HELP ME ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Unfortunately, if you didn't have the contacts backed up off your device, on your sim card, or on a cloud service like Google I'm afraid they are lost. They would not be backed up on a nandroid.

Carbon Backup Problem

EDIT: I've decided to post this in an SGS3 forum instead. Can you please delete this thread? Thanks.
Hello, I'm having an issue with my Galaxy S3. I made a backup today before updating and I also reformated and wiped my phone completely. I tried restoring from Carbon (from internal and sd memory, I copied off of the computer) and at first from the SD card it worked, then it stopped. It didn't work anymore. It just got stuck at restoring. I uninstalled the app, cleared cache, restarted, even recopied all the data again. The data that previously had copied, stopped when I tried to restore again. It just gets stuck at restoring. Then if I leave it it says that it had sent a log to the developer. What can I do? I want to restore my data :-\. I'm not rooted. Just using stock Android latest build from DBT.
Any ideas? Please! I can't figure this one out :-\.
Thanks in advance.

[Completed] [Q] Baseband/IMEI missing after rom manager restore

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (I-747) Using Rom Manager for first time I backed up and immediately checked how the restore would work. Lots of stop errors after restore so went back to boot menu for recovery and that worked. First I noticed sim card didn't work and no IMEI number ATT told me. There is no baseband either or any kind of IMEI backed up. Found a factory restore from one of these XDA forums. Process worked but no baseband and cant use sim still. Not bricked yet but want to learn more because i want custom rom knowledge.
Hi,
Here is a similar thread you can read through and hopefully it helps... You could post there also,

I own a Galaxy Grand 2 and I use CWM for backup and restore alot while switching between roms, tho I sometimes happen to have the same problem as yours
But I managed to fix it whith a wipe data/Factory Reset after the restore is completed the n boot into the system yoy restored and then do an advance restore for data only but don't wipe anything this time!
This should help you if you still face the same problem consider changing/Upgrading your costume recovery or reflash your original firmware (usind odin) to clean the phone up (but make sure yoy don't downguard your firmware as it may softbrike your phone)
Hit the Thanks button If I helped you!
thanks for your advice. but unfortunately it didnot work for me.
i tried the way you explaint the process.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S3 Sprint - Problems restoring stock rom Backup (TWRP)

Phone was originally bone stock, I then rooted & installed TWRP recovery, booted into TWRP and did the Backup option and saved it to SD Card, I then flashed CM 12.1 and used it for a little over a month, trying the various Nightly updates.
I decided to go back to the stock rom I had backed up previously, It restores successfully but when I boot the phone everything is crashing once it hits the home screen, "Unfortunately xxxx has stopped" is seen over and over, I can't load anything, even the settings menu crashes.
I then tried rebooting into TWRP and did Factory reset but when I do this It wont ever get past the Samsung logo on reboot.
Not sure what went wrong with the backup or if Im missing a step, I also tried enabling the verify MD5 check option for the Backup and it says everything is fine.
For now I'm back in CM 12.1, Any ideas appreciated!
Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Your device has a dedicated forum and within that forum you have a Q&A section specifically for your device.
Please try searching within this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-sprint/help and I am sure others have previously experienced the same thing.
You will find the device experts for your Sprint S3 there.
Within that forum you could also find a stock rooted Rom and download and flash that. You do need to know exactly what boot loader your device is running.
Good luck

[Completed] Help with restoring backup from TWRP

Hi everyone. I recently installed cyanogenmod 13 on my s4, only to find a Google play services error every few seconds. So I decided to flash Gapps 6.0 to resolve the issue. Unfortunately I got a new pop-up, "setup wizard has stopped" which rendered my phone useless. I had no choice but to reset my phone and reinstall cm13 and Gapps 6.0. My last resort backup attempt to save my stuff was a twrp backup. Now I want to restore my data, but it will also restore my broken rom that makes my phone unusable. Can anybody please help me find a way to restore my data without restoring the broken cm13.. I'll go back to cm12.1 that I was running before if need be. Thank you all so much in advance.

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
You can try restoring the /data partition only. It's recommended to do a clean flash when you move to CM13 from CM12.1
