Hello,
I flashed the twrp and installed SU(att htc m9), initially i got Super SU, but after a pushing the new camera OTA update, i am unable to get the root on the device.
It gives me an error saying "No SU binaries present, SuperSU cannot install them..
What is the way that i can regain root on the device?
No S-OFF made on the device

Hey guys,
I was able to flash a new kernel (ICUP) onto my phone, but everytime I open NSTools, it says the settings are discarded. I believe I have lost root access to the phone (nexus s on t-mobile). Rom Toolbox and Battery Calibration says I don't have root access.
I've flashed recovery (can't rename it cause i don't have root access), the bootloader is unlocked, any idea how to get root access back? I'm at my wits end. Superuser is on my phone also but I don't think it's doing anything? superuser is v3.0.7 (41)
Thanks.
super n00b.
figured it out.

superuser binary was out of date.
installing the root access on my 12B version of Verizon's latest firmware update failed to install Superuser. apk. I was able to install available code which I did line by line...but when I arrived to Superuser.apk this is the message I [INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS]. Please let me know if there are any alternatives to being able to get a 'complete' root. Although ROOTED shows up in status tab TWRP.
Hello all, I am facing the "super su binary need to be updated" wherever I try to update it it simply does not. I have the pro version also but nothing happens. The next time phone is restarted it askes me the same. Anyway to update or install another updated version? I also un installed the current version and installed the last one from the Market but nothing.
Thank you in advance!
if you have bootloader unlocked, you can flash a custom recovery, then manually flash the latest supersu.
I have root access but not the bootloader unlocked

Click to collapse
When I've got this message, I answer "Continue", then "Normal" and Super SU will update...
Possible Solution
How did you root? If you rooted using KingUser, it's interfering with SuperSU.
I do "normal" but it is not possible than it ask me for reboot. And it rebootes but nothing changes.
I have rooted looking at the post "how rooted without bootloader unlock"
I cant flash the update cos I don't have a costum recovery.
Phone: OnePlus 2
OxygenOS: 2.1.2
I had rooted and decided to update from OxygenOS 2.1.1 to 2.1.2. I flashed the .zips OTA. When the phone rebooted completely, I check for root, but I had not root installed. I went to SuperSU and there it said that "SU binary is not installed and SuperSU can't install it." it also said that I would have to manually re-root the device. I tried to manually install the UPDATE-....zip file of SuperSU through TWRP but the problem was not solved. What to do!!!???
Please help me on this. I have checked multiple threads but not a single have helped to solve my problem. Help please!!!
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
If your ROM is a lollipop ROM, have you looked in developer settings and made sure that root access is set to apps and adb?

Hey, I'm curious how I received the Nougat update if I have TWRP and Super SU root. I've never been able to receive a phone update if I had this setup. Doesn't super su modify the system? If I try installing the update will I brick the phone?
Edit - Sorry, I meant to post in the questions thread. You guys can lock, move our delete this post.
I accidentally updated my phone while having TWRP and SuperSU installed. It does not brick your device, but you lose root access. I'm currently trying to re-root my phone but I'm having some issues. My phone seems to have remained unlocked.
I did the same thing...got worried at first, but everything looked okay so I went ahead and flashed Magisk...seems fine.
Hello!
I have B342 and want to update to B360. My phone is rooted and TWRP works.
When i use the normal way to update, the phone boots to TWRP and an Error message comes during update
How do I do it?
Thanks!
