[Q] htc one m9 usb charge cord. - One (M9) Accessories

I am looking to purchase the USB charge cord for the m9 my old m7 cords don't work. is there anyone that can point me in the direction where to buy spare USB charge cables? They must be known to work for the m9

Anker is all I use anymore. Solid cables, and so far very durable.

6" Anker cables for $4.99

Anyone know where I can get a longer charging USB cable or will any Micro to 3.0 usb work?

Any micro USB cable should work. I get all my charging accessories from Anker who make quality product.

so???
the one and only....
monoprice. best deal on cables.
I will get a Sleeved cable from Pexonpcs.co.uk
Another suggestion is the cable that's built for the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. The one that came with mine is thick, feels quality and it's quite a bit longer than the one from HTC.

Power bank with built-in Type-C cable?

Does anyone know of any power banks with Type-C with a cable built into them? I can find a lot of them for MicroUSB and Lightning, but none for USB-C. (I ask because my previous phone had wireless charging, so I used a Qi power bank to avoid having to bring a cable with me, but I can't do that anymore.)
Bump.

Interesting product, shame it doesn't have a built in cable though
Have a look at eg. the iVoler 10000mAh Power Bank. This one doesn´t have a built in USB Type C cable but it offers a small cable which fits in every pocket. I guess that this is still better than nothing?

I'm trying to avoid the cable being separate from the charger in my pocket.
there isn't one yet
I had a 3,000 mah version of this that they don't seem to sell anymore for long nights out with my S6 Edge. I think OP is looking for something like this, so am I, since Amazon doesn't have a version with a USB C connector.

Yes, a Type-C version of that is exactly what I'm looking for. At this point, I'd even be happy with a MicroUSB one that had a slot to keep a MicroUSB-to-TypeC adapter in (like how some now have slots for MicroUSB-to-Lightning adapters).

Prior to owning that powerbank, I had this, which I later gave away to a friend with an iPhone. I'm wondering now if it's possible to just buy the USB C adapter and bin the lightning one that comes with it. Worth a try perhaps?

I thought about that too, but I'm worried that a type-C adapter won't fit in the Lightning slot since it's bigger.
Still no powerbank with built in type C cable?
I bought on aliexpress, Aukey 16000mah with Quick Charge 2.0 and USB-C.
Sorry my bad English
@DioDk
I think you misunderstand. This thread is not about finding a powerbank that have USB C port on it. It's about finding a powerbank that have a USB C cable permanently attached to it. Something like this, but USB Type-C:

I purchased Aukey power bank from amazon several months ago.. the specs are the following: 30000 Mah, 2 usb type A ( one of them supports qc 3.0) and usb type c slot, microusb port is for charging purposes. I'm very satisfied with the product and I recommend u to take a look at it.

Nexus 6p chargers/cables

I've been searching around for additional cables for the 6p given that they have changed from the micro USB. I was planning on using my existing wall jacks with USB A ends. I've looked at the cables Benson has reviewed on Google+.
It seems like iOrange has gotten pretty good reviews from him. Tbh, I'm not familiar with the technical aspects I'm just a user.........
Do most just go with a cable that he has recommended as good, or is there generally an accepted make/model that most are using ?
Thanks
I use USB a-c cables in my van with an old charger, I got a belkin cable that works very well, however you won't get fast charging through one of these cables. I'd recommend buying a new USB c charger that comes with a cable provided.
I bought an Orzly one from Amaazon which is great and fast charges the device. I am using it with the Choetech wall charger and it works perfectly fine. Here is the link for the cable:

I'm actually thinking about getting another one for my car or just for spares

Thanks for the info. I don't mind not having the quick charge as I don't let my battery typically get below 50%, just making sure the cord is compatible as it appears from the Benson post that a lot are not. Thanks for the heads up though :highfive:

Any recommendations on the best car charger?

Hey all, just acquired my new Pixel XL. It's my first USB-c device so need to get some new cables... I was looking at USB-c car chargers on Amazon but not seeing any rave reviews on much. Do you all have any recommendations? Is there a certain standard of charger that is best for the Pixel (I.e. quick charge 2.0 or 3.0 etc)?
Thanks everyone for your input

Shout out to @Nathan-K and Benson. I've spent hours reading their G+ pages and Amazon reviews and I'm blown away by the work they're doing trying to hold manufacturers accountable and keep consumers safe.
Tl;dr - most are junk currently, and some are even dangerous. 1 specific Verizon version for usb-c pd (TYPECPDVPC ONLY!) is the most acceptable one.
Sent from my Pixel XL
Check out this spreadsheet it has chargers on it and one is type car. There are no perfect PD chargers at the moment (18W) AUKEYCC-Y7 and Verizon 27w TYPECPDVPC are the least bad. It is probably best to take the 3W hit at the moment and go for a 15W non PD car charger like the Belkin 15w F7U005bt04-BLK or Nomad B015NN0OKO. Personally I have gone for the AUKEYCC-Y7 PD charger as although not perfect it is at least cheap.
Bear in mind that some chargers come with a fixed USB-C charging cable. Ones that are cable less will need a decent cable as well. Decent ones cost as much as the chargers. So given the current price I recommend going for the Belkin 15W charger with built in cable

So there's no issue using an old micro USB charging cable? I planned on using my old ones and I purchased a 2 pack of USB-C to Micro USB adapters from Amazon. Can't seem to get clarification about the micro USB chargers..
I have no clue with micro > C adapters. The OEM A>C cable works great and make sure any 3rd party A > C cables should have the required 56kΩ resistor.
I am using a few of these from Anker on an old .5a Moto charger, older Anker car charger and an extra thrown in my work bag.

Of course there is an issue, you need to use either use a micro to c adapter with a 56k ohm pull-up resistor in it or a an approved a to c cable that also has a 56k ohm pull-up resistor.
EDIT: make sure you bookmark that google spreadsheet and check it for up to date~ info.

I got the v3 CCTA from tronsmart and returned it, the pixel sees it as a device when you unplug and plug it into 12v with car turned off/not powering socket..
The 27w Belkin is now considered bad after further testing has shown it to allow the pixel to backfeed power.
Oh, all Belkins are now in the bad -2 recommendation..

A Micro to usb type c adapter didnt come with the phone. You can use the USB A to C cable that came with the phone with legacy chargers.
Has anyone plugged their pixel into an "old" charger and actually had an issue? I see lots of people going crazy about chargers and also see lots of people that use any old charger they have with a cheap adapter and they have no issue.

I use my old charger with the oem a to c cable and my old a to micro cable with a micro to c adapter that has the 56k ohm resistor just fine, it's just slower than max, but no big deal. hardly ever have to use it, but have it just in case.
I have been using an old Anker pre QC charger and it has been working fine.
I haven't tried the QC3 charger in my wife's car yet.
For now the A>C cables with the 56 ohm resistor is the safe way to go.

I use this one I bought off Amazon. Been using it for a while. Never had any problems with it. Rapidly charges my pixel and you can charge 2 items at the same time. Check it out for yourself.
Belkin
The Belkin 15 watt used to be recommended as it was the charger for the 6p. I have used it with the 6p and now the Pixel. Not sure why it went from 2 to -1. Obviously it does not do PD with the Pixel, but I cannot see it doing harm. Same is true for the Google 6p wall charger. I sue that with the Pixel also. Any thoughts?

I would guess the change is for charging as noted. There are some further comments about a lack of IR drop compensation circuitry in the Google+ information below. I view the list as simply somewhat subjective opinions from an engineer, and like you said, I couldn't find comments in Google+ to suggest the Belkin you're talking about might pose a threat to a phone. My previous Razr M would tend to lose power when charging and using navigation, so I may just keep the Belkin PD model and see what happens with a replacement, in spite of the current -2 in the list.

I don't see anything anywhere in either products' listings that would suggest that those are actually QC4 chargers, however, as Qualcomm's specifications indicate, QC4 does support USB Power Delivery, which is what everyone should be using anyway.

Yes you are probably right. I would wait for a Qualcomm certified charger anyway. Just saw someone post about the first one linked and they seemed to know it was 4.0. No reviews or comments anyhow, I would never purchase something with no reviews lol.
As for Anker, I've had issues with their cables and HTC phones. They seem to work for a little while then they stop. They also wear out quickly to where the micro usb connection becomes loose and falls out easily. Seems it's hard to find a good cable.
I need replacement micro USB cables for my M8 and M9 and can't even order one from HTC. The "HTC OEM cables on Amazon are fakes. They look exactly the same except they do not have the HTC tag.

The clips on the micro USB wore out quickly and would not snap in like they are supposed to so they fall out. I still use micro USB for non-phone devices. But they guaranteed the cables would work with HTC devices since HTC devices are very finnicky with charging cables, if it's not HTC oem, most of the time they do not work right. My first pack I ordered from them, a pack with different sizes wouldn't work, they said that was the older style so they were great and offered me a upgraded version for free, like six different cables and they were the ones that worked but didn't last long. Anyway, the USB-C should be much better since they attach much differently.
It is hard finding a good micro USB cable.

Thanks for this find! I also bought these 2 chargers and am waiting on them to be delivered. As for the cable - I think this cable should work - https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powerline-ii-3ft-usb-c-to-usb-c-3-1/A8485011
What do you think?
I don't know, I bought these two adapter:

I used it to test recharging in the car, and it seemed to me very fast

I am not a fan of using adapters but thanks for sharing the parts you are using. I emailed Anker support and requested that they recommend the best cables to use with the Hama QC 4.0 chargers and will post an update once I hear back from them.
Cheers
