[Q] Remove encryption

Hello,
I encrypted my tf101 in revolver 3.11 rom. Now I would like to remove encryption, but this does not work. I tryd Settings->Privacy->Factory data reset. Pad rebooted and hanged. I tryd with CWM 3.2 wipe data got error. CWM 5 same problem.
Fixed: Stock recovery is needed to get rid of encrypted data partition. After getting stock recovery then Factory data reset worked.

Decryption failed

I'm running an encrypted device. I went in to recovery, did a nandroid backup, then did a wipe data to test something. The phone booted fine after the wipe. Then I went back in to recovery and restored my nandroid. Now the phone won't decrypt and says I need to factory reset. Says something like "Your password is correct but decryption failed" ... Is there a way to recover my data, or am I screwed?

Factory Reset on Fully encrypted rooted phone with TWRP by chr0247 v2.8.6.0

Hi folks,
I have following problem:
My phone's micro-usb port is broken. It is only able to charge the phone, but does not recognize USB data connections anymore.
I have activated full device encryption.
Factory resetting fails with unable to mount data messages (due to encryption?)
Factory reset from within the system fails too because it seems to need stock recovery?
Flashing of stock recovery through TWRP fails too with unable to mount data messages.
Any ideas how i can do a successful factory reset and/or flash stock recovery?
Thanks,
Clemens
Sorry for the wrong section...did read the sticky too late.
You have to use SPFlash Tool to reflash everything. From what I know TWRP v2.8.6.x doesn't fully support encryption.

Unsuccessful decryption

Okay, I'm not sure if this entirely the right place. Have updated to Viper 2.1.0. Rebooted my phone, as I do each morning. It came up with needing to to enter a decryption key, ie; my password. Did said & it failed saying that data is corrupt. TWRP can no longer read the data portion either. Therefore can't wipe it in TWRP.
Is there a way to format or wipe the data partition through either fastboot or adb?
Factory reset but your data will be gone.

Click to collapse
Try this, Venom helped with it a while ago and it worked, you will just have to re activate smart lock in google setting.
TWRP-Advanced-File Browser.
Navigate to /data/system and delete the locksettings.db.
I got my phone back from HTC after repair my phone screen and they wiped my custom rom and recovery but still have unlocked bootloader and restore oreo 8.0.
I managed to re-install twrp and tried to install a customed rom and experienced the same "decryption unsuccessful". But there is no lockingsettiings.db in the folder.
I will later try this method and report.... been a frustrating day....

Switching roms without losing user data

Since there is no TWRP for op8t, I'm trying to figure out how to switch roms without wiping user data. TWRP does this with the Factory Reset option. Anyone know which folders are deleted with TWRP Factory Reset? I tried /system/data/data but the phone got stuck on Android is updating... after starting.
You can't
