[Completed] [Q] Galaxy Nexus toro overclocking cant go over 1.0+ - XDA Assist

I have a galaxy nexus toro I first used setcpu a week ago my cpu was set on 1222Mhz
I overclocked it to at least 1724Mhz everything was going smoothly until my phone shut off with no sign.
Now I have to boot my phone with a charger Because it cant without it.
So when it boot I took it off my charger My cpu was at 1222Mhz and it cuts off again.
So I tested it I cant go over 1000Mhz without a charger.
I keep the cpu on 537Mhz to keep it on without the charger needed.
So is this fixable or is my battery not giving enough voltage to my phone (do I have to buy a new battery)?

Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think the best place for your question is your device q&a section:

[Q] Kernel with fast battery charging (froyo) for Galaxy 3 any tweaks or mods?

Hi,
is it possible to tweak froyo kernel for galaxy 3 for faster battery charging time from 3 hours to 1,5 hour or 2 hours? Does it any script for it or mod/tweak?
1.post it in galaxy 3 general for better answers(hopefully you won't need em)
2. No this can't be done, its a hardware limitation and won't go nice with the battery
You can try using a bigger battery and a non-overclocked kernel

[Q] Underclocking for battery life

So to start off I'm kind of a noob at this... So bare with me but I recently just got the 32gb white(not like it matters) S3 SCH-I535 by Verizon of course and I just rooted it yesterday. The ROM I have on here is basic like just the ROM its self but the ROM I'm running is SuperChargedWizBuild3 and my question is what do I have to do to under clock this to get a good battery life and still some performance. I have ktwerker and played with it myself..... Made the phone run hella slow so I decided to ask instead of putting it in a loop.
In ktweaker just set the Max CPU speed as low as you want. The lower you set it the leas voltage it will use and the slower the phone will run. You have to find the best balance for you.
Also you can undervolt each step to save power as well. When the phone starts to hiccup you undervolted too much.
Hope this helps.

So i applied thermal pad on the s2 plus's CPUs...

Yes.
Does it work?
Well, i decided to put thermal pad on the s2 plus where the cpu's are (on the motherboard). And that's what i did weeks ago.
The results : The phone has the heat reduced
Any improvement in performance?
The Samsung Galaxy S II Plus was my very first smartphone and the first one I ever rooted and flashed ROMs on. It's good to see people still tinkering with this amazing device.

A scale from 0 to 100%, i would say 15%.
It only cools the processor => better performance and battery.
If you want to apply it too, at the back on the motherboard there are 2 big chips. From the thermal pad, cut the EXACT (or closer) size as the chip. After apply, give it some time until it makes the magic

Prevent full CPU usage when charging?

When I plug my phone to solar cell power saving mode automaticly turns off and the speed of discharge increases severalfold.
How to prevent cpu always on when phone charging?

I don't have this variant but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device and variants.

Redmi Note 4 MTK Nikel Hot and auto reboot after Change thermal to 120deg C

Hello xda. i need your help.
as you all know that the redmi note 4 mediatek version is lagging alot when you play even only mid game processing aplication. when i play games for like 5 minute it starts lagging allready. what i know is that when this device temperature gets 45 degrees, the CPU hotplug will lower the CPU frequency or turn off the other CPU cluster to prevent the device gets overheating and drains too much battery. but this will cost out our gaming performance and cause lagging issue.
so i've modified the thermal policy to bypass the CPU hotpug to get maximum performance out of this device but it only last for 10 minutes and it auto reboots when it gets overheating, but i dont care if this device gets hot because it is common for a mediatek chipset
You can do it by editing the build.prop and change the line ro.build.type=user to ro.build.type=eng and then go to mtk engineering mode and change the thermal policy setting.
for me this device is like not capable of doing anything more than being just like an old device except for whatsapp and other social media. it's like the device has a powerfull processor but only for decoration.
The only problem now is that the device will auto reboot everytime it gets overheating and needs to cool down in order to be used again. and my only question is how to prevent the the device auto reboot when we use the 120deg C thermal ?.
