I posted before as well and based on my limited knowledge I know for a fact that it is not that difficult for a modder to do.
I am dying for stock lollipop google dialer and contacts On my note 3 lollipop.
i have managed to run contacts perfectly using this

but the dialer does not work
This link is for htc one m8 and someone made specifically for m8 users to flash and wnjoy atock dialer and contacts apps.
I just want the same for note 3, N900.

Just tried messing about with this. Google contacts works fine but dialer carriers fc. Tried removing Samsung contacts tele and TeleService apk and flagging but dialer does not work.
My guess is there is lib files missing for dialer or telecom or TeleService. Just a guess though.

Yup, same when i tried.
Stock lollipop dialer and contacts look amaaazing.
My bro's nexus 5 makes me drool for stock android apps.
hope someone ports it.

The dialer I think would be under the name Phone.apk but I might be wrong. I pushed it on my EVO and the unit would not recieve serivce. I think We'll need the one from a MotoDroid or Desire. I believe this is a CDMA vs GSM issue that is built into the Phone app.
I've pushed the Nexus one Contacts.apk in and it too was unsucessful. I think it will take more then just the APK's while /system is locked. If they get that unlocked then you'll be able to just run the apk but for now all the files in data/data and /data/app need to come with it as well as any other hooks these apps have.
I've lost the stock contacts (People, why they re-name crap???) while trying to do this. When I get it figued out I'll let you know.
If anyone has the Desire or Moto Phone.apk I'll be happy to give it a try.
Might need any thing from /data/data/ and /data/app/ that is assoctiated with Phone or Dialer.

Yeah.. I put money on the table to get rid of the sense dialer/ contacts.... so.. that'd be awesome if someone jumped on that.
The only way I achieved nexus one contacts is through the froyo port by avalaunch.
The sense phone and dialer app was a dealbreaker for me. The froyo phone app is simple and quick.
There are already roms that have this.

I tried one of the sense removed roms and it still had the sense dialer. Do you know which versions have the stock dialer?
Can we just open up a rom zip file and pull apk's out of it, or is it not that simple?

I think there is another I've or two that have the asop dialer. On the last one listed the contacts part works from the dialer not the asp icon which isn't a big deal just make sure you select the right one before checking use as default.

Thanks for the links... I have actually used both of those, the top one is 2.2, and very nice, but not quite ready for day-to-day use unless you are willing to deal with no cameras and some flaky app stuff. I think I actually backed up the dialer in particular from it with Titanium, but it wouldn't install since it is 2.2 only.
The second one (NonSense): I tried the stripped one, and it used aosp stuff for many parts, but lots was still sense ui, including the dialer. It is possible that the full version includes it though.
I have non tried the Senseless rom yet, so it may be the one you are referring to.
Edit: I just looked at the nonsense thread a bit, and sure enough he mentions that it has the stock dialer. Sleep deprevation must be getting to me. Maybe the contacts app was still sense, but the dialer wasn't... or something.
The cmod phone dialer is fully and I want to use the original phone dialer that comes with the nexus 5.
How would I go about doing this?

have you searched the web for the dialer you are looking for? Also are you rooted
Also I am really not sure about what you wrote but it sounds like you want to use the 4.4.4 dialer but remember stock Oneplus is 4.4.2 which have different dialers if I remember correctly
the nexus 5 doesnt use the aosp dialer. cm does. the nexus 5 dialer can show business names associated with a number. sorta like if you look up a place in google maps and itll list a number for it, but in reverse. its not open source but you can try installing it on your phone, it may not work.
I had both dialers running on my Nexus 4 so it is possible just either have to find the zip file or if there is an apk out there

In CM12 there's no tw tweaks, we want aosp dialer on TW.
I found very good alternative of AOSP dialer.
This is much better than stock TW phone app.

There a lot of Contacts App alternatives but incoming / outgoing call screen doesn't change. TW call screen stays.

has anybody found this yet? I dont like any of the alternatives.
So, I'm working on getting various sense apps working from my M8 to my Nexus 6P. I've got several thanks for DH's Sensify app. But, I'm trying to play with the dialer.
What apks do I need to get the HTC Dialer fully functional? I have the dialer working, but the people/contacts portion and logs dont show up? Anyone know?

I love the Google Dialer, the way it displays picture is awesome. In front of it, Samsung dialer is ugly.
So, is there any method to completely the Samsung dialer with Google or similar AOSP dialer?
I know there are many apps available in the market which although replaces the contacts and call log screen, but when it comes to dialing the number, it reverts to stock dialer.
I have Note 5 running Moar 2.2.
Any views?

That's the page I used. Works absolutely fine on my sprint note 5 using rooted deodexed stock mm ROM.

Update: Flashed MM Rom and also flashed the Google dialer. Working fine and no FC however, whenever there is incoming call, it is not recognizing the name already stored in the contacts. But, when I look at the log, the names appearing properly.
I have given all the permission to Google dialer and contacts.
Any fix?
Update: Well I flashed the ROM again due to some other issue and after that I flashed the Google dialer zip.
Now all working fine. Thanks all

Just wanted to let you know that with Marshmallow we now have the ability to choose the dialer the system uses. I was able to install the Google Dialer apk and set it as default. I'm not rooted and it's working well ☺
