[Q] Flashed N5 but still doesnt fix my issue HELP!! - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there,
My phone froze so I went to restart it and it started backup but got as far and the start up animation and would go any farther. I tried wiping cache first, that didn't work, then I tried to wipe/factory reset, thinking that would work but it didn't, So then I tried to flash it back to stock. When I flashed it to stock for the newest kitikat OS 5.1.0 it just stayed in boot loop, so then I tried to go to an older version like 4.4.4 and it works, at least I thought it did. I used method 2 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701 and everything went fine but when I went back into recovery mode it showed me this msg :
E:can t mount/cache/recovery/command
E:can t mount/cache/recovery/log
E:can t open /cache/recovery/command
E:can t mount/cache/recovery/last_log
E:can t open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:can t mount/cache/recovery/last_install
E:can t open /cache/recovery/last_install
still allowed me to factory reset and then reboot system, but when I start up error messages come up for camera, hangouts, playstore etc. saying they wont respond. Also I think doing all this it has fried my SIM card because I have no service and cannot find service providers in search. It asks me if I want to update to newest OS but I wont because I know I'll just end up back in bootloop.
So I'm asking anyone out there have you ever had this issue and if so please help me fix it!!!!!!!
Thank you,
Chappy!

Flash factory images. Lollipop, the la test. It will reset everything and should fix.

[Q] Inspire 4G Can't mount /cache/recovery

So I have been looking everywhere, all over the internet for a solution to my problem and this is my final attempt before I send it into mobile tech videos for repair. about a week ago my phone randomly got stuck in bootloop, so I went in and flashed and updated version of coredroid, which worked at first but froze a few minutes in. after that I formatted everything except sd card, did factory reset, etc.. and tried to reflash the rom, no cigar. I ended up reformatting my sd card and reverting back to cwm from 4ext touch and tried to reflash stock rom which did not work either. and each time I go in to try to do anything it says:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
A few minutes ago I ended up successfully flashing CM7, but it ended up getting stuck in bootloop again anyways... :-(
Any help would be much appreciated!!
1. recovery.fstab is wrong.
2. change the same device recovery
3.update the recovery Kernel
So you have been looking all over the internet and still didnt post in your devices forum. Thread closed

[Q] Can't unmount/format/wipe the /cache partition SAMSUNG GALAXY SL I9003

Hi All,
I have been flashing back and forth to try things out on my Samsung Galaxy SL. Today, I attempted to restore back to RemICS and it hung for over an hour, so I hard restarted it. Now, I can't restore anything, because it hangs on the /cache partition. I also receive the message while in recovery mode
Quote:
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I have attempted factory reset, manual formatting, and wipe cache, all to no avail (they all just hang).
I am running CWM 6.x.x.x
Can I use ODIN to restore back to its GB OEM unrooted. If poosible show me the links and threads. or any other stable ROM for SL in ICS or JB
Please help. I am paralyzed without my phone.

Hi, first flash pit file with checking repartition option using Odin and then flash factory firmware.. Then this issue should get resolved. After that as usual you can flash any ROM.
Hit Thanks if I have helped you...

i think your partition is corrupted due to flash script is formating the partition than hang.
just flash to stock from PIT will help.

[A510] Bootloop, can´t install any rom

hello there, i have a serious problem:
i had my a510 with unlocked bootloader and had the CM11 rom installed...so far, so good: all of a sudden when reading a PDF, it shut down, rebooted, went into a bootloop showing the acer logo.
i had also CWM installed, tried EVERYTHING there to erease cache and stuff like that..nothing worked it started flashing a different rom...no success...
i´ve already installed TWPR 2.7.0.0....worked until the point where i wanted to install a new rom...installing works, saying "successful" but in the lower left corner it says:
E: error opening ' /data/tf '
E: error: I/O error

can anybody help me please?! this is driving me insane!!
EDIT1:
i tried formatting DATA....after 5 minutes still no luck....it keeps "formatting data". could this be the reason for everything?!
EDIT2:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data
did the trick!!!! i went back to TWRP, wiped DATA, no errors in /data/tf this time...clean installed CM11...and now it works again
Try to flash back CWM, format every partition (via the advanced menu)
and then flash a ROM like CM11

only moving to ADB and sending the --wipe data helped me.

Cant get in to recovery and os.

Hi. I had cyanogenmod 12.1 20151114 . It showed me that i have updates and i downloaded them and flashed them. Then i got errors like "unfortunately google play services (or something like that) has stopped" ok. I wiped the /system, /cahce, /davlik and /data. Reflashed cm 13 20151202 and the error showed again. After several tries the error didnt pop on. I decided to install gapps. Downloaded open gapps micro or something like that for marshmallow and flashed it. Then i got a error showing "setup wizard has stopped". Those errors was endless. Then i wiped the /system partition trough fastboot. Then i tried to flash a rom or wipe through recovery and it showed an error that /system and /cache is missing. Then i tried to set factory settings through fastboot and now i cant get in to recovery. The recovery i have is TWRP v2.8.6.0.
How can i fix it?
I cant get in to os.
Can get in to custom recovery.
When wiping using the twrp recovery shows that unable to mount /system.
Can use fastboot. And use it trough the pc using usb.
I got in to the os.

I installed cm 13 20151202. Booted in and it works perfectly. But i want gapps. I know if i install them i will get the endless errors saying "setup wizard has stopped working" . Im afraid to flash gapps because i know that if i flash i wont be able to wipe /system cause when i wipe using the recovery in the proccess of wiping the phone shuts off and tries to normally boot. While the os is not wiped.
