Which ROMs can be used for the Samsung Spica?

Hi all,
Sorry 'bout the n00b question - but are there any of the custom ROM's out there which can be used for the Samsung Spica? I think my Spica is so darn slow, so really want to spice it up a little.
Just come off a SE Xperia X1, and used to flash it every other day - which I kinda miss on my Android device.
So - how is my outlook here?

Not going to get much help here. After all this is a forum for HTC devices. AFAIK there is'nt a lot of custom ROm development for the spica apart from Leshak's ROM. you could google it.

Try samdroid.net. There are active forums for samsung spica rooting, kernals and custom roms alongwith lots of tweaks and mods/

Questions-
1. Which of these is the PDA or CSC etc
2. what should i do..i have jc2....I cant use spica jc3.ops
3.all i want is to root my phone and use app2sd since my phone memory is always full.
I cant use LESHAKS........... lk2 mod without being on lk mod i guess...also this firmware is what i got here in dubai. please help me root my phone...I am so confused with this firmware. only after i flash a good european firmware and root it can i use custom roms right?

AFAIK, the only stable and popular ROM, is the one from Leshack.... lets hope cyanogen releases something... i think both can take profit of each other's work and release something wonderful (froyo + multitouch + overclock + 3D driver.... etc...)

It is time for some Overclock.

Guys, i think is time to someone of you or xda to start porting a Rom for Overclocking this phone. There are already enough custom rom's.

How is possible to have galaxy mini and not galaxy fit? they have same specks, only different is thous touch keys and camera...

not so simple as making custom rom........

Galaxy mini can overclock coz mr.tj_style as developer.
So galaxy fit must have a developer to do it.

[REQ] How to make custom compatibility pack for CyanogenMod 10?

Hello!
I'm dealing with some branded tab KIANO BLADE CITY 2.
It has Alwinner A10 soc with 512 mb RAM and Mali-400 video.
So would like to install Unofficial CyanogenMod 10 from this thread, but I came to conclusions that I need my own compatibility pack first.
At this point I have fully working ROM with Android 4.0.3 for this tab

As I have no previous experience with Linux or android I request some help with creating custom compatibility pack out of original rom.

Compatibility pack is the one created for each device in that CyanogenMod 10 thread. It contains kernel modifications for each device. For ex. without it you can get not working wifi or touchscreen and so on.
I can't post myself anything in developer section because of newbie restrictions. If you don't mind, you can post it there for me.

Sorry, but no. I have too few reputation to post my request in the appropriate thread so I stuck...
But you have 8 posts already, so +2 and you good to make a request yourself.
I hope that guys in the original thread will be able to help, especially as we have working ROM, which can be used for making compatibility pack, as I presume.

Hi! I have good news!
I was able to "port" original drivers from my stock rom for CarbonRom 4.2.2 and for CM10!
Both roms have full support for touch, gsensor, camera and wifi (CarbonRom has wifi drop issue but it is common problem for all devices).
CM10 is slick and fast. About ~1 min boot time (faster than stock one), a lot of drivers for usb devices.
I have goodix_touch_811 touch driver and dmard06 gsensor if you are interested.

sorry but you cant update to jelly bean or ics .
As i dont think that there is any cynogen mod for the device.
But you can install other custom roms and you can get 4.1/2/3 in settings leaving os to be gb.

Yep U can get jb looks
Yes you can get the jb UI but the 4.0+ apps won't work.You can get most of the features of jellybean.
A simple example is Ace 5830i which don't have jb but you can get UI using custom roms.

Sorry but there is no such update.. you can try flashing custom roms if available .

You have to search the internet for a Custom rom or here on XDA.
I recommend XDA since almost every ROM here is stable enough to run on the specific device

I don't really understand the question?
What do you mean with done? Like that they stop with making or that the CM can be flashed?

You can check for custom roms on Google and here on XDA ........
if you find one then its nice bt if you can't find one it may be due to lack of developer support....
if your device becomes popular it will surely have many custom roms.......
the best way is to ask any developer to make custom roms ......
and if you want Cyanogen mod better ask at cyanogenmod.org forums.........

there is no cyanogenmod device specific at the website...I've checked earlier..can the galaxy note rom be flashed in this??

Nope....
and never try to flash a ROM meant for other phones as it will Brick you device.....

Custom kernels

Maybe someone can help me find a custom kernel I need one that has sweep to sleep as well other good tweaks but mainly I need it so I can install busybox as well get rid of some of this Verizon bloatware thanks in advance for your help P.S. I would like to stay on sense running 4.4.4
