Bootloader locked or unlocked?
I think locked.
You must downgrade to KK to root and then flash a pre-rooted Lollipop.
With an unlocked bootloader is more easy, but you will lose warranty.

Downgrade to KK firmware earlier than October 2014 then use "giefroot" rooting tool.

At the moment, the is noway to root on Lollipop. You must flash back to KK first.

I have moto g (xt 1032) which i have converted to gpe version (first 4.4.4. gpe and than to 5.0.1 gpe) but than I reverted back to 4.4.4. stock rom. Considering that Motorola update to lollipop is approaching , can I update my phone to stock lollipop via OTA or is there possibility to brick my phone?

if you're on 4.4.2 and unlocked you can update to 5.0 and still stayed unlocked, but if you're already on 5.0 and want to sim unlock, you can downgrade to 4.4.2 and use the ssu.apk to sim unlocked and update to 5.0.

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
No,it won't.You won't be able to update via OTA since you're rooted. You can flash the stock 6.0 ROM from fastboot without issues.

Greetings and welcome to assist. The verizon bootloader is locked so downgrading the bootloader may not be possible but it should be possible to downgrade anything else. Have a look at this thread
