Really dig the swing lockscreen on Flex 1. Any way to port it over to our Flex 2?
I would really like to get this as well! Can we just grab the apk from the flex 1 and overwrite it?

hi guys on the desire s, is there two different size flex cables for the lcd and digitizer cables? one big one small
Yes there are two?!
HI,
Just to follow on, there is 2, they are different sizes, the slightly larger one is for the LCD and the smaller one is for the digitiser.
Hope this helps,
Doug
i no this but i enquired to somebody about cos of the lcd and digitizer already fixed together and the came back with two prices, one for big flex connector one fir small. is it to do with different type of lcd??
So the Lappy is great, finally something for my partner to do her Tafe courses on
and now the xperia, I knew he said it either needed a new flex cable or touch screen digitizer but I honestly don't know which it needs.
The screen changes portrait to landscape fine when you slide it out so the flex cable must be fine? But the screen is all spazzy and acts all crazy wlike i'm touching it all over and the touch screen itself is buggy, sometimes you can notice the touch working and sometimes you can't.
Think it is worth the 20-40 bucks~ to replace both the digitizer and flex cable?

I think as all devices using flex cable you have a chance to broke it sometime in the future, but not as fast as a Sony device, it depends also on how much you care your device, i have 3 months with my shield playing and flying my drone all time and i don't have any kind of white screen either problems with the screen because of flex.

I bought mine from a guy on ebay that said it would not power up. Since I am a tech i figure I could fix. it. For 40 bucks I figure win win.. Turns out the unit powers fine and works great all the time on HDMI. The issue is the flex cable is bad and screen back light comers on but there is no image. Sometimes if you open it just right and stop at the right point it will work. But close it and good luck getting the display to come up again. Due to how new these are I am having a tough time finding a new cable or LCD since the cable is actually part of the LCD. So it is up to you but I think some of the units out there have inferior cables.

oh snap, flying a drone? Hadn't thought of that application. What's a good drone to look for, and any concerns/issues with the one you own?

I use the parrot ar drone 2.0 with the official shield aplication to fly it, and its the best option to beggin on the drone world the problem is that you will expend like $400 for a drone plus more batteries if you want to have a lot of fun, the aplication is 100% compatible with the shield you can do flips and record video at 720p search at youtube flying drone with nvidia shield and you will see what im talking about
Hi guys,
Was just using Phonearena's phone size comparison tool and noticed that the Flex 2 appears to be very thin (discounting the radius). The thickness states that it is around 9.4mm thick though, which is thicker than the G3. The tool makes the G3 appear to be MUCH thicker than the Flex 2. Seeing as I have my sold my G3 and am in the market for a new phone, I am considering the Flex 2 but of course thickness does come into it, especially since the plastic build would already be a compromise.
Would any Flex 2 owners be able to shed light on this matter?
Cheers guys
It's a little bit thicker than my samsung galaxy s5 was.
Having never seen a g3 that wasn't mounted to an anti-theft device I wouldn't be able to give you an accurate comparison but I would say that it's not annoyingly thick.
Similar in size but the curve make it feel thinner. The g3 did feel bulker but i think it was due to the phone not bending. I had both at one time. I still kept my g3 but returned the flex2 . I think the problems i had with the device was probably do to it being the first batch. I heard the issues have been fixed with a update. I enjoyed my time with the phone for the most part. If you liked the g3 this phone is a win in my book. I wish mine didn't over heat real bad or i would of kept it.

Personally, i'd stick with the zf2 delux. That was my last phone. As for issues, I can list the ones I've had with the zf2d.
lol
Ghost touch
Yeah, I was wearing jeans and i'm under the impression that I bent the frame. I just replaced the digitizer and it worked like a charm.
Replacement Screens are brittle
I've replaced my screen many times.
USB port
Eventually the usb port craps out and charging becomes trivial. Replacing the bottom board that houses the usb port didnt work. Tries 3 different boards.
Eventually the last leg was when I wiped my cache, it somehow nuked the bootloader which should be an easy fix but..... yeah, no usb.
