[Q] Why is my lowest CPU frequency 800mhz? (Antutu) - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't get great battery life with the S6 and was wondering if this might be related somehow. I just did an Antutu test and it listed the frequency of my CPU as 800-2100mhz. Now I know that the lowest clock speed is 400mhz, so this could be a reason why my battery life isn't great. What does Antutu say about your device?

Mine says the same in Antutu. But, I've verified with CPU Spy and BBS that I'm getting both 400MHz and deep sleep.

CPU-Spy says my clock is 400-1500 ...?

Did you root and/or flash twrp recovery? If so, wipe your cache.

I just got it yesterday evening and haven't done anything special to it.

Something must be keeping it awake.

No it looks like it is deep sleeping or at 400 at least 80% of the time, but the max only goes to 1500...So i'm not sure.

OK so maybe it's cpu-spy. I'll try another one. Do you have any recommendations for a cpu monitor? There are a ton out there.

[Q] Voltage resetting after reboot

My voltage control is resetting after every boot up. Can someone please tell me how to stop my voltage from resetting? Thanks

Need more info... what method do you use to apply the settings at boot?
I am moving my setting up to 1600 volts. It keep going back to 100 volt.
it could be that the rom/kernel you are using doesnt support overclocking. if your phone cant take the setting you put it will reboot. it acts as a fail safe so you dont fry your device.

Oh boy.... that means your phone is at idle.... its going to go down... moving it to 1600 is called overclocking... which makes that the top level your phone will go to when using it and its not supposed to stay there... if your just looking at the screen yes its going to change levels and eventually go down to 100.. if your phone stayed at 1600 constantly you would have a fried up paperweight because it would get extremely hot... if this is what your talking about, I suggest removing voltage control and do some research on overclocking and undervolting first before using it again.

If it does not support it, the 1600 option would not even show up as a possibility.
Oh ok. limited knowledge on, my part. Still learning. Sorry to give false information

Na thats fine to do in moderation as long as you watch the temp... Now if you leave it overclocked and keep it in hot/confined places or for whatever reason it stays at that level (which there is no way it should) for a long time... Yea, your gonna have some issues more then likely.
Edit: Let me rephrase it... i personally feel its fine to do in moderation and havent had any issues as i have made sure to keep an eye on the temp... but everyone feels differently about it and some people are completely against it.

How to determine what app keeps tab ffom deep sleeping?

What is the best way to find out?
Thanks al

thnx )) So i shouldnt worry about anything?
Nah, had the phone not froze and you've kept on using it for a long period of time - then yes, it mightve damaged something in the long run.
But since it froze right away, the odds of something getting damaged is minimal.

Thnx! But do you know the highest safe voltage for S4 processors! Just asking!
Ps: I'm new to Xda, but used to Android and Linux specially.
Nope, no idea. I dont really see the point on OC'ing a phone, all it does is drain the battery faster , and the S got plenty of power as-is

But but I get a higher score lol, underclock ftw.

Nexus 5 terrible idle time (19 hr, 65 percent)

I have low LTE signal in the area but Wifi on. Would this be able to drain all my battery overnight by just idling?

you just installed it ?
if so you need to wait the next time it happens.
most of time it will be in the "Partial Wakelocks" (BBS) or "CPU wakelock" (Wakelocks detector)
(root may be necessary)

I've had it for a while. I haven't seen any weird wakelocks under partial, have'nt checked CPU. I'm used to troubleshooting, but this time it's just weird :\

Somethings hogging your mobile data in the background. Check your mobile data stats. IF you can, try disabling Google+ and see if it makes a difference.

Heating issues

Is heating issue is normal in moto g3 or I am the only one...
I contacted Motorola but they temperature below 51 c means device is in normal conditions and my phone sows 39 c temp in normal uses

lol, because in our india cpu temp. goes up to 60'C and he thinks 39 is overheating, so.....
But what temperature are you reading? Battery? If you run CPU-Z there are quite a few sensors...
Thermo CF

Mine is 2Gb,16Gb Indian version (BLACK)
i can give u a tip so that your temp goes lower quick
1) While the phone is charging i keep Brightness to as LOW as possible, it would help me.. :cyclops:
Other than that i am helpless
My phone heats up More when doing these process :
1) Camera App opened for more than 5 mins..
2) Torch for more than 5 mins..
3) When i go out if GPS is ON and its a sunny day ( then it need water cooling )
CONCLUSION : YES it heats up , and here is my Temperature When the Google claims the temperature here is 27 C ( but its more i have sun directly hitting on me :silly: )
i will definitely keep my snap when it reaches Highest soon

I checked it :highfive: thanks .. i noticed that there is same result on CPU Z and this so no problem .. they all might be using same sensor to find the device temperature :good:
cpu temp. shown in kernel auditor looks more realistic. :/

You should read the battery temp. As the others are thermal sensors which record temperature surrounding the phone.
