CDMA radio is qualcomm
Just saw this:
Qualcomm's patent portfolio is both extensive and — when it comes to releasing phones on networks that rely on CDMA technologies — largely unavoidable. Verizon Wireless relies on CDMA for their non-LTE networks, which means Samsung needs to recognize their license to use Qualcomm's patents.

CDMA is largely limited to two carriers in the US, so Samsung has no motivation to go after Qualcomm (an American company) to gain their own technology and patents in such a limited market. (Granted, Verizon is huge!) So, they buy one chip from Qualcomm for a couple models of the device and put a sticker on them as license recognition.

A lot of devices are coming but not any one (except Tera) with REAL keyboard...
Rarely do we see the FCC approving an HTC phone and posting photos of it – and yet this has just happened.
The HTC PC70110 has been approved by the Commission with AT&T 3G bands (850 / 1900 MHz), and we can clearly see that it’s a touchscreen handset with a full QWERTY keyboard.
The handset also has four touch-sensitive keys, one of them being the familiar Android Home key, so the PC70110 is most likely based on Google’s OS. Update: upon a closer inspection, I’ve noticed that the keys look exactly like the four keys the HTC Droid Incredible has. The navigation pad, however, is different.
Sadly, we don’t know the real name of the PC70110 (this is just the model number – these are almost never used by HTC after a handset is launched).

Will we get it? If so, when is it most likely?
We will get it. Samsung has it on their lollipop upgrade list; right behind the Note 4. I think it was estimated for Feb-March.
Of course the carriers will slow that down also.

As a flagship model, it will definitely come
This is all I had. Not sure how official it is or where it came from.

For some od reason no 5G at all on every carrier, will there be an update to fix this? Or am I doomed with a only 4g phone where I spent 1300 bucks on to have 5g speeds? And I'm talking about the Rog Phone 5 and that is suppose to be 5G compatible, if it's not I'll make sure to get a refund
Can confirm, I also cannot connect with 5G, only 4G+, provider is T-Mobile Poland. It could be that provider allows only whitelisted device models to connect with 5G during tests of this technology.

Today I succesfully connected with 5G when I moved to bigger city. It seems that coverage maps falsely claims that there is 5G coverage where I tried first.

Can anyone with an S22 Ultra check if there's MST functionality in Samsung Pay? The spec sheet suggest MST is available on the S22 Ultra
no thats been addressed already it doesn't have it...Its dead unfortunately
I've read MST is still alive in some countries. Is dead in the US.
So Samsung did get rid of it for the US. That sucks, I still use it lots of places.
Does no mst push anyone to Google pay vs samsung??
Have used samsung since it's been available. But setting it up again, debating Google vs samsung.
Not me, no way!
do we know if any Ultra variants have MST and if so which ones?
When I setup spay on the phone there was a disclaimer right at the bottom saying the phone does not support MST

Mine doesn't. S22 Ultra Verizon version. I'm not sure if matters that much anymore. Pretty much every place I've been to recently are all NFC capable.

How long would it take for a current typical quantum computer to break a Verizon bootloader lock?
Asking for a friend.
Done, also did all them and any that could ever exist.

Never gonna end up with a Verizon unlock man. Time to pick a new device
Verizon is a carrier / network company, they lock phones they sell by a SIM-lock, what has nothing to do with Android device's bootloader.

We're not talking about telecommunications here or sim unlocking. We're talking about a lock that's put on most Android devices that enforces a firmware signature check. For most devices this can't ever be changed
For this, device's brand and model must be known. Actually Verizon sell Motorola, Samsung, Google and Apple phones.
