Can you downgrade from lollipop 5.1 to lollipop 5.0.2? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just wondered if you can downgrade from lolipop 5.1 to 5.0.1 or 5.0?

Yep. If you download the factory image from google you can downgrade to any version. You have to know how to flash factory files. I am sure there is a tutorial around here somewhere. There are some instructions on google's factory image page as well.

You do realize you're in the Nexus 5 subforum, do you?
Sammy's take might be different, but bootloaders usually are backwards-compatible, and in that case installing an older custom ROM poses no problem.

Try again BUT with 4.4.4 GApps and an updated rom. LS actually uses a 4.4.4 base.
Made a full wipe and disable all mods or xposed stuff.
Please guide me in steps how to follow the procedure of reinstalling updated ROM and GAAPS. actually I lost the procedure. I am very much thank full to you

Bootloader version isn't compatible with new CM updates

I'm currently using CM12 (20150318 build) but I'm unable to update to later builds. While flashing the update zip downloaded via the CM Updater, it says that the bootloader version of my device is x4113 whereas the zip is for x4118 and x4119. I had the same issues with Liquid Smooth and the Team UB ROM.

You do have to upgrade the bootloader, either via flashing the bootloader partitions via fastboot or via recovery.

I didn't follow any tutorials and did it on my own (had to find the OTA package and extract the bootloader files) via fastboot.
If you have a XT1031 or XT1033 I can directly send you a recovery-flashable zip that should do the trick. Otherwise just search.
