Hey guys,

thanks a lot.

I have most flagship phones and I must say I was a bit worried about the camera but I decided to buy and what a great camera it is. The rear camera is excellent and front camera does the job saying most phones have a 2mp front cam but ham7 has 5mp.

How to install Front cam

Guys I use HTC Explorer/pico... I wanted to know that if a front cam can be installed in our device as it certainly lacks one...and if it can't be installed then can the back camera be used for video calling??
-
From a hardware point of view it would be pretty easy to install a front facing camera. All you would then have to do would be develop some housing (casing) for it. But you would need to create a rom with or add to your current rom, coding that allows the use of the camera. Like a driver.
In short, it's a mission creating a front facing camera. I would suggest updating.
Same issue with my xperia x8 though. I might get a samsung nexus or s3. Also about the back camera thing, you could easily use this for video calling but it would be very inconvenient to video call someone if you could not see them.
Sorry if this is not what you wanted. Please thank me if you appreciate it.
Wow thats in depthv
Yes it would be quite hard installing a front facing camera.
better buy a phone with front cam rather than fixing it on the explorer:angel:

Front facing camera mod ?

Are their any mods/hack to increase the front facing camera quality ? Its so Fuzzy!
I've owned $80 phones with a better FFC. Nexus 4 was allot better also.

No.
When someone buys a phone, he/she MUST have a look at the phone specs , otherwise this happens, people start whining about the FFC ,rear camera ,speed ,OS etc.
Did you expect a1.3MP camera act like 8MP?
Not being rude ,but that's what it is ,1.3MP it can't be any better .I'd recommend you to use those 80$ phones if you really need the FFC , as you may know Nexus 5 has 1.3MP
Megapixels ≠ image quality.

[Q] Best app for tablet with fixed focus camera

Hi all,
So I recently got a Lenovo A5500-f tablet and as much as I'm really enjoying this new gadget I was disappointed to find AFTER purchasing it that both the front and rear camera have a fixed focus lens, meaning the camera is horrible unless you're taking photos outside in distance; kinda like point and shoot. This is also a shame because a lot of apps now (mainly the ones for entertainment purposes) use the camera feature and I feel like I'm missing out on using them now. The camera quality is also extremely horrible for anything up close, or unless you have VERY strong lighting. When I purchased the tablet I only saw the 5MP sticker and thought it was decent for a tablet, not realizing that the camera cant even focus.
My question is are there ANY apps at all that make this camera atleast half useable... Paid or free I don't mind. I kinda just need something which will atleast let me take a photo.. My old Iphone 4 takes better quality images.
Thanks!!
bumpp, anyone??

Doogee mix 2 - camera

Hi guys,
I appreciate that this is a specific Mix 2 question but couldnt see a mix 2 section yet to post in.
I recieved my Mix 2 about a week ago and my first impressions are that its a great phone - it does everything I want....... apart from when it comes to the cameras.
Firstly, the quality is pretty bad and a large step back from the oppo find 7 I am switching from. Both front and rear facing cameras fail to properly focus and always seem to take photos like there is a dirty lens, a sort of soft look, most obvious when photographing text, which just isnt sharp at all.
Secondly, it appears that the second rear facing camera doesn't do anything - is it even real?!? I believe its there for the optical zoom option, but even when you zoom in with the camera app, you can still cover this camera and it has no effect on the photo, therefore it is not used.
Any ideas on how to improve the picture quality? I presume its going to be a case of waiting for Doogee or some developers to take this device on to update the firmware......
Thanks

A new update of the firmware is being "cooked" to solve this problem.
I know that will be released soon.

It would be great... Camera performance is the main issue of the device. On the other hand, all the other features are quite well
Sorry to put this query here. Even i haven't got any place to right it down. I also have a same problem. Rear camera not working. Bought this phone specially for camera specifications. When will be the updates release to make the second rear camera work. Even 8 MP Nokia camera takes better picture than this 16 MP. And there are many bugs. Many apps crashes. And on YouTube I have seen many videos which shows many camera app showing 4k video recording option, but I think that was after update and I still haven't received it.i show that video 1 month back.
New update from company has improved the camera lil bit. But still not a usable one. And it keeps on hunting for focus in video.
From morning all Google apps are getting closed by itself. Please help to solve the issue in mix 2
no updates have improved the camera on this phone for me so far. Taking photos of static images is ok - maybe 6/10, if I use whatsapp to take a photo of anything it always appears very soft and a little blurred. If I try to take a photo of my cat.....no chance, the shutter is so slow, unless the object doesnt move at all you cant capture the image. I do like the phone and previously havent been bothered about camera specs, but that was when all my previous phones could take decent pictures. This might be the reason I get rid of this phone in a few months, it turns out a decent camera is a must for me - I was spoilt with my Oppo find 7, which had an incredible camera

+1 about camera perfrmance, i bought it to do a review and the camera is the worst thing in an otherwise decent phone. I did a comparison with the honor 7x, which has a much better camera at the same price.
Hdr+
Hallo guys, there isn't a procedure to flash Google camera hdr+ on this smartphone o mediatek CPU. I founded everything for Qualcomm but nothing to mediatek.

Can the camera improve through updates?

Hey guys,
I'm still on the fence of where or not to buy the Nex S. Generally speaking I'm convinced by it but even though I don't use the camera that much, it is still quite important.
Looking at reviews and test pictures it's worse than my OnePlus 3's which just seems absurd to me.
So is there any chance the camera could improve with future software updates or is the camera sensor itself just terrible?
And do we have to rely on Vivo for updates or could a 3rd party app improve the camera?
Thanks guys!
When Vivo puts out updates on this phone it always gives brief notes on what's being updated. I've seen camera updates in their notes with three of the past updates they've put out. I'm not a big user of cameras so I can't give you anything more than that. No pictures to compare the initial camera software release with the latest update. We'll have to wait for a reviewer on youtube to compare initial camera software with the latest release.
Just use the g cam with HDR+ version
Forget the stock app with any phones except
P20 pro stock app it is phenomenal

Do you have the phone? Would you be able to post some comparison shots? I tried googling for some but haven't been able to find any.
I mean software can only do so much, right? So if the Camera is bad in terms of hardware, there isn't really much we can do about it, right? I unfortunately don't know a whole lot about cameras.

Pretty sure it's way better than Oneplus 3. Its more than sufficient in its performance & if u know bit of quick tweaking on snapseed, you can pretty much get top notch photo with it in same comparison to note 8. It's better than Oneplus 6 btw. I am saying from my own 1st hand experience ofcourse.

Hi, i do have the Vivo nex s.
My previous phone was the oneplus3.
The camera of the OP3 is way better.
Im thinking that's even my OPO had a better camera.
The phone is lacking focus, the AI messes up everthing andere even in 'profesional' mode the pictures are not better.
I like how the phone looks and feels, if you have a lot of patience setting up (if you have the Chinese version like i do) then this might be the phone for you.
If you want a phone with a good camera.. dont buy this phone
Wat u think?
