Glass Screen Protectors - Note Edge Accessories

I figured that there would not be any glass screen protectors made for the Note Edge since it would be too difficult for manufacturers to produce.
However, I'm constantly searching the web in the hopes that some company does produce it. To my surprise, I found the following website(looks to be out of stock), but supposedly they are creating one:
http://www.techarmor.com/tech-armor...earest-screen-protector-retail-packaging.html
Let's help each other out and place any links for other Glass Protectors for the Note Edge that may come along in the future.

I have a feeling any glass screen protectors they make will not cover the edge screen

ebay has some
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anti-Explosion-Tempered-Glass-Film-Screen-Protector-for-Samsung-Note-Edge-/191413851195?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item2c9127943b
but they only cover the front and not the edge.
i doubt there will be any that will cover the edge anytime soon. Its going to be pretty hard to make it fit just right without a space between the screens.
Plastic protectors would have some give to them so it would bend over.

I agree but hope your wrong with today's technology someone should come up with one , if they do it will be expensive , finger's crossed meanwhile ups just dropped off my Note Edge , the only viable solution I found was a skinomi screen protector that wraps around the curve , unfortunately it cost me 20 buck's to have it 2 day shipped no Prime , go figure screen protector 7$ shipping 20 $ also waiting for my Fosman case from amazon should be here tomorrow , now if I could just get UAG to send me my case sooner then the 25 th , I really don't feel like taking a chance on taking the phone out , without a good screen protector and case .............:good:

Yea I had a fosman case order before I got the edge. It came in the day before I pick it up in store. I paid $4 on ebay.
I had screen protectors but they didn't cover the edge. So had to order some more.
I never had a glass screen protector before, since I always put a protectors on day one. But I must say I like the glass feel or the device. So I kinda hope they make a full glass protector.

Philly, did the skinomi work? I love bestscreensever but they will not be making any. I used them for years and years. My note 3 still have the original from Oct 2013 and still in great shape.

I have not used it yet ,picked up the nexus 6 yesterday been setting that up, plus very busy with work , however I have both skinomi protectors on my desk I'm hoping I have time later today to install, I'll let you know and post a few pictures as soon as I can..

I bought a universal screen protector from zagg and cut it to fit my note edge. The one I bought is bigger than the entire lcd on the phone and the zagg's don't try to stay flat so it wrapped around the edge display nicely.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PPSOT9U/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1418256139&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
I wonder how this will fit.. It's only a few bucks, guess I'll give it a shot, assuming it won't cover the edge, not sure how it will fit like that, but I guess we will find out.

What the he'll J currently unavailable......? Lol. Just teasing I'll give it a shot when it's available currently using the skinomi not bad bubble free you can barely tell it's on, but nothing beats glass

I'm thinking of getting a tempered glass protector for the flat screen and get the clear self healing ones everyone here talks about for the edge portion.
Trace the self healing protector with the the glass one and cut the edge part off the self healing one.
Apply the glass protector and then apply the cutout of the edge.
I tried looking for that glass protector on ebay but now it's gone. Anyone know where I can get more?

I too have the skinomi brand and am impressed with it. I also reviewed it on amazon. It fits perfectly and still has the finger print issue I mentioned on amazon. However I have also noticed a lot of screen errors in the form of inadvertent screen presses and zoom in/out while trying to scroll. Since I have had the screen protector since nearly day one I do not know if this is an issue with the phone itself or the barrier/drag of the skinomi material.
I do like the feel though. It is nearly un-noticeable.

The tech armor glass screen protector "coming soon" status reminds me of the subway just built near my house. when I was in freshman year of college and wife in high school, is when we first saw the "coming soon" sign. That was in 2005. they just finished building it last month and it's still not open for business, lol. That how I feel about this screen protector

I ordered Alien Surface HD front and rear. I'll tell you how good it is.

I wonder if there is an edge to edge screen for this one?

I installed the film on the screen, it fits very well, full size. Great care when installing! I am very satisfied. It remains to be seen how the resistance is.
Instructions must be followed strictly and installation kit helps a lot.

[Q] Clarivue Screen Protector

Has anyone used these Clairvue Screen Protectors for the G2? If so, how are they and did you get the ultra-clear or anti-glare?
I have the ultra-clear one and it is so clear I can't tell it's there. It's easy to apply, Looks great, and feels almost exactly like the glass underneath it. You can't even tell it's there. I highly recommend them.
10% off Coupon

just ordered one too
Ordered mine since I loved them on my Nexus One. I got the UltraClear as well!
I think I'm gonna order the privacy finish one.
I've been looking for a decent quality static cling screen protector. This one sounds pretty good. Does anyone have the Anti-Glare one? How does it look? Does it darken the screen much? Does it keep finger prints off?

I believe all anti-glare films, regardless of the brand, will do that and also decrease the clarity of the screen. It's just how they work.
I bought Clarivue ultra clear the same time i ordered my otterbox, the otterbox screen protector was really good. But the Clarivue protector is amazing, install was not hard at all. I did an amazing job installing it no bubbles or lint at all. I showed the phone to my friend and he couldn't believe that i had a screen protector on. The cut is perfect covers the whole screen. When you install it make sure you put some tape on the edges, it will be easier to align the protector. i took pics of the phone with the screen protector on, i was just trying to show that no lint is present.
These protectors are awesome. No one could tell that I even have a screen protector on! They fit extremely well and feel exactly like the glass, unlike zagg or similar which gives you a rubbery feel and creates more friction than anything else (annoying as hell if you use swype). Highly recommend!
Been using them for years, love them, thats all I buy for my devices, thats the first thing I do when I get a new device is get the Clarivue screen protector.
Just ordered the Ultra Clear screen protector.
Free world wide shipping!
just orderd one to my mobile to, its so easy to put on in the video i saw. thx for the coupon 2
i recived mine today. its pretty good but the ****ing problem that annoys me is that its not exactly cut!! it doesnt cover the whole screen... is urs perfect fit or should i contact them?
i have the clarivue anti-glare and its decent but this is probably the second anti-glare ive ever bought for a phone so i don't have much experience with them. compared to the first one i bought from tmobile its definitely an upgrade... fingerprints are visible after a while and the screen is diminished a bit but overall i do like it. the cut isn't perfect as it doesn't cover certain areas completely but i mean its like a millimeter off.

I had to take off the ultra clear screen protector, because it got scratched up. Could not stand all the scratches. I installed the second one, but its not a perfect fit like the first clarivue protector. Im not sure why the second was was not a perfect fit, but i will leave it on.
Does anyone have a new coupon code?

Alright I got the new code, just ordered the Anti-Glare screen protector.
I'm pretty satisfied with the ultra clear protector, so now i'm trying these out.
Dratz, I should have checked this forum before I bought mine, haha.

I'll let you guys know if its any good.
I,was waiting for HTC Desire Z screen protectors to hit the market because I can't order anything...
after 3 months of use my screen protector started to loose (mostly because of the dust i got between the display glass and the protector when i mounted it)
i have dropped keys and a heavy metallic cigarette lighter on my phone while i had my screen protector on and i noticed when removed it today that my screen looked as it did when my phone were brand new
Mounted the new protector today (since i got 2 when i ordered it) without getting any dust particles under it and it still looks brand new
Too bad the rest of my phone starts to look quite used

Tempered glass vs. plastic screen protector

I have been a long time user of the $10 3 pack of plastic film protectors you can get on amazon, they work fine however after a few months they get scratched, hold tons of fingerprints and need to be replaced. What I'm wondering is would a tempered glass screen protector necessarily have any better fingerprint resistance or scratch resistance vs the plastic or is the only real advantage the fact the the tempered glass will shatter if dropped and not your phones screen. I'm considering the zagg glass only because of the free replacement. I previously used their invisible shield on a nexus 7 and was not impressed at all but am willing to give them another try only because of the free replacement.
I've tried many plastic screen protectors and I used to have the same issue after a while they would track tons of fingerprints and wear down. I tried out the iLoome 8H Hardness Premium Screen Protector with Oleophobic Coating for the LG G2 and LG G3 and it's amazing. I feel like it helps against the fingerprints and scratches.
I was previously a hater of screen protectors (because of the plastic ones) until I realized how anal I could be over micro scratches on my actual screen. Once I noticed one, I bought a glass screen protector for the first time. Was the Caribu on Amazon. I failed to apply it correctly because it was a first time thing but I still loved the feel, thought it was great & left it on for a couple weeks. I ordered the Bepak tempered glass on eBay which ships from China. Lined it up perfect first try and the adhesive slowly migrated across my screen leaving no bubbles. It's smoother and resist fingerprints better than the naked glass. No scratches yet.
In short, tempered glass screen protectors are the only reason I can even say I like screen protectors.

I love my zagg glass. I too had issues with scratches on the others.
Fortunately I have not had this one break. My buddy has broken 3 and received replacements no issues

I always used the lesser destructible protectors from zagg skins or clearcoat etc. With this device I decided I try out the zagg tempered glass and I don't think I would ever go back to any other screen protector. They give you added protection and are super clear! Definitely worth the extra investment
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.
Stay away from the Bodyguardz tempered glass screen protector. It has sensitivity issues. Hopefully AT&T takes mine back when the new one I ordered from Spigen gets here.
I have the XtremeGuard Spartan Tempered Glass screen protector. It feels like glass, it seems to be just as sensitive, and it's not cloudy like some matte screen protectors are. There are only 2 things wrong with it: the top-right corner refuses to adhere, and it normally costs $50. I got it during a 90% off sale so it cost me $5 (totally worth it), but there's no way I would ever spend more than $10 on this thing. $5 was about right.

My local at&t wouldn't take mine back
Thankfully the sensitivity issue has gotten better with use. But it still messes up from time to time. I did get it 50% off, as well as my otter box case, so I guess I can't complain too much.
Side note: I'm not sure if I'm the only one that does this but I get the otter box defender and I actually pop out their "screen protector" and use a glass screen protector with it. Looks nice and feels protected

You are not the only one. I popped mine out too. Did the same on my S3.
I has the screen sensitivity issue when I first put the zagg on. I haven't noticed it lately however. Could be that I've just completely forgotten about it or it genuinely could have gotten better.
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.
Wanted to chime in that I am also having issues with the Bodyguardz tempered screen protector. Traded a s5 for the g3 (So happy I did) and I've noticed things will get selected when I'm trying to scroll. Then other times I have to select something multiple times to get it to work. Driving me nuts.
Zagg Tempered Glass
Figured I'd add my 2 cents I've had my Zagg glass on about a month and it has been absolutely flawless.. and like the video shows.. that sumbitch will not scratch. Its got those hard plastic covers beat by a mile. I'd swear by it.. Once you put on a Zagg glass protector.. you'll kick yourself for ever having messed with others.
Sensitivity : 10
Clarity : 10
Ease of application : 10
and its lifetime gauranteed ... will be on every phone I ever use from the g3 on out :good:
I bought ZeroLemon Tempered Glass and love it. Simple to install and feels great. Never going back plastic screen covers. For 8.99 plus .69 cents for S/H cant beat it.
Wanted to update, I went to best buy and bought the zagg glass one and it's great. Way better then the bodyguardz. No finicky screen issues and not as thick so cases fit just fine. I have to agree with dlbcell.
Zagg Glass +1
Just thought I would chime in and say the Zagg Glass is amazing and I would rec it to anyone. Just as a plus, show this at any bestbuy and you can get it for 22 bucks. Now that is worth it 100%. Would have gladly paid 40 bucks for it if I hadent found this.

Thanks for the link. I had cracked the glass screen protector I had on my G3 and I have been in the market for a Zagg one due to their lifetime guarantee. Can't pass up that price!

I had the same issue with Bodyguards. At intermittent times parts of the touchscreen failed to respond to touch. Going to make a complaint and see if I can get my money back or at least a credit on my bill. I have since put on a Zagg Glass and have not noticed the issue...and it actually feels better for swyping.
I swear by Realook protectors. Sure, they're plastic, but they are the best fitting and best feeling I have found. Crystal clear and no orange peel or rubbery drag. I tried the Ziess glass cover on my g2 and could never get over the combination of the extra thickness at the edges and that cases either lifted it or eventually just plan broke it.
You have fingers, you will put prints on anything.
I'll never buy another plastic screen protector. Glass is the way to go..
Its like Cassette tapes vs CD's there's no contest...
I get mine of Amazon and pay between 5 and 10 dollars ..

I think if they do, even the glass protector would need to have curve. 2.5D display of Note4/5 or edge display of the Edge variant wouldn't be covered completely otherwise. And even if they come up with something like that, I would assume the price would be too high..
I hope skinomi makes this for the edge +

Looks nice but no brand name to research reviews to see how it well it covers so 25 from a unnamed company that ships directly from China is definitely too much!
Plus paying $25 and you may get the screen protector between now and Halloween.
I got the skinomi screen protector. I guess this is the best selling on amazon for this phone, but i dont recommend it. There are plastic indentations of on the screen, its wet install so no bubble, but its a nightmare to install, cos even if u wet install it, and squeeze out the water with a squeezee, the skin wont stay on the screen.

Waiting for spigen or some other known brand to come up with a curved tampered glass screen protector.
I figured $25 to protect my $850 phone until a better cheaper version is available was worth the chance to me. Trust me I wish there were more options but that is not the case right now

Either you got a defective one or you are not experienced installing a wet apply protector.

Take pics and tell us if it fully covers when you get it?
Finally, it will come out with perfect match to the edge+ or something.
The one I ordered shipped today. I also noticed a bunch of new people selling similar tempered glass edge to edge protectors on ebay.
I've also ordered Skinomi and yes,it's wet install and kind of tricky but luckily I was able to have a successful install. It's kind of soft and rubbery feel, but not much that cause worry or distraction. I'm actually loving it.
I've got the same one (skinomi) on my phone. Installation was a breeze. No bubbles or peelings, but I do hate the fact that there are some dust on the edges of the screen protector, none on the screen tho. I also hate the rubbery feeling, but for now it will have to do until I can get my hands on the tempered sp. I almost always go with the Zagg tempered glass, since it features a lifetime warranty.

I would have to Agree i used the Skinomi on my Note 4 edge ,most people couldn't believe I had a screen protector on it it was that hard to see, and the curve on the note4 edge is a lot more of and angle .........just my 2 cent's , just a tip for those that are using any type of wet application I would suggest you get a bowl , like a large salad bowl fill it half way with water and then add a few drop's of dish detergent not too much , it allow's you to get your finger's and the screen protector evenly wet and if you see a hair or a piece of dirt or whatever just pull it off submerge the screen protector to get what ever that was either on the screen or on the protector or the screen and start over again , ever since I saw this tip from somewhere here on XDA it's never failed three different phones and perfection ..........:good:
I just put on the techfilm dry install and it wouldn't show in a picture that's how thin it is. No bubbles full coverage, had to use a flashlight to make sure it was on. Best protector I've ever used on any phone. Oh and no rubber feeling like I've heard about others

Scratches? Screen Protection?

I've always used a tempered glass on phones... no matter how much I take care the glass always seems to get micro-scratches which drive me up the wall....
I take really good care of my phones, I don't even use a case on most phones and have never dropped or broken a phone.
My question goes out to the guys who have S7e, N7, anything with a curvature really.. how do you protect the screen? Do you need to?
Do you find that the screen itself is scratch resistant enough? More so than tempered glass protectors?
I know there are form fit protectors now, but I read a LOT of bad reviews about them. I'm worried about buying the S8+ because of the super curvy edges.
Usually screen protectors don't work very well with curved screen, as you might know.
JerryRigEverything made a video about it being super easy to scratch, but he made an error and used wrong type (afaik) and in fact Gorilla Glass 5 was pretty much durable from easy scratches like keys etc.
Am waiting for this to be back in stock. Betting on Otter this time.

I own the S7 Edge and have tried a variety of screen protectors. Glass Ones are difficult to fit, but I have found several that have been adequete. Not perfect but ok. There have also been a few very good plastic screen protectors that worked exceptionally well - Spigen had a CURVED glass screen protector that was excellent and Body Glove also had one that was very good.
I have seen a few on Amazon that look like they are going to be ok - and none of them, even the glass ones are too expensive. You may have to do some trial and error to find the one you like the best, but I am confident you will find something that works. I know I will.
Skinomi wate install protector normally works. The only problem i have is after a few months the edges will get dirty.
They sell some really stickey flim protectors. But those sratch very easy.
I always put a protector on my phones because things can always happen no matter how careful you are.

When I got my S7 edge last year I tried a few curved screen protectors and was disappointed with them, eventually they all peeled off. (Reluctantly) I have not used a screen protector since and can honestly say my screen looks as good as day one. When I get my S8+ (Very soon I hope ) I wont be using a screen protector unless something outstanding comes to the market.
I got a tempered glass kit that should be here soon, with a case. I also picked up the Strada series Otterbox, I will likely use the Strada case, as it will fully protect the phone, and still look nice, this way I dont have to worry about micro scratches.
I have owned an edge mobile since the day they where released, I NEVER found a satisfactory solution to protecting the screen with any sort of screen saver and I tried dozens. S6 edge, S6 edge+ Note 7 and S7 edge. Its been hell. I have found some that have been 'okay' until one uses a case then they start to peel off. Some have glue only around the edges and eventually allow micro dust in between the saver and screen. The plastic membrane sort have been an equal nightmare.
If you read the numerous posts on this subject in the various Edge forum here you will soon learn that going without can and will save you a headache. I use a flip case. I used the Samsung LED flip case on both my Note 7's and have pre ordered the same case for the S8+
Those edges are pigs to protect with a saver. The Note 7 Used Samsung own skin and they where still a disaster.
Now the good news. To date and all these years latter never even got a micro scratch on the screen. Having said that if one drops ones mobile.......
I use a flip case and that appears to be the only solution I have found to this situation. BTW even those glass screen savers that only cover the flat part of the screen are not so good as they make such an ugly mess of a beautiful screen, some of them do work though.
I understand the edges on the S8's are the most acute to date so though I can't foresee the future I am still not confident a full screen saver will be found. Lets hope it doesn't prove a problem. I, for one, wont even try and cover the screen, way to much hassle.

I have both the note 7 and s7 edge and have had zero luck with glass protection.
There are several plastic protectors i used which worked fine but i hate the feel so peeled them off.
Running both naked now and no issues.

I bought a 2-pack of the shark proof wipe on liquid. I'll try this this time over a screen protector:

Last time with the gs7 edge, I got my screen protector from Best buy. They use some kind of machine that has exact dimension of the phone and they install it. This was the perfect screen protector , that i ever got. Note it's plastic so, it will feel not so good. This time i'm planning the same thing if best buy offers it.

Skinomi wate install protector normally works. The only problem i have is after a few months the edges will get dirty.
They sell some really stickey flim protectors. But those sratch very easy.
I always put a protector on my phones because things can always happen no matter how careful you are.

I've been using Skinomi for a good while and my edges are pretty clean still (but this is on a flat screened phone). I'm hoping that it stays like that for the S8+ on the curved screen.
The other issue besides fit is how the screen looks with them on. I have never been able to find a plastic protector that doesn't mess with the quality of the screen. It's such a beautiful screen I hate to put something on that messes that up.

Please let us know how that works out; or if it's just expensive snake oil?
The note 7`s gg5 was excellent and as I was returning both I went naked, and they looked perfect after a couple of months of abuse! I do have gg3 on another phone but sadly it hasn't held up so well.
Put it this way on previous phones I've probably spent around £100 or more trying to find a perfect protector.....its cheaper to buy insurance and claim on it than suffer with crappy screen protectors.

Official OnePlus 6 Tempered Glass Protector. How does it Fare?

Now that people are starting to receive their phones and accessories from OnePlus, I am very curious to hear people's thoughts on the official tempered glass protector offered from OnePlus.
Specifically, how does it fit with the OEM cases OnePlus offers. Most importantly, does it fit with the thicker OnePlus Bumper cases?
The good news, according to OnePlus's official install video posted on their website, it does look like it fully adheres to the screen.

Looking forward to feedback before I place an order for one to potentially replace the pre-applied plastic screen protector.

I don't get my phone until later today, so I can not confirm until then. But the two different customer service reps I talked to guaranteed the TGP works with the OEM bumper cases. They said the only case it isn't compatible with is the outterbox case.

Looking forward to your results! If it does fit with the OEM bumper case (specifically the Nylon bumper case for me) I'll use my $20 promo voucher to order the glass protector as well.
I will say the preapplied plasic protector surprised me.wkth how good it feels. I usually do a glass protector but once I get my I will probably leave the plasitc on to see how it wears. Be good for the long term review since most on even know it's there at first

Hi all,
Hope you've not forgotten me! I'm back. I went down to the London launch as I was super excited to see the OnePlus 6 in person and I've now got my hands on the phone and the official tempered glass. So as I have done every year, I'm going to be testing out as many accessories that I can get my hands on, starting with the Official Tempered Glass Screen Protector!
Feel free to watch the video to get all this information, or just scroll down and read it if you prefer!
Some of you wonder why take of the pre-applied factory screen? Well for me, it's all about finding the best protection for your device and from experience the pre-applied screen is not that. It's a nice bonus, as if you're not buying the official you'll have to wait around a week or so before third party manufacturers get screens ready for sale. Mine was also riding slightly high on the screen, which meant using it whilst having gestures turned on was a bit of a nightmare.
As usual the screen protector, comes well packaged, with some excellent tools- most of which you won't need if you're taking the pre-applied screen off and then putting this one on straight away.
The screen protector as with the last few years comes on a single slab of plastic/glass, which you will need to be careful off when you're removing the screen protector from it. I've seen many people CRACK their screen protector at this point. Don't be that person! Go slow, but surely. And for goodness sake once you've peeled it off, don't turn it around and let all the dust particles in your house get on it!
The screen protector fits nicely on the phone and feels pretty decent. High quality!
Postives -
- Feels good
- Looks good
- Fits with the free case
Negatives -
- Finger print magnet - seriously, had it on for a few minutes and it was covered.
- Still has the black border, so you DO still get a 3D effect where you're missing an (admittedly small) portion of your screen
- Hardest OP screen protector I've ever put on.
Let me know if you have any questions on it, and I'll endeavor to keep you all updated on how it functions!
Thanks!
^ Dang! I can't believe how difficult it was for him to remove the bubbles with that protector. And in the end it still had a bubble that kept returning. This sure did make me glad I opted not to pay extra for that tempered glass protector. It's almost as if it doesn't have strong enough adhesive.
Regardless, I plan on sticking with the pre-applied screen protector for a bit before making a decision on a glass protector. In fact, if the pre-applied protector holds up well, I may not ever bother taking it off. I must say that it would be really nice to finally get a phone and never even worry about spending money on a screen protector, or trying to perfectly apply one, for that matter.
I just hope my pre-applied protector isn't positioned too high, as the above video reviewer mentioned his was.
unfortunately my preapplied screen protector is a tiny bit too high for my taste too, so when swiping up with gestures enabled you can feel the slight edge :/
I really hope whitedome is going to bring a TGSP for the OP6 on the market

Thanks for this! Your videos are always great when it comes to these things. Keep up the great work!
Do you think the bit the pops up might simply be just because of the curvature of the screen towards the corner?
(curved screened phones are always a nightmare when it comes to putting screen protectors on). If the underside of the screen protector is curved aswell in order to fit the curved screen of the device, even a fraction of difference can cause these kinds of problems, whereas flat ones you can even get away with them positioned slightly off, and they will always sit down perfectly flat.
Can you confirm whether the curvature of the OnePlus 6's screen is just around the edges, or is it the whole of the front that is actually curved?
(If you see what I mean).
I could be wrong, but from what I can see on the video, it does almost look like it's the whole screen that is rounded and not just the edges (but it's hard to tell from a video, so can't know for sure)

My pre-applied protector only lasted an hour on mine. The edges don't stick enough to avoid random lint and dust from sliding just a bit underneath it. Also the swipe up gestures from the bottom of the phone feel weird as you bump the protector. I'm not sure but I think it's because the protector is a bit thick.

That’s a shame. My phone arrives today and we leave for Mexico tomorrow for a week. I was hoping the pre-applied protector would be perfect. The edges of it are probably going to look like garbage by the time we get back.
the protective film, can not attach clean and then Euro 22, so I can not recommend. Shade for the money

What?
I really like the TGP. It fits seamlessly with the nylon case where the edges go all the way to the case and it feels completely natural. I thought the black outlining would bother me, but it works really well with the phone. I highly recommend the OEM TGP. No issues with it being compatible with the bumper case.
I have read on a Dutch forum that there is only glue on the edges of the screen protector. The middle is coated with some sort of oil so you won't see any bubbles.
This would explain the YouTube video with the corner not sticking. Could somebody confirm this?
This is a problem with all "curved edge" phones. Really makes me wish Samsung did not have as much sway in the market as they do. We would still have flat screens!

More importantly, how difficult was it to get a bubble free install?

The tempered glass screen protector from OnePlus has adhesive throughout the entire protector, not just around the sides. Watch an install video and you'll see.

It wasn't to bad. There were a couple of stubborn small bubbles, but it you press and hold on them for a second or two with the included tool they go right away. I have a completely bubble free TGP that took maybe 2 minutes to put on

Well crap. Now I wish I went ahead and ordered the protector with the phone. Now I've got to get through a week in Mexico with the pre-applied protector and hope it doesn't peel up until I get back.
Ordering the TGSP from OnePlus right now. Thanks for your input.
Just installed it and it looks great in my opinion! Wasn't that hard. If you apply it with the included case on, it helps a ton with lining it up; you literally just need to drop it into place.
I did get a couple pieces of dust underneath but they are super small and hardly noticeable, so I don't want to risk lifting the protector to remove it (risking more dust to get under) (or risking losing adhesion).
It does have a bit of that "3D look" but I got used to it very quick and now I don't notice it.
If there is text way at the edge of the screen, it does slightly get cut off but luckily most apps/websites don't have text that close to the edge.
Overall it's a solid protector and I'm probably going to stick with it until the end of its life (unless it cracks or something of course lol).
