I have the new samsung galaxy s6 and love it so far, but..... I miss the google lollipop dialer, a lot.
I tried googling and looking for the apks to install but they all fail to install some how. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
You should try other dialer app on playstore. We got many app with purel llp interface

well there are some apps which can not be deleted at all
like google partner setup, systemui(status bar) and others
some apps like software update are not needed and are safe to remove
some other apps like phone app, messaging contacts and launcher etc can be replaced by an alternative app
like launcher can be replaced by a good launcher from play store
if you come across an apk you are not sure about, just google for its function
if it is not vital, then remove/replace it
is there any answer like list of it?
Hi, I have the problem that when i install a dialer app (because i don't like the look of the stock dialer and contacts) I get asked every time which app I want use to open the dial pad even if I choose to use ALWAYS my dialer app. It seems Android doesnt want to save my decision. I tried different roms and different dialer apps (Pixelphone and Rocketdialer) but the issue persists. I thought it could be the launcher and tried also another launcher but same prob.
What can I do?

If you are really want it that much then flash cm-12 , it has all what you want and more.

In CM12 there's no tw tweaks, we want aosp dialer on TW.
I found very good alternative of AOSP dialer.
This is much better than stock TW phone app.

There a lot of Contacts App alternatives but incoming / outgoing call screen doesn't change. TW call screen stays.

I am dying for stock lollipop google dialer and contacts On my note 3 lollipop.
i have managed to run contacts perfectly using this

This link is for htc one m8 and someone made specifically for m8 users to flash and wnjoy atock dialer and contacts apps.
I just want the same for note 3, N900.

Just tried messing about with this. Google contacts works fine but dialer carriers fc. Tried removing Samsung contacts tele and TeleService apk and flagging but dialer does not work.
My guess is there is lib files missing for dialer or telecom or TeleService. Just a guess though.

Stock lollipop dialer and contacts look amaaazing.
My bro's nexus 5 makes me drool for stock android apps.

I love the Google Dialer, the way it displays picture is awesome. In front of it, Samsung dialer is ugly.
So, is there any method to completely the Samsung dialer with Google or similar AOSP dialer?
I know there are many apps available in the market which although replaces the contacts and call log screen, but when it comes to dialing the number, it reverts to stock dialer.
I have Note 5 running Moar 2.2.
Any views?

That's the page I used. Works absolutely fine on my sprint note 5 using rooted deodexed stock mm ROM.

Update: Flashed MM Rom and also flashed the Google dialer. Working fine and no FC however, whenever there is incoming call, it is not recognizing the name already stored in the contacts. But, when I look at the log, the names appearing properly.
I have given all the permission to Google dialer and contacts.
Any fix?
Update: Well I flashed the ROM again due to some other issue and after that I flashed the Google dialer zip.
Now all working fine. Thanks all

Just wanted to let you know that with Marshmallow we now have the ability to choose the dialer the system uses. I was able to install the Google Dialer apk and set it as default. I'm not rooted and it's working well ☺
