Hi
Is it possible my phone drains a lot more power after being rooted? It's been plugged out one hour now and already at 84% after barely 40 minutes of SOT.
Not sure if it's the root or not, but rooted it yesterday night and my battery was 'fine' before.
Might just be because I was a Xperia Z3 owner before and the battery life on that one was insane.

Boot into recovery and wipe your cache twice. Should fix it.
It mostly is not root.

Yeah I couldnt get deep sleep either...but i moved on and flashed twrp (using odin)
Then followed others guidance and used flashify to reflash stock recovery and then flashify again to flash twrp.
Deep sleeping absolutely fine now.

Nice. Have you disabled any of the bloat or running stock out of the box?

If you don't use your phone, it doesn't count.
Put in a SIM card, a microSD, and use your phone, and THEN see how your battery life is.

I never downloaded an app liked this so I assumed it was pre-installed, but the lack of description and screenshots got me curious. Then I noticed the app is dated November 2013 but it didn't prompt me to update until today? I'm on the stock ND2 rom with no root. Has anybody seen this before or know what it is?
This is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sequent.controlpanel

It's a sprint app. In your app list it should be listed as sprint touch
Well that was strange... the app is no longer in the market and there's no more update prompt. I didn't see "Sprint touch" anywhere in my apps either...

If you have a Titanium Backup installed, you can see a system app call Touch 0.9. I'm guessing this is what was updated.

Today, I titaniumed back to 0.9,
The update is now not showing available in my play store.
Hmmm...

i had that update too....but i never updated it and it went away on its own
this is exactly why i dont have the play store do automatic updates, and I do them manually

Clean install or update over .183 ?
Maybe try to install "gsam battery" to see what happen
And you got 28% screen usage without use your phone ?!

That should read "Android OS", no idea why 10333 shows instead. Drainage looks normal.
As for Antutu, my last two runs were 67,500 and 90,400. It doesn't mean anything.
Android OS is also there at the bottom of the list. 10333 is new to me and has drained alot of juice that is why I am worried

same here, i'm on sprint. is it ok to flash being deodex?
Not sure. I haven't got too deep into flashing on this phone, as there's not a heck of a lot to flash. Typically no, you would need to be stock odex and stock recovery to take an ota
Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
me too , i have this update 2 days ago , only changes i noticed :
* my hand free stopped working with my htc a9 and now its back again
*have new app called ""HTC VIP" , but its not working in my country
@k2buckley yeah, what a shame :/ i guess i'll have to wait and see what's new with this ota. it was a pain in the arse to get all things done yet i have some issues.
I'm getting that annoying notification about the system update. I'm just rooted with twrp. What would be the best way to update?

Have a look in Post TWRP Recovery #2
chapter 8,9 and 10.
NB: Download and save the ota in your sd card (you'll find it in /data/data/com.htc.updater). You could share it for XDA members...
Cheers
was about to ask the question where i could find it, thanks kho
any feedback abt this ota?
Only thing I've noticed is we have an option for the fingerprint scanner to wake the screen and use it as a home button.
it was already there. i think it's just some improvements and bug fixes.
