I made flashable zip of Floating message for GT-I9505

tested on Albe95 LolliROM Official 3.1

Instructions for installation:
1. first, make a backup, just in case
2. save this file on sd card
3. reboot to recovery
4. find a file on the SD card and flash
5. reboot
6. in settings/Floating messages enable

Is it the same as aurora one?

+1 but i want to decrease it for persian language it should be 70 characters (unicode)

Thank you very much mate for your work, it is very appreciated. The previous floating message threads were not very clear for our i9505 model phones, so i couldn't able to have that feature. But i am on Albe95 LolliROM v2 for the moment and i can confirm that it is working on it..

I am on 3.1. , I downloaded the zip file and flashed as instructed, but when I reboot my I9505 I do not have the floating messages option in settings, so I cannot proceed with instructions any further. Please help

Do you use S5 settings from Albe95 or default S4
I have not flashed s5 settings so I presume I am on s4 settings still . do I need to flash s5 settings

how to enable on albe lollirom 4.0?
Guys i flashed the zip on albe95 lollirom 4.0 and followed instruction. also flashed s5 settings. i already enabled the floating message at the noti. panel. but when im in settings/notification panel there is no floating message icon even if i reset. Any idea what i'd missed?

No sms in call-log done the correct way!
the setting that you select in the call-log will be saved and used all the time, the way it should be. samsung has never fixed that bug since the galaxy S1 !

After doing the above dont try to click and install or replace.. just remove or backup the stock contact and odex file and restart the mobile and thats it you will get the phone and contacts again..

Hey guys... just an VERY easy way to get the SMS removed from the call log : Enter the call log screen, press your "menu" button at the bottom left of your great S4, and choose what you wanna see.

only that the original samsung version DOES NOT save the setting. when you press the back button or reboot it will switch back to the default value.
that is why this MOD is here. this bug has been around since the galaxy S1

Just tried with back button, it stays on call log only even after changing to view messages but when you use the home buttin settings stay the same

Hello brave new world of the Galaxy Note 3!!!
In this thread I will try to provide as many modded system apps and other mods from the N9005 as possible.
So, here we go for starters:
1. Modded Stock Mms app with the following: Beautiful Custom Smileys, show sent time, no sms/mms conversion, increase contacts limit, enabled save/restore to SD card feature for SMS messages, unlocked various more features in the Messaging app's settings. There is a version which has all the above mods but the stock smileys instead of custom smileys.
2. No SMS in call log!!! (I cant stand having them in my call logs, it confuses me)
3. Call Button in Contacts, Secondary Symbols in Samsung Keyboard, Exit option in SBrowser:
NOTE: This one is a flashable.zip. Wipe cache and dalvik cache, flash and reboot

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (FOR MODS 1-3):
1. Make a nandroid backup!! (get into the habit- it's healthy)
2. Using Root Explorer or an analogous app go to system/app and rename the SecMms.apk and LogsProvider.apk to SecMms.bak and LogsProvider.bak. Then copy the downloaded .apk to system/app, change permissions to wr-r-r (644) and reboot That should do it
NOTES:
1. I STILL DONT OWN THE NOTE 3!! However, im pretty confident about the functionality of the above mods
The worst case scenario is that they dont work, and so you rename the .bak files back to .apk and you have the unmodded ones
2. The system apps are taken from my own prerooted, deodexed, .zipaligned version of the official N9005XXUBMI7 firmware So, im hoping for lots more to come

could you use another server then mega? I have a hard time downloading this on my phone. Ive tried both stock browser and dolphin. mobile & desktop mode. Couldnt download with internet explorer on pc either.
ps: chrome on my phone worked
pss: for no-sms file its asking me to enter decryption key before I can download it!

I havent either And I dont think i will be buying it soon... However, modding with the system apps has been much "friendlier" than with the S4 so far And I love it

Notice: You should be running on stock android to do this. This requires root and although it's not so risky but it is always better to have a backup. Also please do not blame me if you softbrick your device.. Do at your own risk!! It worked for me and it should work for anyone running stock rooted like I am.
Okay.. so, here's what you need:
(1) Rooted Galaxy core
(2) Sqlite editor app
Dts all!!
So here's what you need to do:
(1) Open sqlite and give root permission. It should show a list
(2) Scroll down to "Settings Storage" and open it
(3) Open "Settings.db"
(4) Next, tap "System"
(5) Scroll down until you find "notification_panel_active_app_list" NOT the notification_panel_default_active_app_list.Tap it. If it's not present (well... it was not present for me atleast)(Make sure to Check Properly),then tap the menu key and then tap new record. Set the name to "notification_panel_active_app_list" and under value type the following.
Code:
Wifi;Location;SilentMode;Bluetooth;MobileData;AutoRotate;WiFiHotspot;SmartStay;AirplaneMode;DormantMode;PowerSaving;DrivingMode;Sync
Note that the above letters should be CaSe sEnsItiVe and no spaces
(6) ReBoot
(7) Congratzz... U have successfully customized the notification panel..

(4) Next, tap "System"
(5) Scroll down until you find "notification_panel_active_app_list" NOT the notification_panel_default_active_app_list.Tap it. If it's not present (well... it was not present for me atleast)(Make sure to Check Properly),then tap the menu key and then tap new record. Set the name to "notification_panel_active_app_list" and under value type the following.

Well... adding flashlight toggle is not possible.
The moderators have been very good at providing us ROMs but it seems as if the T-Mobile Note Edge development is slowing down. I did some digging and found we are able to use the M11 ROM from Dr. Keton from the Note 4 Snapdragon (maybe others as well). Dr. Keton has put out a very nice ROM based off of the Note 7 and has the fully functional theme store provided.
T-Mobile Note Edge (May work for others)
*Must first be on full stock PE3 (Marshmallow) & recovery (I went with TWRP 3.0)
1) Wipe Data, Dalvik, Cache x3, then REBOOT RECOVERY!!
2) Flash M11 ROM (N910G MM)
3) Flash Emotion-TW-stable-MM-r26-RC1-SM-N915P_N7_test
4) Reboot (First boot will take 10-15mins)
5) Once booted, don't touch phone for 5 mins!
6) Apply Essential fix (will auto pop-up at setup screen & GRANT superuser request)
7) Go through phone setup (including registrar of fingerprint in Note4 Tools app)
8) Once your phone is setup Reboot to Recovery
9) Flash aurora_N7_datafix_N910T_alpha5 (Use this!)
10) Reboot system & Profit!

**If you have gallery issues, replace gallery apk with the one below. Set permissions 644 and reboot. (Thanks vjosephkumar)
*Essential Fix - This is very important tool and it will appear just after finishing setup wizard. It is highly recommend to apply this Fix when offer. In case you missed it then there is ROM tool available in drawer, open it and Apply Essential Fix.
I take no credit for this ROM, kernel or data fix. I'm simply spreading the love! Boom!
Fixes
1. Found you will need screen mirroring fix:
wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable
Then you must disable: android.app.wfdbroker (see screen shot)
2. Open phone dialer and click "More" then click "Settings" then turn off "Voice over LTE Preferred". This will fix call issues.

Camera works. You can swipe the edge to access people, apps, news, weather and other edge panels but it's not like the original Stock Rom. It's identical to the S7 Edge.
I cannot find Gear themes you are using. Could you please share the link.

Yes. The edge does auto hide. Exact copy of S7 Edge.

Even after registering my Fingerprint, lockscreen forces me to use the Backup method of unlocking. I am unable to use fingerprint unlock.
What should I do guys?

Does me the same way. Must use a 3rd party lock screen for fingerprint to work. Example on the main thread.
