Xperia Z3 D6603 back to stock? 16GB 5.0.2 lollipop rooted - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone. i have a rooted sony xperia z3 d6603 16GB wtich i want back to stock.
i rooted with giefroot v3 and used dualrecovery and i have a locked bootloader. but now i need to send my device in for warrenty purposes and i need it 100% factory stock.
How do i do it all the guides was for those with unlocked bootloader mine is LOCKED.
ALSO i flashed a pre-rooted lollipop firmware witch broke dual recovery so i no longer have a recovery.
And is there a flash counter like on samsung knox? does the xperia z3 have a tamper flag? will i loose my TA partition?
Thx, hope im not sounding tooooo noobie

No flash counter for locked bootloader.
You must flash the stock ftf [firmware] for your device.
There is a tutorial here.

It must be done through computer.
Download Flashtool.
Follow tutorials on how to flash ftf's.
It is not that hard, you'll manage it.

Ok sorry for keep asking but you mean flashtool.net right i dont know witch flashtool sorry for being that annoying noob
But heres what im gonna do is that correct:
1 open the flashtool.net flashtool
2 find the .tft after clicking flash
3 put my xperia in flashmode
4 let it flash
5 reboot it and its 100% unrooted and factory reseted and ready to send in for warrenty?

:laugh::good: oh yes..
Sony maked it hard to root it..
The problem here isn't rooting the phone. Doomlord's tool works pretty well to root a stock .21 and .31 JB. The issue is CWM. Don't install it... There isn't yet a fully working version of CWM for our phone.
Actually there is but it is a matter of swapping kernels, what he meant was there is no permanent CWM for Xperia J but if you are not planning to flash ROMs download Flash Gordon App, Root Required

Do i need root?
No not to use flashtool use on totally stock just make sure you don't include simlock and .ta parts of the ftf. Has your phone been rooted before or is the bootloader unlocked? Usually the only thing stopping a update from verifying.

Do i need to erase sim and try again?

Don't erase anything before you make a backup. Flashtool works on locked and unlocked bl so Google Flashtool, download 9.18.6 version, install drivers and PC Companion (if you haven't already), download ftf with XperiFirm (last button on right in Flashtool). When proces end flash ftf to your phone.
Good Luck!

You lose all files music etc. When you flash ftf it's good to wipe all data cache especially if you up/downgrading so your phone will be as new. First start may take little longer than usual.
Good Luck!

If you are running the Stock KitKat rom , Then you should be able to download it from "Update Manager" . If not , Download the latest FTF using flashtool / xperifirm.
Worked for me.
