Custom ROM

I want to make custom ROM for our Ace Plus, but I need help, I dont understand all pretty much.
need someone who know to make deodex ROM.
my plan to do is
make latest official stock (april 2014) deodexed
put init.d support
theme like Android L
tweaks in build.prop and init.d tweaks for performance and battery
delete unnecessary applications and add new and updated
and when do all, odex only system apps for better battery backup
who want to join me, I dont understand all very much, who want to help is welcome

I tried the pure galaxy 1.0 ROM. It was good for a few days. But then it is very slow, and very often freezes. I use facebook applications and vibera lot.
Which is the fastest ROM? And use the least amount of memory?

use greenify app to stop the automatic start of unneeded apps

this will provide much more ram for you and will make you device smother and highly performace

its slow because it has kernel 2.6 i tried to add kernel 3.0 to it but got bootloop

ROM's and kernel suggestions

Hey guys, so I got a brand new HTC M8 and Ive been reading all of the rooting guides and such and had a few questions. After doing a search I'm not really seeing many suggestions. So after I S-off, install custom recovery, do a backup of my stock rom, and then put a permanent root on my phone, what ROM do you guys recommend to be the best? Someone out there that has tried most of them? I love to tweak so thought Id get your guys opinions. Also, do most of you use keep the stock kernel or use a custom kernel, if so which kernel do you like? Thanks guys!!!!

I've tried Almost all. For my daily driver I use cleanrom 1.3 on stock kernel atm. I don't mess much with kernels but have just browsed thru a few threads and found some kernels that do not have "official" release. Look into them as they have gotten nice reviews. Sky fall is nice for stock as well. D.h. and his GPE ROM is pretty on point with that straight google experience. I have not tried sinless yet but that has good rants for being a GPE ROM. As far as aosp they are hit or miss for my device. Play with those for your own experience. I prefer the stock sense and great battery life so since I have been following @scrosler from my past few phones and know what to expect I am partial to his creations. Good luck. Hi guys. im new in doing tweaks or customizing your android phone. my question is where can i download custom kernel which supports swapping and how to know if that kernel is compatible in my device. my phone is samsung galaxy V. i hope someone help me thanks

to enable swapping just download ram expander by roehsoft, the swap file is up to 4gb! and can switch swappiness slider, to know if the kernel is working for you just search it here and look at the replies

Roms? Kernel?

Has development for this phone ended? I've been looking for a good alternative ROM for my 700T1 and a good optimised battery saving kernel would be nice? Would anyone who has gotten other ROMS to work on the T1 or T please share it and the steps taken to flash please. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, development has pretty much stopped. You will not get much better than tweaking the stock rom. Since nougat does not support this chipset you won't see that either.
from the interwebs using pen and paper.....

Tweaking the stock is fine with me as I am a fan of Touchwiz, can someone help me do this? The only problems I have with this phone is the poor RAM management of stock (lagginess) and no screen mirroring.

Following guides I've debloated & deodexed. I also have xposed installed. What else should I do?

If you've completely deodexed the stock rom, try porting a ROM with the same chipset like the A5/A7 etc. Good job too bro.

Lg g3 kernel development help please

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me to build a custom kernel for my lg g3 D855 I have done android development before so its nothing too new for me and I've had quite success in the past but these not many forums about this topic and especially up to date the trouble is either the code to install required packages in Linux don't work or I get random errors when building the kernel like a error 2 or 1 which there is nothing online about this error
So again I would really appreciate it if someone could lead me in the right direction or just some help anything is better then nothing
If you want to know what I'm trying to do then I want to build a custom kernel to overclock the phone but also help in performance because on full stock it gets too hot and constantly lags so I have install a custom ROM on the phone, the viper os ROM and hope to make a kernel to have a full custom phone and I can't use kernel apps like kernel adiutor because the setting don't save and there's no overclocking present after the reboot so that's why I want to make a kernel plus I would enjoy making one instead of getting one offline and most of the custom kernels for the D855 either bootloop the phone or puts it in download mode so there are many reasons why I want to make one and source.android.com seems awkward to follow along with but I have been doing dev stuff for a few months now so I know a fair bit about it just not as much as I would hope
