Hi guys. New here so I greatly appreciate any help y'all can give. Just bought a new honor 6 16gb all the standard specs but when I record videos on Snapchat, they show up on other peoples screens with a green blur on the bottom half but not my own. Apparently its starting to happen when I send videos on viber too. any idea on how to fix this? Thank you in advance!!

I am having the exact same problem. Since the problems occurs across several apps - then I guess it's something wrong with the video encoding software/drivers/firmware on the phone - and not a problem with the apps themselves?

I have this same problem too, its really bugging me now. It never used to happen and now its come out of nowhere.
Maybe its got something to do with the EMUI 3.0 update because when I was on EMUI 2.3 this never used to happen. ive contacted huawei and they havent got back to me, its really annoying

I am experiencing a very annoying problem with my Samsung Google Nexus S GT-i9023 (pearl white). Everything works fine except the NFC chip.
Every time, I try to turn on the NFC chip in the wireless menu, immediately the message "An error occurred" appears. So the NFC chip won`t turn on at all. No reboot, stock recovery (wipe internal storage etc.) could solve the issue.
Background information:
My Nexus S is 3 days old. It came out of the box with Android 2.3.3. I updated immediately after the first boot to 2.3.4 via OTA! I didn't check it with 2.3.3. Around the net are a lot of people experiencing the same(!) problem. No matter if it is a i9020 or a i9023. Also some people say, that it worked before with 2.3.3 and after updating to 2.3.4 NFC stopped working. I not able to verify this information.
Well meanwhile my Nexus S is at Samsung Germany service partner, called Bitronic Service Line. The guys called me some days ago, to inform me, that they don't know how to fix it. The placed an issue at Samsung Germany itself, so Bitronic is awaiting now reply from Samsung.
My question to xda-developers forum users:
Are you invovled in such a problem? Do you know a working fix? Probably sb. heard something about a defective production lot or maybe about udapting problems via OTA?
By the way, for more information, my and other Nexus S users story, can be read in the android forum. Just search via google for "Nexus S NFC error". It is issue nb. 13581. Sry but since I have only a few posts, the board rules does not allow me to post external links. Sry for that.

Same problem here. Sent my nexus s i9023 also to bitronic germany a week ago. Still waiting for a reply.
I tried alot ROM's (cyanogen, MIUI, nscolab etc.) and kernel's. Nothing helped. So I think this is a hardware problem.
According to a callback of Bitronic (Samsung Germany's contractual Service Partner), my problem could be identified as an hardware bug. They told me, that they replaced a specific part. Which exactly, I don't know.
I´ll get my phone back in around 2-3 days. Then I will post an final statement.
just got my nexus s back. everything is working properly again, so it was definitely a hw bug. From my side the problem is solved.
If someone is experiencing further problems with de- and activating the NFC chip, keep going on with reporting here.

Got my SNS back today. NFC is now working. Seems so that samsung has found the bug.

It's been a while since i visited these boards. Sadly I'm faced with a problem that may make me go back to some stock 2.3.3 ROM.
I've got the CM10 on my P500, used it for months, was quite happy with it (tho didn't really play around much with it).
Well, untill around 2 weeks ago when my phone stopped playing ringtones, making me miss calls when i was sitting right next to it. Quite annoying, tried changing all known setting that could cause this. It did vibrate on vibrate-only mode, except for that no results.
Finally today I got fed up with things, restored default settings and behold, now the phone doesn't even display incoming calls. Though they do show up later in missed calls. All of this is crazy :silly:
So, my questions are. Did anybody else get this problem? Any new version of the ROM or patch to fix this? Should I just find myself some old sure-proof ROM, cause I don't even play around with all the new 4.1.2 toys?
Anyways, I'm awaiting your replies. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Hi! Until yesterday i was using Bytecode's ParanoidDroid 3.15 (nice JB 4.2 rom, thanks Bytecode!!!). Couple of days ago i had a ringtone problem also: the phone begin to ring, but only for a second, and then stopped (i keep my ringtones on my sdcard). I don't know the solution because i switched roms - for that bug and speaker bug - searching for a stable one. Now i'm testing 4.0.4 ICSPlus, and hope to be the "right" one.

Hi there. Actually i have this problem too. I flashed Rashed's cm10 about two days ago and when somebody calls me it doesn't ring. I thought that the problem was my phone, but now if there are more people with that problem I don't know what to think anymore..
I'm not sure if people are just really downplaying the bugs their experiencing, or maybe Canada just got a big batch of bad phones but it seems nobody online is having the problems me and a few friends are having with our phones. When 5.0 first arrived I was shocked to find I experienced none of the bugs that everyone was complaining about, 2 weeks later and my phone in unusable. A factory reset seems to clean things up but within another week my phone will become unusable again. I thought maybe my phone had broken until I spoke to some friends and found out that multiple (5+) are having the exact same issues. So my question is what's going on with the n5? How is yours working? I'm extremely disappointed this time around after the great experience I had with the galaxy nexus and n4 and would even say I was a nexus fanboy. After having the n5 since launch I have decided that I will no longer be buying nexus phones, as I have has nothing but problems with the 2 n5s I have owned.
A quick list of some of the bugs I've been experiencing are:
Terrible Battery
Immense lag / lack of response in general.
Facebook Messenger chat heads seem to close themselves about 75% of the time.
Getting the keyboard to come up is a game of hit and miss.
The Wallpaper changes itself to black (my indicator things are about to get crazy)
Data/WiFi often just stop working, while icons in the status bar appear normal
About 1 in every 4 notifications I get fails to actually send a notification.
I get a constant "attempting to reconnect in x seconds" while connected to my moto 360.
My navbar/status bar often disappear.
And the annoying "bug report captured" bug that has been persistent since I got the phone.
I've had these problems on stock 5.0, 5.0.1 as well as all custom Roms up to 5.0.2
I've even tried going back to KK, while greatly improved, I still experience much of the same problems.
Does anyone else have these or similar problems? Has anyone found anything that runs stable? Or is it just time I move on and get myself an HTC?
Using my N5 in germany and it's the best phone I've ever held in my hands Running CM12 (based on Lollipop) for now. Have also been using stock Lollipop for a few months. Both run extremely stable. To be honest: I never heard about your issues. I'm not that big of a fanboy. Never owned a Nexus device before, but I guess I'll never move away from Nexus

By the way: I've got a moto 360, too. And the connection is great - up to 10 meters at least and no random disconnects
I have zero issues with mine, but I'm on stock 4.4.4 so that may have something to do with it. I'm not a fan of Lollipop at all. Too many bugs, and I don't like the look of it.
After one year with my Nexus 5, running stock no root, never a problem. I'm a former owner of HTC flagships phones, never a problem with them.

Using Stock 5.0.1 rooted and with ElementalX kernel is good for me and have been using that setup for over a month now. No issues like what you're describing at all. :S
No problems here like that. Bug report issue is normally a poorly fitting case
Hmm... So it seems that the only people that are having these bugs live in my area... Do you think its possible we all got a bad batch of n5s at the rogers store here?
Edit: everyone experiencing these issues has bought their phones from rogers stores here in my city.

Yeah the devices purchased at the play store seem to be fine now. At first, me personally, I had tons of bugs at release. But those issues have been fixed with updates. Mainly concerning the signal and camera speed.
Thread cleaned.
If you think a report is breaking the rules or shouldn't be there for any other reason please report it and move on, antagonizing them adds nothing to the forum but makes our job harder. Thanks, Tijmen.
No issues here besides the occasional Mobile Radio active wakelock, which I did also see occasionally on KK. I did have some memory leak issues on 5.0.0 but either 5.0.1 fixed it or me removing some 3rd party background services did.

Rebooting is normally my go-to solution for problems but it doesn't seem to help these bugs. I installed CM Security and it constantly warns me about my CPU usage/RAM and battery Temperature. The culprit almost always seems to be the Facebook app (sometimes using 250+ mb of RAM just for background services) Could this be a bug with the Facebook app making my phone perform poorly... Does anyone know of any solid alternatives to the official Facebook app?

Fast for Facebook I'd a good alternative
I've been without issues since the factory images were first released, running CM12 CAF builds without issues (besides cm12 bugs)
So call me crazy but I deleted the Facebook and Messenger apps about 6 hours ago and have had 0 problems since... I'm using the official Facebook "Lite" apk I found online and while it is very ugly, things are running much smoother, just hoping that maybe this will solve the bugs I've been experiencing and I'll be able to help my friends get there phones back to a usable state.

I know it's really late in the game now, but have you tried starting in safe mode to see if you have the same issues? It could be an app causing all the grief.
Hello guys i have received about a week ago the OTA update for Android 5.1. As much i did like to see this update fixing issues for my Nexus 5 do i still have a bug/glitch. I am not 100% sure if this is the exact same bug as in Android 5.0 (ram leak). Last night i was using my phone as a normal day but then it all happens again.. I reseted the phone early the morning because i had high ram usage which shouldn't be a problem as long everything works fine. Although i am driving crazy with the problems i have to deal with. I decided to make a video from what happens on my phone so people will have an idea what i am talking about. I will share the video from youtube i recently uploaded in the hope people may help me with. I am running official android 5.1 that came with the OTA update. This is a locked non rooted Nexus 5.

Hi , I have a h830 with latest firmware 30c (Oreo) it's completely stock no root no custom recovery , at the first time I notice some bugs to the Oreo build ...
Always on display some times it's stucked at 12 o clock..
Bluetooth connection is unstable....
Some time lags too much....
just wondering if anyone had the same issues with his phone...

not sure about bluetooth as i haven't tried it since the update but my always on display will change to 2:00 for no reason and then back to the correct time and the phone runs so sluggish with any app unless its already in ram from a previous attempt. Sad an update this nice basically ruined the phone while others not on tmobile seem to be fine. Sure hope someone looks into this so we can get a fix.
Hard reset the device. It will fix most weird issues from the upgrade.

Sometimes when it's locked pop's up the lock screensaver like someone calls or send message and then go to sleep again..
Sometimes when it's unlocked open google assistance for no reason maybe as you said i have to make a hard reset

Not sure about anybody else but I'm experiencing a lot of random app crashes. Most specifically messenger, instagram, and YouTube. Its almost making me wanna downgrade back to nougat until this is fixed. Almost every time I go into messenger, if I begin to scroll through a message it crashes. Also crashes if I begin to type a message to someone. I noticed that for some reason if I do these actions slower it seems to crash less... It's very annoying.

But ive been wondering Now that you guys have oreo....would you recommend upgrading from 7.0? I havent upgraded because im comfortable with 7- and all I keep seeing are complaints about oreo- ive even seen a few who downgraded back from oreo.
