Hi everybody.
I wanna know how can we enable 4g on n8000 or 8005. I heard something about that.
If you will help me, that would be nice for US.

Hey guys!
Its really a dumb question but i'm not really keen on mobile networking , but i'm excited about the ICS update for nexus s rolling out for GSM/UMTS devices.
And I was wondering if I have the GSM version. So my question is this:
GSM/UMTS version is the 3G one, and the other is the 4G right?
Feel free to call me a newbie but i don't want to die dumb

Hi guys.I have simple mobile sim card (which works with T-mobile towers) and I get galaxy sii gt-i9100 (universal version). the problem is I'm getting 2g (edge) speed only, I read that you can flash your radio firmware after rooting to get HSMA+ mode then you'll have the 3g\4g internet.I already rooted my device but I don't know what to do now!
please anyone can help?
I need some help about that too, I wish this post had more attention, and replies. So I'm kinda moving it up right now.
Btw it might be impossible for us to get 4g, but I'll be happier when I get 3g instead of 2g. so, I'm looking for a solution too, I'll keep you posted if I find anything helpful.

Unfortunately there is no solution for that. I already sold out my phone and got new Galaxy s3 (T-MOBILE VERSION) from ebay for 519$ and I'm enjoying the 4G bless..if you need any further assistance I'll be more than glad to help.
Hey guys,
So im from a ****ty country ( Lebanon ) and today I decided to upgrade my phone from 3G to 4G LTE..
I was shocked to go to my provider and once I took the new sim card they told me that the D820 is not compatible with their network and currently only D821 are supported.
If I knew that earlier ofc I would've bought the D821 version but I guess its too late now..
Anyway my question is:
Can anyone help me with this issue and maybe a way to convert D820 to D821 or a way to fix this issue.. coz literally 3G SUCKS !!
all help appreciated..

Well i think its not possible because the change can't be done with any soft-mod and two variants use different hardware chips for LTE connectivity..!
Sell the D820 and get D821, else live with 3g. U still get HSPA+

Why is that a dumb reply? You won't get LTE in Leb with the 820 as it doesn't have the proper bands. So if you want LTE you'll need the 821. Simple as that.
Hi all, This is my first post on XDA so bear with me ..
I have Verizon Droid Maxx running 4.4.4 build SU6-7.2, in other words I am in a most unlucky position as I've read the threads on XDA for my solution.
The thing is I want to enable LTE band 3 as it is the only operative band of LTE where I live. I bought it because it was reasonable for me without thoroughly checking its working lte bands(lol who does that , ok I must have done that ).
Well, I love its battery life, active screen n all and changing it is not an option now bcs I m a bit broke
So all I want is to enable the lte band 3. I have gone through some guides where they say that it can be done in qualcomm devices so I m keeping my hopes high.
So, if someone have any idea, want to share his thoughts on this topic or have a guide that can help me please do share.
Thanks

Hi folks,
Just wondering: been trying to use LTE Discovery, which is mostly working, but it doesn't seem to want to show the LTE band I'm using.
Has anyone managed to get this to work? Or got an alternative app that will do the job?
Thanks.

Same issue
I asked the same question a while back for the same issue. I am not sure why the app doesn't work. I am on tmo-us and it would be nice to know whether I am on band 4 or band 12.

Hmmm random that nobody seems to know why. Bumping in case there's someone with a clue here.
