How long for quantum computer to break Verizon bootloader lock? - General Questions and Answers

How long would it take for a current typical quantum computer to break a Verizon bootloader lock?
Asking for a friend.

Done, also did all them and any that could ever exist.

Never gonna end up with a Verizon unlock man. Time to pick a new device

Verizon is a carrier / network company, they lock phones they sell by a SIM-lock, what has nothing to do with Android device's bootloader.

We're not talking about telecommunications here or sim unlocking. We're talking about a lock that's put on most Android devices that enforces a firmware signature check. For most devices this can't ever be changed

For this, device's brand and model must be known. Actually Verizon sell Motorola, Samsung, Google and Apple phones.

Sprint s5 network unlock box

Originally posted in wrong thread. I thought you couldn't get the unlock code box to pop up on the sprint variant (SM-G900P), but managed to do so. Maybe it was possible, but I just never seen it.
Anyway, what now? I have MSL code, but don't want to start throwing wrong codes in and freezing the phone.

I was messing around with idoneapps gt.apk after flashing to MOAR V7.0. I ran the GT.APK update afterwards and the network unlock box was gone and anyway It's for "international unlock", wich I already have and is useless to me. I was thinking I could domestically sim unlock if I had a code to input. No?
Those input boxes are accessible on the Sprint ROMs, (was discovered somewhere in the DSU thread) the problem is there are no known codes out there to input - places/people that sell codes simply do not have them for sprint devices.
In theory, yes, it would probably unlock your device if you got the correct code, but as you point out, trying random ones will likely hard-lock your device (and need a second code to unfreeze).

S8+ SM-G995F carrier locked, how to unlock?

Hello guys!
I have a carrier locked Samsung Galaxy S8+ it's locked to México's Telcel (TCE) and it's locked since I got it at launch date with a 2 year plan which has already expired. I went to the carrier and asked for an unlock and they told me they couldn't do it since the codes they had didn't work. They sent it to Samsung and asked for an unlock and surprisingly IT DIDN'T WORK! So they just returned me the freaking phone with a carrier lock which not even they (presumably) can't remove.
I was wondering if there's a way to unlock it with rooting or something. I was able to do that on an old Galaxy S4 back in the day but now I just don't see any information.
So, here's the phone's information:

This is the Phone's Baseband, Firmware and all that stuff:
This is what happens whenever I insert another carrier sim card:
I really want to unlock it so that I can give the phone to my dad since he needs an update and this phone seems like a good upgrade for him. The problem is that he is using another carrier and I can't give him the phone if I don't unlock it.
Can I unlock it by rooting it and flashing an unlocked firmware or something? Any other ideas?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Oneplus 7 pro : Not Common Lock

Hello Guys,
I live in Canada and I bought a few weeks ago a One plus 7 pro from Alieexpress, after a few days of working properly the phone got locked suddenly.
After contacting one plus and T mobile it looks like the phone is locked with this US carrier, weird knowing that it worked perfectly for a few days?
Anyway, after doing some digging around, I don't find a solution for the type of unlock I have, what I mean by that is that the phone got locked with a message that says " Network Lock This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. please use the "Unlock" application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has internet access to use the "Unlock" application " problem is the phone I got is completely exempted of any T mobile apps or branding, it doesn't prompt me to enter any pin to unlock it, nor I have the permanent/temporary unlock buttons as there is no T mobile app on the phone what so ever. the phone also come sealed in a new package.
does anybody has a solution for the type of unlock?
Thank you very much in advance for your help !

LG mobile developpement stopping?

Hi, i was trying to unlock bootloader and root my LG Velvet5G but unfortunately bootloader unlock is not allowed for LM-G900UM (US, Canada version...).
So I can't do it. (unless there's a method I don't know..)
So I was searching for info on this on LG's dev site and this notification popped up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
"...and issuing the bootloader unlock key will not be available."
I guess they will not allow US velvet unlock before this...
That's sad.
Someone wants to switch phone with me? hahaha
Its very unnecessary for LG to kill the developer site without given users the ability to unlock their phones. I think we need to sign a petition for LG go give users the ability to unlock their device

T-Mobile Sim Unlock?

I bought my phone new unlocked and am sending it back to LG for warranty repair. Part of the screen quit working. I started the process of sending it back and got the prompt below which pretty much says I'll get my phone back re-locked to T-mobile. Pretty sure T-mobile won't unlock this phone for me as I never used it with them. Locked to T-mobile, my phone is just a paperweight. Is there a way to sim unlock the phone after LG re-locks it that doesn't involve T-mobile or paying a ridiculous ransom to some sketchy unlocking website?

If it's locked back to T-Mobile then you should be able to reach out to them to have it unlocked as it will be part of their database. If you have doubts I would save any relevant info like IMEI off current phone reach out to t-force by Facebook or Twitter and let them know the situation and they can tell you what you need to do to have the phone unlocked again.
I'm pretty sure if you have proof that you sent in an unlocked phone and received a lock phone they will unlock it for you. Reaching out before hand you can also get a reference number or screenshot the conversation so you can have proof at a later date if they say you're fine and have LG service and replace it etc if Tmo gives you trouble in the future.
