I'm not sure if this is only me, but I find the call volume on the S6 extremely low.
Can anybody agree with me?
Mines is fine but you can try the extra volume option..

i have recently purchased the chamelon headset for my tmobile mda2(himalaya). with the help of bluetooth tools for pocket pc i have been able to bond the 2 devices successfully and have achieved a fair working state between both devices. however there is one problem that cannot be avoided. it seems like the volume output on the headset is very low, its very difficult to hear anyone on the other end. the manual states that while in call you can turn up the volume until you hear a beep to indicate the volume is at its highest setting. despite numerous attempts at trying to get the volume higher i have not had any success. while in call i try to press either buttons and there is no change in volume. i have heard a beep a few times after 20-30 consecutive presses but i didnt notice much or if any change in volume. is there anyway to adjust the volume on the headset while not in a call? im not sure whether this may be a problem with the chameleon or perhaps a problems with the bluetooth in the microsoft OS?
Anyone else experience problems like this?
Maybe the Chameleon suffers from the same feature as my BTH-808 headset: When I use it in my right ear the volume-down button (on the side of the headset) is likely to press on my ear and thus . . . .minimizes the volume.
Work-around: use in left ear or ut in with care.
Same behaviour as you describe in changing volume. You have to press the volume-up button approx once every 1-2 seconds for the volume to go up one step.
Took me a week to find out what happened . . .
sigh. i wish it was that simple.
it seems like i have got the headset to its highest volume and it still sounds very weak. nextlink support tells me the volume on the bluespoon is generally very loud.
man... the BT on this machine is really a nightmare.
have you tried to put volume higher like I mentioned. When I press the volume-up to quick, It simply stays low, although I hear the 'volume-up beep'!!

XDA II2........I couldn't understand why I missed calls when out and about. Not every day.......but would go through a day when everytime I checked my phone I had missed calls.

Its because the volume in the ear is the same as the ring tone!! So if I took a quite call, I would turn the vol up hgh. On hang up, no probs to hear the phone ringing. However, I get a call where the voice is very loud,so turn the volume down. Hang up.....and miss a load of calls cause now the ring tone volume is very low!!
Great phone/pda.......but the ring tone and vol in ear are the same!! any patches for this??

Are you using non default ringtone?
If you said the ringtone is the same volume as the sound volume of your ear reception, and you are using default ringtone... whopsss... ain't that too loud .

I don't get what you mean...
If I take / make a call, I can turn the earpiece volume up or down independant of the setting for ringtones / notifications.
I tested this...I made a call and turned the volume right down on the earpiece...then I ended the call and checked the volume sliders...both of them are in the same place as they were before. I then rang my 2i and the volume level was the same as it has always been.
Am I getting the wrong end of the stick?
with any call i get, the volume is really loud. ive used my volume button to set it to the lowest setting and the person is still loud enough to hear if im holding the phone a couple of inches away from my ear. am i the only one experiencing this issue, and if not how do i remedy this issue? thanks for any help you can give. btw im running 7.1.0.1, stock cm kernel, and installed it through cwm.
Are you suggesting the speaker comes on automatically when you receive a call?
if its what i have, no. when i recieve a call, the in call volume is set to max, regardless of what the actual volume setting is. it is quite deafening. lol. anyways, when i use the volume rocker, the volume will still change, but then the next call will have the same issue. its as if the phone automatically resets the volume to max somehow. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

yeah, thats the same issue that i have been having. the closest thing i have found to a fix is to hit the volume up then volume down, then the volume will go down. but that has to be done on every call. i was/am hoping there will be a fix for this that will keep it down permanently
Seems like when I try using the volume rocker on the headphones to adjust volume during a phone call, nothing happens. I have to use the volume buttons on the phone to make a change. Does anyone else encounter this issue with the headphones supplied with the S3?
Ive had BLN-L24 B360 for a little under a week now and have noticed some frustrating issues with regards to the volume levels on this phone. For the most part it seems as though the volume slider that indicates volume level/loudness is just a dummy switch because sound from the phones speaker does not go up or down, it is simply on or off, as in the first step above mute is the same volume as max.
This this is the case with all volume levels through the phones speaker and is extremely frustrating because the sounds are too loud. Whether it is screen lock or unlock, receiving a text or call, or the alarm, I dont need everything being super loud even though I have the volume set low. Im tired of being jolted awake by the alarm that I can't adjust and I cant even watch a video clip without headphones at night because everything is just too damn loud.
With head phones plugged in I notice there is some change in volume with notifications and ringtones but there is just no low volume . Media volume (music) with headphones is the only level that can be adjusted to a low volume but I notice that once the high volume warning dialog pops up around halfway, the volume from there to max stays roughly the same.
Ive seen other people say that low headphone output is a major complaint about this phone but has anyone else experienced loud, unadjustable volume from their phones speaker? It seems to me like a software issue which leads me to believe I'm not the only one. If my description of the issue was confusing, the volume output of the phones speaker is exactly the same in both screenshots.
Edit: While looking through all the audio settings once again it seems that somehow viper4android phone speaker was was turned on and extra loud was turned on unknowingly, which explains why the first step of volume was so loud. However this has since been turned off and still doesn't explain why alarms, ringtones and notifications volume is not really adjustable, the volume is just a bit lower now.
a factory reset could change the behavior.
However, this is not the same behavior many are facing, the problem, in general, is low loud speaker volume and none of the user reported this behavior you mentioned. may be a factory reset can help.
