[Q] Gapps for paranoid android 4.4.4 - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Where do i find the gapps for this version of paranoid android? I've tried to download gapps 4.4.4 from a couple of sources, but for some reason they've all been removed. Do I even have to use gapps 4.4.4 or can I go with 5.x.x?

[Q] Gapps for Katkiss 4.4.2

Sorry for a newb question. I just upgraded from an old HC rom to Tim's latest Katkiss rom. Do I just load the latest Gapps (4.4.2) or can I load the earlier Gapps (4.3.1 and 4.2.2) package? Just wondering as the newest Gapps package is pretty lean compated to the others.
TIA
You should use 4.4.2 Gapps for 4.4.2
You can end up with compatibility issues, things not working, sometimes not even booting if you use the wrong Gapps
You can always download missing Apps from the Play store once you are up and running, it's the 4.4.2 base gapps that are important to use the correct ones for

No cm12 rom boots in multirom

My setup -
Multirom modded twrp
Multirom
Stock Rom with multirom kernel ( AK )
I can boot 4.4 based roms as secondary rom with multirom for e.g the official Paranoid Android.
BUT
i have tried almost 5-10 CM12 roms and none of them boot as secendory roms.
ALTHOUGH,
the stock cm12 unofficial build had booted once ( the 1st time i used multirom ).
But after that neither has that rom booted, nor any other cm12 rom!!
Please help me!
That's because lollipop ROMs can only be used as a primary, it's been pretty widely discussed.

They can be installed as secondary with a modified updater-script file that the Dev needs to provide as it's ROM specific from my understanding. Try the temasek unofficial cm12 ROM and use zarchiver to delete the original updater-script file and replace it with the modified one provided by @katinatez
This will allow you to install the ROM. If it doesn't boot after that that's a different problem

Is that wise? Going from a KK based rom (CM11), to a L based rom (CM12)?
I'd advise user to wipe data, maybe even update to stock LRX22C and from there, flash twrp and cm12.
If he has a clean CM11 installation he can easily flash CM12 without wiping anything.
If you're on stock ROM and apply the OTA update you're also going from KitKat to Lollipop without wiping anything.
Official statement:
You can flash CM12 nightlies directly from CM11 M12 or CM 11 nightlies (no need to wipe), provided you read and followed items 1 and 2

The OP's question was whether you could flash CM12 over CM11, not whether or not it would boot up
@Lethargy: That answer made my day :'D

[Q] What gapps to flash with Kit Kat rom?

I am currently on EuphoriaOS May 3 with TWRP 2.8.6.0 and want to revert back to Final Mahdi 4.4.4. What is the procedure to do this?
Your going to need to flash the KitKat firmware before flashing the ROM. You can flash the last cyanogenmod snapshot CM11 build. It has the firmware built in. Then wipe again and flash mahdi/4.4.4 gapps. You can find those on android file host.

Install cyanogenmod 12.1

Hello,
I want to install cyanogenmod 12.1 based on Lollipop 5.1.1 , but I'm on Marshmallow 6.0. I have to downgrade my Nexus, or I can flash cyanogen 12.1 with TWRP on 6.0?
Full wipe and flash from TWRP with 5.1.1 Gapps of course.
