I finally had to replace the screen protector because of a nick in the original. I bought the tmo brand when I got the phone, and wow does that thing suck. It's thick, doesn't cover the whole screen, and is cloudy.
Any suggestions for a better protector? It would be nice to find the same one that was on the phone from the manufacturer. LG points me towards their online store, which is not the same protector that came with the phone.
I also bought the tmobile one but after reading the reviews I regretted it, but I really needed one just because I was more in love with my phone after getting the Mugen 4500mah extended battery, so they had a kiosk down here in the shopping mall in hawaii, and they installed screen protectors, it's called clear coat, they said it's similar to invisible sheild, but better then zagg because it doesn't get that orange tint after awhile. I love it covers the whole face, unlike the original which exposed the sides and way better than the tmobile ones that you just mentioned.
It was a wet install but wasn't very messy and came out nice and solid. I just wish they could've done the extended battery cover. Check it out, it's called clear coat, and has a lifetime warranty.
I'm in the same boat, and I just bought the full "body kit" from them. I'll let you know how installation goes when it comes in.
How good is sigen glass screen protector?
http://www.spigen.com/brands/samsung/galaxy/galaxy-s5.html
They seem to very hard to be scratch proof. Do they prevent damage of screens from falling? If not, I probably will choose a cheaper one because I never put keys or coins along with my phones. Is there any other paricular good points of glass screen protectors?

i just ordered mine yesterday i will let you know..hopefully it works amazing
If it's at least equal to the one of the s4 I can say it's the best glass screen protector I came across. And yes it protects even on the little falls. Because it protect mine when I left fall down from my hand it wasn't a big fall but when I lift the phone up the screen protector had a crack and the original phone screen had absolutely nothing
Great to hear that. Will order one.
I currently have the Zagg one on mine, it works very nicely. Throw it in my motorcycle jacket pocket all the time without worrying about scratching the actual screen, especially since it has a lifetime warranty and I can just get a replacement if it scratches up too badly.
I'm sure the Spigen ones are similar.
Great to hear that, will get one.
I am currently using the Luvvitt and I have nothing but stellar remarks for it. It's cheap, and it works flawlessly. My first one had a microscopic nick in the top right edge that was preventing the screen protector from adhering on that edge. I let them know last Friday and SUNDAY the mailman hand delivered me a new one.. Not even sure how all of that happened but yeah, great customer service to boot.
tech armor
i got the tech armor ultraclear ballistic glass and have to say this is a pretty nice investment. It's $20 from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IGISUTG/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and its crystal clear, easy to put on, and so far seems to be pretty rock solid. i havent thrown it down a gravel road or anything, but i am pretty impressed by how clear it is, how smooth it feels, and the time it took to install, which was about 5 minutes, followed by smoothing out one 'line' across the middle that looked like a crease or something, but went away by pushing it with my finger.
5 stars for this product.

:good: Gotta back you up on that one. Bought one and it's fantastic.
So I bought the GLAS.tr Nano the day it came out and was really excited about it. Unfortunately I was the first negative review on Amazon for the product. I got in contact with the company and it seems as though there was a batch that had issues with the tack used to stick it to the screen. Mine had several areas where it would just never stick along the edges and a huge area near the bottom that had no stick to it. I informed them and they promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement is perfect in every way and I couldn't be happier.
That said, I ordered the top rated glass protector with rounded edges on Amazon that was something like $12 for my girlfriend while I was having the issues with Spigen. Honestly the quality is almost identical for 1/3 the cost. If I had it to do over I would not have gone with the Spigen protector and gotten two of the cheaper options.
I did change my review to four stars but did not go with a full five due to it being over priced compared to the competition.

i have the same....works great....fit well...and super cheap to boot compared to the spigen:good:
I had the Spigen GlastR Nano on the S5 but had a speck of stuff under the screen. Pulled it off and installed the Zagg Glass and damn if I did not get another tiny speck under the Zagg also.
The Spigen is a nice glass but I like the Zagg a little better. Thinner, softer edges, easy tags for the install and it just feels plain nice.
MIME Feather Glass is what I ended up getting. Part of my decision was that I planned on getting my T-Mobile SGS5 from Delaware to avoid sales tax and I needed to have the screen protector (wanted to try glass for the first time too) by the time I had it too. I live in NJ and MIME is made in New York, so the quick shipping (free anyway but quick since we're neighbors) made it a good decision for me...
And I couldn't be ANY HAPPIER with my decision. It's so thin that I can barely feel it's there. I know if I went any thicker, I wouldn't like the feeling of going over the home button. The fit is beyond perfect and I don't have any scratches on it AT ALL yet. Keep in mind I go to the gym a lot and my pockets have zippers and I'm sure I'm constantly rubbing up against them when I take it out and put it in (that's what she said). No scratches at all. Responsiveness is completely unhindered.
I would highly recommend it...
---------------------------
Also, a little tip (regardless of brand I suppose, but the "purple film", basically a screen sized film with a very very light adhesive for "anti-dust preinstallation film" MIME gave actually came in VERY HANDY for me...) for the install!
credits to BillTheCat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015394
okay, the only advice I really took here was to go into the bathroom at home (low dust environment!) and run the hot water in the shower for a bit (steam it up, even less dust).
at that point, I wiped my screen of course, then I just took the protector, handled it from the sides to make sure I got no oil on the adhesive side, and lined it up just right (worked for me, maybe you might want to try the tape method, but it may be difficult with glass protectors) and laid it down (bottom first to line up the home button perfectly). i ended up with 2 pieces of dust towards the top. damn it.
then the purple film came in damn handy. i very carefully (with my fingernails, but being careful not to actually touch under the glass and get marks on it) lifted up the glass and peeled it back just enough to get "purple film" underneath and "grab" the dust particles off of the screen. i was afraid it may leave marks or residue, but it didn't at all. not sure how painter's tape would work in this case, but I'm proud to say that I have a 100% dust free, mark free, PERFECT installation. =DDDD
then again, I have some patience and a fairly steady hand, so this may or may not work for you. I used to make money back in middle school changing out LED's on Nokia 5100's, 6100's, 8200's series... ah the old days haha. that required some steady hands. i still have my 8260 that i converted to the 8860 and soldered on the slide pin that made the sliding cover active. removing and rotating the polarized LCD films to invert the screens.. anyone remember all4cell? man i feel old now.
wow, now i'm thinking about the old TDMA networks and how much i hated GSM phones cause you couldn't change the carrier tags (on Nokias). i guess if it was still like back then, the T-Mobile Galaxy S5 threads would be the VoiceStream Galaxy S5 threads MIRITE??!
biggest advice though: go to the bathroom, steam it up (not too much)! that alone helps with the dusty environment, i thought that was very very good advice.
I got this with US$25 and working fine

It's the LUVVITT brand. Maybe it's a little thicker than the Spigen, but honestly it's barely noticeable. Especially when you factor in the little ridge along the screen of the S5.

That's good to know as I shop around for glass screen protector. Thanks!
I just got it in the mail today. Had to put it on right away. Extra smoothness! I've had the Spigen Glas series since the S4
I went cheap and got this http://www.ebay.com/itm/151282778240?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Works like a charm, and for $6 you can't really argue..why would I spend $20-$40 for a glass screen when this phone is already made with tough Gorilla glass? I also have this http://www.ebay.com/itm/351046202801?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 case, so it's not I'll ever break my screen now when dropping my phone..

In my experience the best part of the glass protectors is that they feel the best. For the longest time I bought the super cheap xtremeguardz protectors on slickdeals which were good for protection but felt too tacky and got really dirty. Same with the free protector that came with spigen case for my Nexus 5. The glass ones feel like you don't have a screen protector on, shed minor damage readily, and provides the best extreme impact protection (at the cost of its own life though).
The biggest drawback is that they can chip if you drop them on cement... depends on the person, I know people who go an entire year with no screen protector, and I know others who drop their phones on pavement regularly. I recently reviewed the Movaluate 7 protector (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2744597) which has served me well so far.
I walked into a Bestbuy yesterday to buy a screen protector for the note 4, there were none. When I asked girl in mobile said they were all recalled? Anyone hear this?
Would not surprise me. ZAGG ones didn't fit properly.
I have not heard of this. I was in a Best Buy yesterday, but I did not take the time to view their screen protectors there. I prefer to buy my protectors from Amazon.com as they are much cheaper and you receive a good amount depending on which you buy from Amazon.

When I purchased my Note 4 at Best Buy I also purchased the Zagg glass shield screen protector and paid to have them apply it (good thing). The fist one he thought some lint got into the edges as they would not stick no matter how he rubbed and rubbed. He then opened another package (of no cost to me as the first was "defective") and that too did the same thing. So, I just had them refund me my money for the screen protector and the service charge to apply it. But, here's the clincher, I went to a sprint store to see if maybe Best Buy just had a bad batch or something? Well, the sales rep there said they are not recommending them right now because they are not sticking around the edges. So, bottom line you're better off going amazon for now till they get a fix.
Ive used the zaggs from bestbuy since my s3 and had them on my s3,s4,n3,s5 and now my n4. Always used the clear hd plastic ones and decided to go with the same for the n4. Works and looks great. Maybe its just the glass ones.
its not amazon, its not best buy, its not the sprint store. its our Note 4's screen. its slightly curved so the edges on the tempered glass cant stick, they arnt bendable enough. theyre making a "bendable" tempered glass screen protector but thats going to come out a little bit later on, probably after more R&D. i have a ebay screen tempered glass protector and it also has the same issues. i used to work at best buy and its all the same stuff. i personally use the ebay one while not completely sticking to the edges, it does still provide some protection and with the screen on, you cant tell that its not sticking.
I figured that there would not be any glass screen protectors made for the Note Edge since it would be too difficult for manufacturers to produce.
However, I'm constantly searching the web in the hopes that some company does produce it. To my surprise, I found the following website(looks to be out of stock), but supposedly they are creating one:
http://www.techarmor.com/tech-armor...earest-screen-protector-retail-packaging.html
Let's help each other out and place any links for other Glass Protectors for the Note Edge that may come along in the future.
I have a feeling any glass screen protectors they make will not cover the edge screen
ebay has some
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anti-Explosion-Tempered-Glass-Film-Screen-Protector-for-Samsung-Note-Edge-/191413851195?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item2c9127943b
but they only cover the front and not the edge.
i doubt there will be any that will cover the edge anytime soon. Its going to be pretty hard to make it fit just right without a space between the screens.
Plastic protectors would have some give to them so it would bend over.

I agree but hope your wrong with today's technology someone should come up with one , if they do it will be expensive , finger's crossed meanwhile ups just dropped off my Note Edge , the only viable solution I found was a skinomi screen protector that wraps around the curve , unfortunately it cost me 20 buck's to have it 2 day shipped no Prime , go figure screen protector 7$ shipping 20 $ also waiting for my Fosman case from amazon should be here tomorrow , now if I could just get UAG to send me my case sooner then the 25 th , I really don't feel like taking a chance on taking the phone out , without a good screen protector and case .............:good:

Yea I had a fosman case order before I got the edge. It came in the day before I pick it up in store. I paid $4 on ebay.
I had screen protectors but they didn't cover the edge. So had to order some more.
I never had a glass screen protector before, since I always put a protectors on day one. But I must say I like the glass feel or the device. So I kinda hope they make a full glass protector.

Philly, did the skinomi work? I love bestscreensever but they will not be making any. I used them for years and years. My note 3 still have the original from Oct 2013 and still in great shape.
I have not used it yet ,picked up the nexus 6 yesterday been setting that up, plus very busy with work , however I have both skinomi protectors on my desk I'm hoping I have time later today to install, I'll let you know and post a few pictures as soon as I can..
I bought a universal screen protector from zagg and cut it to fit my note edge. The one I bought is bigger than the entire lcd on the phone and the zagg's don't try to stay flat so it wrapped around the edge display nicely.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PPSOT9U/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1418256139&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
I wonder how this will fit.. It's only a few bucks, guess I'll give it a shot, assuming it won't cover the edge, not sure how it will fit like that, but I guess we will find out.
What the he'll J currently unavailable......? Lol. Just teasing I'll give it a shot when it's available currently using the skinomi not bad bubble free you can barely tell it's on, but nothing beats glass
I'm thinking of getting a tempered glass protector for the flat screen and get the clear self healing ones everyone here talks about for the edge portion.
Trace the self healing protector with the the glass one and cut the edge part off the self healing one.
Apply the glass protector and then apply the cutout of the edge.
I tried looking for that glass protector on ebay but now it's gone. Anyone know where I can get more?
I too have the skinomi brand and am impressed with it. I also reviewed it on amazon. It fits perfectly and still has the finger print issue I mentioned on amazon. However I have also noticed a lot of screen errors in the form of inadvertent screen presses and zoom in/out while trying to scroll. Since I have had the screen protector since nearly day one I do not know if this is an issue with the phone itself or the barrier/drag of the skinomi material.
I do like the feel though. It is nearly un-noticeable.

The tech armor glass screen protector "coming soon" status reminds me of the subway just built near my house. when I was in freshman year of college and wife in high school, is when we first saw the "coming soon" sign. That was in 2005. they just finished building it last month and it's still not open for business, lol. That how I feel about this screen protector
I ordered Alien Surface HD front and rear. I'll tell you how good it is.
I wonder if there is an edge to edge screen for this one?
I installed the film on the screen, it fits very well, full size. Great care when installing! I am very satisfied. It remains to be seen how the resistance is.
Instructions must be followed strictly and installation kit helps a lot.

Hello everyone, this is my first thread. But after finding such a great screen protector I had to stop lurking and post.
Anyways, I got the S6 launch day and immediately went to my local best buy for a glass protector. I didn't want to order anything off amazon or online because I would have a few days of no protection. So I went the BB and purchased the only available glass screen protector, the Zagg InvisiShield HD Glass for $40 plus tax. I went home and attempted to put it on myself, as I had done this before with previous phones. But boy this was a nightmare, the edges near the home button and the bottom of the phone would not lay down AT ALL, haloing as some call it. So I pulled it up and tried again, which resulted in some dust getting under it, which caused me to freak out because they don't include anything to help get dust off of the adhesive side.
Anyways, I now had a ****ty looking screen protector on my phone. I'm a little OCD so I went to BB and explained the issues I had with the installation, after a little convincing the service rep exchanged it for me. I decided to pay $7 and have the Geeks install it for me. This is where I began to realize issues with the Zagg.
It took them SEVEN attempts, using a completely new protector each time. And I still walked out with haloing on the bottom edges. I was convinced the Zagg was a POS. I did a little youtube searching and found a video recommendingHello everyone, this is my first post. But after finding such a great screen protector I had to stop lurking and post.

Went on easy as cake, no issues with the edges, and the FEEL IS AMAZING. It's also a lot thinner than the Zagg so even when I use the fingerprint scanner and the home button I can barely tell there is something on the screen. I would recommend this to anyone with this phone. It only really covers the actual screen not the whole glass but that's how they all are with the slight curve to the screen. Bottom line, get this screen protector!
Can you please post some photos?
yeah, OP some pics would be nice
in the mean time, i found this review on youtube. it just looks like every other glass SP on the market (except ones that have the colored borders). as you can see from this screen grab, it is noticeably smaller than the screen. there's just no way of covering the rounded edges of the S6 unless the glass is curved also. save yourself about $20 bucks and buy any of the ones on eBay. they're all probably made by the same manufacturer anyway

My nephew has a Zagg protector with no halo issues
Sent from my SM-G920T using XDA Free mobile app
Only reason that I buy Zagg is because I get a discount on them through BestBuy
When I Put mine on I did have some haloing issues, took some pressure on the screen but I eventually got it to stick. I am not a fan of how sharp the edges are on the zagg
Anyone try the Bodyguardz Pure with the Express Align tray?
I tried to install the Zagg yesterday and I screwed it up. My first attempt I lined up the screen protector to close to the bottom so the bottom had halos. By the time I took it off and reapplied it and figured out that the top cut out has to be as close as possible to the speaker, it was too late, the glue wasn't working as well the second go.
I will be buying a replacement at best buy and returning the halo unit. There simply are no specific instructions, I had to figure it out by trial and error and you really only get one shot at installing it perfectly. Honestly, they should just say line up the top ear piece as close as you can and there wouldn't be any issues. I will try it again and report back.
