before you accessed the page. So that mobile users can see how much data is required and can manage their free allowance better, or not be charged a fortune.
A media player app that can
1. have gesture controls like moboplayer
2. have good codec support like moboplayer
3. can stream from server
4. and can hide the honeycomb taskbar!!!!
Settlers of Catan map generator
Would be cool to see a Settlers of Catan map generator with support for Seafarers, Cities and Knights, Harbours and a roll counter.
did it ever occur to anyone that now that there is a keyboard and mouse capabilities that someone should port an fps to the transformer?
I would love an app/widget that monitored the battery of both the Transformer and the keyboard dock. It's almost impossible to tell how much juice is left in the keyboard. If someone knows of an app/widget or a built-in way to do that, please let me know.
Edit: I would also love to see a folder app that integrates data from the Market, so if I download a game, it automatically adds it to the Games folder, etc.

Eye-Fi for Android
I'd like to see a version of the EyeFi manager/control center for Android
still hunting for the torrent app to work with private torrents
alternate keyboard
since the dock is still in short supply it would be nice to have the ability to use my android phone as a keyboard/trackpad for my transformer through bluetooth or something. the entire screen could be a landscape keyboard that you could swipe down to access trackpad.
Hello
I wrote a shopping list application, in which i focused on a speed in
which you can create a shopping list and share(and update after that)
it with your friend. So i avoided any forms often frequented in this
type of applications, and came up with a very simple design. You would
just enter your items into the text field with some autocomplete,
adjust the amounts, then click sharing button, select your friend and
that's it.
I also use Google App Engine for server side to keep this free.
I wrote this a while ago, now i would like to improve it to add some
more features, so any feedback and ideas for improvement would be much
appreciated

I got this idea to many time ago, but was something like ( you should add it) a "social tasks" list, for example, there are some few tasks to do at home, you put this in the social to-do lists and everyone in the family could see the lists, and when the tasks are completed, they should be notified or the task deleted from the social list!!
Just watch the démo vidéo ans it looks really nice !

Really nice app, follows some feedback:
Try to implement the native ActionBar or use SherlockActionBar. Using just the native ActionBar will make your app incompatible with versions below 3.0. Using Sherlock your app will be compatible with 2.1 and above. This will make the app more integrated to the system.
Other changes you can make on this aspect is read the Design Guidelines (sorry I can't post links), learn some thing about good designs and look for other apps searching for inspiration.
Good! My housemates install this app too!

Hi @GammaL, great app!
Can you please add compatibility with Hebrew language? I mean, not a translation - an RTL support on the shopping list.
Please refer to the screenshot I added, to understand the problem.
You can see that the First item in the list is in English and is perfectly readable. The second item, is in Hebrew and automatically aligned to the right, so it's getting in line with the other buttons.
I use OurGroceries app. It is a pretty similar app and easy to use it would be worthwhile a look for feature set. That app also works on iOS and BB platform making it appealing to much wider audience. http://www.ourgroceries.com/

Agreed Holo please. http://developer.android.com/design/get-started/ui-overview.html
Also, maybe you might want to integrate Google Tasks or some more popular to do list manager, like Any.do or Toodeldo. That would make this app truly extraordinary.
Downloaded it but have not tried it yet, but I like the idea
Was wondering, how the data is transmitted from one phone to another ... is it over some server that you have setup?
What if other users end up with similar names? Would every Maryxx receive the list?
Would it be better if those big "- & +" are replaced with a simpler "< & >" or maybe even a manual entry box? Reason for a manual entry box is maybe the item required is 2.5kg or maybe 1.5 cartons or 1.5 litre of milk.
Thanks for your app
How do I login to a username or nickname that I've already created with this app? I downloaded it Friday but flashed a new rom Saturday, so now I can't use the same nickname I created Friday, and my wife is annoyed with me lol.

I had the same problem. This is the only weakness in an otherwise great app. The advice was to create a new new name and get the wife to share again. Was a but complex to achieve.

Hi all!
I am a first-time Android developer, and I developed a simple Contacts Manager app, called Contakts. It is a minimalist app, that presents contacts synchronized with your Google account with a clean UI.
I would love to improve this app, based on suggestions and feedback received from the community, so i'd appreciate if you tried it out. If you like it, please do rate and/or review it.
Thanks!

Simply, clear and useful! Add a particular dealer going right instead of redirecting to stock one and... Wow hahaha, I liked it a lot
Great app !
2 small pbs though :
I can't see the last contact of the list and when a contact name starts with low caps it's stuck at the bottom of the list.

Hello, I would like to introduce you our new app: Koala Phone (koalaphone.com)
Download on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koalaphone.silver
Help us translate Koala Phone to your language: https://crowdin.com/project/koala-phone-senior-launcher
It is a simple Android launcher, designed for seniors and people with vision problems. The interface looks like a classic feature phone with hardware buttons. If your parents still use these old Nokia phones, maybe it’s time for them to try something new
Main features:
large QWERTY keyboard for SMS messages, or classic phone keypad
touch-optimized apps: simplified camera, photo viewer, alarm clock and a flashlight
text can be enlarged, buttons have a vibration feedback
speech recognition for SMS messages, and text-to-speech support
Koala Phone is great for all the people who want to browse photos, use camera and other smart features, but do not want to fight with their phone.
An article about our research (Designing a mobile interface for older people): http://bit.ly/koala-medium
We are looking forward to all your feedback!
Koala Phone is available for free (you can unlock some paid features after 7-day trial, but you can still make calls or send messages, even with the free version).
I hope this post does not violate any community guidelines; similar Necta or Apex launcher has also a free and paid version. If this is a problem, I apologize...
Not good enough need more enchantment
Hello, what do you mean by more enchantment?
We are preparing a new update with possibility to change the color theme, or set the background image.
Hello. Im using this launcher now. Is this diaplay normal? Please see attached image pls.
Sent from my ALCATEL ONE TOUCH 6030X using XDA Free mobile app
The image should not be definitely that blurry. I have just checked our code and everything seems to be OK...
Is your display resolution really 960x540 px? Did you changed your DPI or other params in your phone?
Dear Tomas,
I was changing a smartphone to a senior phone and realized that there is a new launcher called Koala. I would say that the market absolutely needs a proper senior launcher app, and I am talking with an experience as a grandson who change 4-5 smartphones into a senior phone, sadly by paying huge amount of money for BigLauncher.
I would be happy to provide you a feedback also in more detail if you are interested in, but at the first stage, I would like to comment and if you wouldn't mind, point out certain issues for me. But before that I should say that I am very impressed with the launcher. It absolutely has a good touch and one of the best among others (consider that I probably tried 15-20 different launchers ):
1- Language! Sadly the current version supports only English and Czech. Yet we would like to have it in every possible languages. Sadly my grandparents cannot understand English very well.
2- Call directly through phonebook or favorites: For eyes that have been worked for many years, it may be hard to write an SMS. So I would definitely like for my grandparent, a phone book which calls directly the contact that is selected without pushing more buttons.
3- A home screen, with phonebook icon, dialer icon, and favorite contacts.
I believe at least first two is necessary for me and felt obliged to write, despite the fact that I am mostly a lurker on xda.
I wish you a pleasant day!
Hello, thank you for your kind words!
1 - Which language do they talk? We plan to add new languages soon, but we wanted to finish the app first.
2 - This is a great idea! I can add a new item into the settings, so you will be able to choose it.
3 - We will think about it... But currently the home screen is the dialer (so the launcher looks like a classic phone). Favorite contacts and other contacts are combined on one screen; this combination was more understandable for users, than two different screens.
If you need any help for translation, I can do the french freely
[EDIT]
In my opinion, the only missing things are an azerty keyboard option, and a clearer icon for the contacts app on the home screen
Anyway, realy nice job!
Awesome, I found a great launcher for my dad. :good::good::good:
hh amazing idia , nice video good job !:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Hello, thank you for your support!
We plan to localize Koala Phone to other languages.
I will prepare a registration on some website for collaborative translations. We will be glad if you help us with translation of your language
Thank you!
OK, you can try to upload your translations here: https://crowdin.com/project/koala-phone-senior-launcher
I hope I have set up everything correctly.
Thanks a lot!
Indian languages not in list :/
I'm currently evaluating its use for my Dad.
Wish list to be able to customize the menu:
Add custom applications directly to the menu (for example Viber, Skype etc.), instead of having to wade through another sub menu.
Being able to change the order of items in the menu & ability to add buttons to directly call a couple of numbers. (I know, a bit of redundancy, with this being available in contacts, but still, a nice to have feature)
Change the look & feel of the home page - retain the old school dialer, but being able to specify a background image at the top, change to analog clock etc.
Each person has their own requirements. Having flexibility would increase the overall appeal.
I wouldn't mind paying for the Gold version if it brings this level of flexibility/customization.
How do I add a new language to the crowdin project?
Thanks for the great app,
Jp
Hello, thank you for your message!
We plan to add more customization options: image backgrounds (wallpapers), and also configurable menu items.
What language do you want to add to the Crowdin? I have already added a Hindi language.
Really nice app, installed it on my dads phone. Easier to use.
Could I maybe help translating it? Dutch translation.
Apologies overlooked the crowdin link.

Just letting everyone know that FlickKey Keyboard for Wear was recently launched. It is the first independent keyboard for Android Wear. It is also the only fast and accurate keyboard for smartwatches - it does not need to rely heavily on disambiguation and autocorrection to work well.
FlickKey also does not need to be side-loaded. Just download it to try it. To send a message though, you need a supporting app. FlickKey for Wear is currently supported by three of the top messaging apps: Wear Messenger, Coffee - SMS for Wear, and K-9 for Wear. It is also free and simple to add FlickKey to any Wear app with just a few simple lines of code. (Email the support address for the code)
If you have not seen it, FlickKey solves the problem of typing on smartwatches through 6 "flick-able" keys. Just press and flick in the direction of an outside character. It works great on all touch screens - no special keyboard required for round watches. FlickKey also gives users multiple lines of editable text for a great messaging experience. Further, if you use voice input through FlickKey, you can edit, append, or add punctuation to the results - which is real nice.
Just search Google Play for "FlickKey Keyboard for Wear" if you would like to check it out, or add it to your app.
