Just hit a roadblock...got my device bricked .Project stalled till I get a new device.Sorry guys for making your hopes high. Will get back to it once I get my device replaced(its still in 30 days warranty period).

Sorry to hear that. There are only few devs on this device...

How can you brick a Mi 4? Its meant to be re-flashed with fastboot, and even if that did not work, as a QC device can be accessed any time..
Do you need any help?

Got confused b/w the posrt and base roms, flashed the zip with one plus's kernel inside. Can't get into recovery or fastboot. But luckily the device is covered by 30 day return guarantee by the website I bought from.
My friend will lend me his MI4 till the replacement.

Hi, I have this device, but its my daily driver and I had several occurrences where Chinese devices break down, so I'd like to preserve warranty. After it expires I'll start developing for it full time. Now I need someone who could test it.

Oh I get it, I have a galaxy s6 as my daily driver too and, since I'm from Italy, I dont care about chinese phones warranty (it would cost me more the delivery and time waiting lol).
Btw sticking back to topic, I've tried to flash through twrp the latest 0119 build but it gives back error (during flashing in twrp) saying "wrong model, this is for f5 and device model is m2" o.0

Flash using my recovery. Twrp doesn't come from a trusted source (the dev didn't even supply the source code), so I cant tell anything about it. But this error is because I changed the device id from some very strange retarded one (something like this: x59_dg) to a more user readable f5. You could remove the lines that check for the device id (should be the first ones) from the updater-script inside the flashable zip.

Lineage 14.1 for Honor 6X

Hi! I haven´t got many experience as a developer. I took some time and tried to port Lineage 14.1 to Honor 6X. I don´t know if rom works or even boots and it would be nice if someone can test it!
REMEMBER: This is only a test build and it wasnt tested before so flash the Rom only if you did full reset insturctions and did a FULL TWRP Backup before.
I AM NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR BRICK OF YOUR DEVICE WHILE FLASHING THIS TEST BUILD ON YOUR DEVICE. YOU DECIDE IT ON YOUR OWN AND MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE DEVS TEST THIS BEFORE. TEST ROM ONLY IF YOU KNOW TO RESTORE SYSTEM.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/chs2200tyayol1b/lineage-14.1-20170708-UNOFFICIAL-berlin.zip
It would be great to have some details like the source, credits, instructions, which kernel is it using... Also knowing if it works before posting it would have been a plus.
downloading. going to test tomorrow if boots.

Looks like no one tested. Yet.
i download the zip, and without flashing i know that will never work. Like felix, has unzip rom zip file, and rezip into a "los14" folder ...
i have unzip the rom, re zip without the "los14" folder. Twrp 3.0.x give me an error 7. try later with Twrp 3.1.1.
Edit: ro.cm.version=14.1-20170531-UNOFFICIAL-eva ?

If nothing else, it's a reminder that people want Los 14.
OP, good try. Keep working on it and coordinate with others who are.
for me, already try to build a LOS-14. For now, not booting, but only 3 days working for. I have switch with my old nexus 5 and let my honor 6x for dev.
i'm not a rom dev, but a senor web dev, i know linux .... so i just try (but no result for now) !

As far as I know they do it to make it harder for Resellers to install their ****ty rom... It was the same with HTC back then, you had to ask for an unlock.bin file to unlock the bootloader
I received mine today. Have to wait insane 360 hours to get it unlocked.

Wouldn't use some app to flash something, just use adb. It's not hard and there are lots of tutorials
Does unlocking the botloader give any disadvantages like with other brands?
Eg less quality of camera?

Theoretically Xiaomi Mi 9 SE ROMs should run on Realme 5 Prox, right?

They have the same chipset, same camera, even the same kernel version. Battery and screen type shouldn't make a difference here in firmware and ROM question. What do you think about this?
