I have a galaxy s4 with verizon but I switched it to straight talk but it won't let me update my phone to the lolipop update how do I fix this

Is there a way to network/Sim unlock the Samsung galaxy tab 4 8.0 on 4.4.2 kit Kat at&t. I was just curious because at&t claims to have never had my device in their records so I can't request and unlock code and I need to use it on on other carrier. Also I AM ROOTED

So if I found a rom for a 530nu could I install it or would I brick my device? It easier to find one for a 530nu than it is for a 537a

Please note, to post in any of the above threads, you will need an XDA account.
To try to answer your question, I may need clarification. By the sounds of it, since the device is (probably) stuck back on ICS, Samsung didn't give this device enough attention to warrant an OS upgrade. And since it was released around August 2012 (and the benchmark for support is 18 months), it would mean official support would only bring the device up to one of the newer JellyBean OS'es (like 4.3.1).
