Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900T) T-mobile (Rooted)
I'v installed Pimp My Rom recently and ran into a bootloop. Unfortunately i didn't backup my data before using Pimp my Rom and so now i have to reflash my stock rom.
Can i use Kies to reflash my stock rom? If so, will i loose any data? Is there a way to prevent kies from wiping my phone data?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Your best bet is to ask your question here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/help. But most likely you'll have to flash the stock firmware with Odin. You will lose your data. Don't forget to backup before before flashing anything next time.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 NC5 4.4.2 Kitkat on Verizon Wireless, the device is rooted and running a custom kernel with Ktweaker. I attempted to install a new rom (Cyanginemod 10.2 stable) using Safestrap custom recovery. The phone didn't take the rom so no biggy however the backup wouldn't restore. Now the device won't even enter any form of recovery or download mode only display the Samsung logo. I have already tried flashing the stock firmware and pit md5 file on the device using the latest version of Odin. No success only corrupted data and a lost system backup.

Hi
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy s2 GT-I9100, I have copied over to my phone the nessessary files to flash a custom Kitkat based rom (Rom, Kitkat compatible CWM and Gapps) my question is simple, is it possible to flash the rom etc without wiping the data and factory reset etc?
Cheers
yes, it is
Rom installed but a little niggle exists
Ok
I have used CyanogenMod's brilliant online utility to install the latest KitKat rom 4.4.4, all is fine except that I have some contact details missing. I backed everything up using Kies the night before I installed KitKat, but now Kies doesn't want to connect with my phone even though I have enabled USB Debugging.
Is there any other way I can retrieve the missing contacts?
Cheers
I usually wipe.

You should ask here....
Hi, my note 3 has no os installed and I already tried flashing roms but it didnt work, neither did the stock rom. It has twrp installed on it. All caches are deleted and the only thing on it is twrp. How can I fix this?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Probably the easiest thing to do is flash the stock firmware with Odin. Alternatively you could adb push a Rom zip to your phone and flash that with twrp. Odin will return your device to stock and you'll have to root again and put twrp back on. It also will wipe your device. See if someone here can help further, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3
Do i have to flash stock recovery before unrooting or just unrooting will take care of the job replacing the custom with the factory recovery ? Also the only way to connect my phone to my PC is via kies. Will this create any problems when i flash stock firmware with odin ?

Hello.
The model is Samsung galaxy s3 neo GT-i9301i. The problem i mentioned with keis is that i ignorantly deleted a system app called "MTP application 1.0" and i can't seem to install it again. That's why i need kies to connect to my PC.
