LG G2 vs 12B problem installing.... - General Questions and Answers

installing the root access on my 12B version of Verizon's latest firmware update failed to install Superuser. apk. I was able to install available code which I did line by line...but when I arrived to Superuser.apk this is the message I [INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS]. Please let me know if there are any alternatives to being able to get a 'complete' root. Although ROOTED shows up in status tab TWRP.

What is the way that i can regain root on the device?

I see you got your answer. Thread closed.

[Q] Help. not sure what I am doing wrong.

So I have the wife's new d850, which we will be suing over straight talk.
- not able to get the OTA updates
- at KK and she wants to be on LP
So far, I've done:
- rooted with towelroot
- loaded TWRP from the playstore
- loaded Superuser from the playstore
- loaded Busybox from the playstore
- loaded Flashify from the playstore
I have tried to flash these 2 roms will no luck.
[ROM][Stock][Rooted] D850 20f Stock ROM Debloated

http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-lg-d850-20f-lollipop-5-0-1-extras-t3052041
So using Flashify or TWRP I have been unable to see the ROMs to flash and I have been getting the unable to mount external sd card.
I've gone through the forum several times trying to figure out what I am doing incorrectly and I haven't been able to figure it out.
All I wanted to do was debloat the phone and get it on LP.
thanks for any assistance.
Are you on 10d? Are you sure that root was successful? Does SU install properly? If so then are you able to grant Flashify SU permission? If so then you want TWRP from this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-2-8-3-0-t2981108, by 777Jon. Follow his instructions for flashing TWRP through Flashify.
If root was not successful try Stumproot also here on XDA.
Are you on 10d? Yes
Are you sure that root was successful? It says I am rooted, so I assume yes.
Does SU install properly? Yes
If so then are you able to grant Flashify SU permission? Yes.
That TWRP did it. The flash worked and its on LP. The only thing is that the debloat didn't seem to work and I still have the carrier apps, which is easy to correct.
Thanks for the help. It's much appreciated.
Glad to help. Titanium backup will get rid of most of those carrier apps. Some you can simply freeze... Good luck.

No su binary, can't root

Hi everyboby,
I'm new to the world of rooting and beyond. Just bought a LG G2 F320K (Korean version) a few weeks ago. The phone came with Android 4.2.2 Kitkat. Upgraded to 5.0.1 through OTA (the present software version is F320K30j, Android 5.0.1). I tried to root the phone with one-click method (LG_One_Click_Root_v1.3.msi). The phone was reportedly rooted but SuperSU did not show up automatically. I downloaded the SuperSU from the PlayStore only to find out that there was no su binary installed and SuperSU couldn't install it. I've tried to find out how to install the binary and found out that the only way to do it is to flash a zip file which in turn needs a custom recovery, which in turn needs the phone to be rooted (Isn't that funny!) I've tried manually root the phone by using the LG Root tool with no success (the phone refused to carry out the last command) . Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thank you.

Help with SuperSU

Hello there, today I have a concern on my app SuperSu I had my phone rooted with king root, but before supersu said "Binaries need to be updated" But then I deleted king root then made SuperSu my primary root. Now it says "SuperSu has no binaries installed and SuperSU can't install them." I tried flashing updates, but then they didn't work they would always say "Failed" I need to know how to fix this problem I've tried many ways so if you guys could help me fix this problem i would be more then happy!
I HAVE A SAMSUNG GALAXY S5
Model Number: SM-G900T
Android Version 4.4.2

Can't update binary for SuperSU

So I'm using a USA T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7, SM-G930T U4BQB1, Android 7.0. I just rooted the device but I can't get SuperSU to give me root permission. It says it needs to update the binary. While trying to update the binary it will say Samsung KNOX has been detected and ask if I want to disable it. Whether I hit yes or no it will say installation has failed. I can use adb to disable KNOX but I will still get "Installation Failed" when I try to update the binary
I can't use a custom recovery to flash the zip because the USA galaxy S7 bootloader is locked. Because of all of this I can't give any apps root permission. Any help would be appeciated
