You are only able to check once a day, to actually ping the servers. You can reset your day and time ahead, to fool the server check. Someone did that a couple times, and finally got the OTA update.
Everyone will eventually get the update. If you want it faster, you'll have to change your time and date ahead over 24 hours each time you check.

Check this link. Its official. Do some research before saying (just suggestion no harsh words)
http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB423381&cv=820

I used that method (the one quoted by Saiyans) and flashed LP to my wife's G2 last night. Process was smooth, a little bit long because I had to flash 30c first and go from there. Then you have to take out the ATT software, etc, but it's working perfectly now.
BTW I was concerned by rooting and installing recovery after the update, but I did both things in less than 30 minutes after. There are great tools to do that now.

Please help..
I just bought ATT LG G2 phone. It is on 4.2.2 80010D. I was able to root the phone with ioroot. Now I'm trying install twrp and possibly
upgrade to LP. But I'm having hard time installing the recovery. I get no such file or directory message in cmd... I can't even get passed the first step... can anyone help? Thanks

Try reflashing the official rom whit this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2663369 i can update flashing this tot file with flashtool and searching the software update in the update section of the phone

Why is this in development section? WHY GOD, WHYYYYYYYY? ?

[Q] Help me Unbrick LG G2 D800 back
Hi Experts,
I am a Newbie, Seems bricked my device following the guidances as adviced on the above comments section,
1) I rooted the device, Installed SuperSu, Busybox
2) Installed TWRP recovery
2) Downloaded FOTA.ZIP (AT & T Lollipop for D800)
3) Tried Installing At & T Lollipop through ADB sideload but it failed.
I think i bricked the device, It does not get the boot it just shows the LG logo couple of secondds and then it just directly enters TWRP recovery.
Even USB detection also fails, it shows up other device -- LG D800.. I think if the Internal Storage gets detected i can place a rom and install using TWRP recovery mode.
Anyone please help me, Is there anyway i can unbrick my device back and working...

No mate it is under bootloop, does not get boot into AT & T android 5.0 which i tried to flash.. then i tried to flash CM12 still does not boot..
Now the device did not get detected in my system and also only twrp recovery shows up nothing else. If i try to flash a rom it says E: Mount: unable to find partition for path /root
Is it completely bricked ? Is there any way around to unbrick?

Anyone told you the totally wrong method. Miss guided you. Thats not the way to update manually.

That doesn't make sense. It states July 25. That was yesterday. The boards would be buzzing if anyone received the OTA!
I still have old baseband so I might try to update, only reason I didnt because rooting the device is a problem after doing it

There's going to be a lot of cheap g2x for sale on kijiji and craigslist.
This is 100% right. There was a post on the T-Mobile community page for RSA's yesterday. Since I work for T-Mobile i saw this as well. The OTA is v21e so it is the same version as the LG updater.T-Mobile also has it listed that if you do not want to do the OTA, to use the LG updater and update that way. This is a Official msg relased to all t-mobile employe's yesterday.

So all I need to do is keep cwm, restore my stock ROM that I had backed up as soon as I nvflashed cwm, and then I should get an OTA update in which I will then lose root and cwm and be at 2.3.3 stock? Correct?
I'm not seeing the OTA update. It says I have the current version. I restored a backup I made right before I started installing ROMs so my current info is Kernel 2.6.32.9, Software Version V10F, Baseband March 17, and Android 2.2.2. I also restored the stock recovery.
Any ideas? Does the OTA roll out slowly?

Nexus S M200 can't update JellyBean?

I have managed to update my Nexus-S (M200-Korean) to Jelly Bean.
First I updated with the stock image of international version using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...20&postcount=1
This changed the baseband version from M200 to XXXKl1
After reboot I was able to get 4.1.1 via OTA
I haven't seen any problems so far
Are there any that I may not have experienced yet?

If you experienced problem, look for this thread

I am from Kolkata,India.Using m200 korean model.Have the same problem as the threadstarter.I guess when you're using it smoothly then inshallah,i too would.
Just to be pretty sure, you're telling me to follow ONLY this:
First up, let me tell you that doing this is not necessay to get the OTA or having a smooth JB experience. The JB OTA installs without a wipe which means the data is preserved.
UPDATE: Google has put up the full image for 4.1.1 [i9023, i9020a and i9020t] . Now you do not need to clean flash ICS and then JB. Follow the part 1 of the guide below and flash the JB image instead of ICS. Nothing more to it.
Thanks anshumandash for pointing it out
That being said, I wanted to have the real stock image on my Nexus S and then Upgrade to JellyBean. Below are the steps that I took.
Go to this GoogleAndroidImages page and download the appropriate image for your phone & download. Since mine is an international version a.k.a I9023, I chose that ROM.
The download will be a tar.gz file. Use a utility like 7Zip to uncompress it. The tar.gz will have a .tar file inside and the /tar file will have a folder. Extract the folder to your PC. For my download, the folder was named soju-imm76d
Next Steps will wipe your phone, completely
Reboot your phone into bootloader mode.
Open a command prompt, navigate to the folder in step 2.
Enter the below commands, the image file names are for my download, modify it to the file names in your folder before running (I assume that you have fastboot working)
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-crespo-i9020xxkl1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-crespo-i9020xxki1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-soju-imm76d.zip

Yes you too can try..
for me, after the first step , I rebooted a couple of times and automatically got JB via OTA.
Insha-Allah you should also get the same.
But proceed with caution and download factory ICS image from google.

Do you have root? I know there's a way to download and grab the zip from the phone if you have root. Otherwise the other method you suggested may work.
EDIT: Root method is easier as you just download, use file manager to get it from /cache, and then you can upload it for others. I don't know which root methods do and don't work for your device however. Logcat can be done, you'll just be looking through a lot of lines of logs possibly.

its true what you say, i have been trying logcat but it shows a ton of lines, and im searching for the hotword .zip or zip or update and no results give me a URL, maybe samsung is cloaking the update from logcat or they found a way to hide it, in my phone the root i know it works is kingo root, but when im rooted the phone does not let me download the update, it says "your phone has been modified, updates are not available"

Try installing Xposed Framework and Wanam Xposed, and use the fake Official system status option. I think that might fix it but I don't remember all it checks.

Just download the 20c kdz from here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/mobile/index.php?id_mod=62
Be careful to get the right one for your model, 6WN/TAIWAN is for the 16gb variant, while TWN/TAIWAN is for the 32gb. Once you downloaded the firmware, flash it with lg flash tool 2014 and select CSE flash. It will erase all your data, so make a back up first.

Possible to flash the KDZ with normal flash so it doesn't wipe? I currently have the latest official KitKat.
You can do it with normal flash but you will likely have some problems, as they are different OS versions. A full wipe it's always the best way to avoid troubles. Take your time and do a back up first

Return to stock LS996 (Stock system.img)

I HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY ON THE USE YOU GIVE TO THESE FILES.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
REMEMBER TO USE EACH VERSION ONLY FOR THE ONE YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ON YOUR PHONE:
FOR EXAMPLE: FLASH ZV6 TO ZV6 AND ZV7 TO ZV7 NEVER USE AN OLDER VERSION OR YOU WILL BRICK OR GET A BOOTLOOP/STARTUP ERROR :good:
Here are the links of Stock UNROOTED LS996 (Sprint Flex2) System images just in case you need to return to stock.

no this is not TOT... these are just System images that have to be flashed through download mode with the process described here credits for the guide and root to @randrew87 @Sj12345 and @Google~Android
If you dont understand do some research, this is only for returning to stock in case you want to OTA update or have some kind of problem with your current system.
Thanks for replying. I am currently bootlooping. I was screwing around in the build.prop and kept getting UI crashes. So it was just in a constant loop. Somehow I got the bright idea to wipe it in recovery and immediately facepalmed myself when I realized I just turned off USB debugging. So I was searching everyday for a .tot obviously to no avail and jumped the gun and got excited when I saw this. I am not familiar with the process of returning to stock with the .IMG file but I am super thankful that you linked a guide. I'm heading over to read it now!
I can install zv8 in zv7…? Problems?

As stated in my post you can only use each version with itself... You cant use zv7 on zv8 or zv8 on zv7 YOU WILL BRICK OR BOOTLOOP/SECURITY ERROR.
Ok thanks

Can anyone post an image for v5? I simply can't get the damn tot method to work and I need to restore the device to as close to stock as I can. Any help would be appreciated.

The TOT method failed for me a few times, moved my USB to the main board of my PC instead of the front ports and worked flawlessly. Hope it will work for you as well.
Dont use the ms8994.dll file but instead the older g3 generic dll. Dont remember the number exactly. I had to do this to restore my flex to stock when I wanted to upgrade from zv5 and it was rooted.
Gonna give both a shot, thanks mates!

Im glad it worked for you.
I did had a chance to flash ZV6rooted on ZV9unrooted. No brick. But phone operates improperly in this case.
I just mean, it is not 100% sure you will brick the phone.
Maybe it is also depends how to flash?

But why would you want to downgrade if there's root for ZV5 - ZV9?
My phone works awesome since I updated and its supposedly patched for stagefright.

Seems that if you use the system images only certain things get broken in the process like signal and wifi.
But if you decide to TOT back to stock you get a HaRd Brick QH_USB BULK or QUALCOMM 9008.
And there is no way to get out of that. YET.
