[Q] Can I delete my HWThmes' cache - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I downloaded a big themes file and excitedly copied all of it on my phone. I'm now in the process of deleting most of the themes that I don't like. I used Diskusage app and I saw that the HWThemes cache is over 1Gb. Can I safely delete the things inside this folder to free up space?

make it hidden
How do you make it hidden?
Using XDA Premium (GT-N7000)
make the folder's name begin with (.) like .data .private
Ok so sorry to jump in on this thread, so the program using the folder will still find it?. And how would you unhide it again from the phone?
Using XDA Premium (GT-N7000)
No, if you put . , then the program would make it again...
Some folders you just cannot delete...only way would be to uninstall the app, and then delete...
Also, folders like DCIM, .android_secure, cannot be deleted...
Don't worry, these folders hardly take up space...
Typed on a small touchscreen
So does not really hide a folder unless its not being used. Not that usefull really.

How can I erase stuff on my external SD card

Trying to free up space?
use a app like file explorer.
If you're not using a computer to do so, use a file explorer such as Astro or ES File Explorer, both are free and available in the Play Store. Just throwing this in here, if you plan on deleting CWM backups just boot into Recovery and delete them that way.

You could even use the "My Files" app thats already on your phone

if you're deleting nandroid backups, then do it from recovery. It'd delete appropriate data from your blob folder.

I would recommend going to the recovery and wiping it from there or using a file explorer.:silly:

Its the files you have deleted when using your phone. Just delete it, or all files in it.

They seems to be just renamed and moved after a system boot.
if you cant open it, they are probably binary files. if they where photos/music you could just open them I think.
I tried this method and it did not work. After flashing cm10.2 I have a problem with my internal memory space, I have about 220 mb free space but I don't have many apps on my phone, just a few ones and they are small. So I am searching for solutions and I deleted lost.dir that situated on my external SD. That was the only lost.dir that I found. Any suggestions?

That's the first place I looked bro. There's no backup folder in clockworkmod, there's just a recovery_version file, that's 35 bytes small..
Connect your device with pc in usb storage mod ... then make the CWMR folder available (make it free) by using attrib command(CMD)...
