Q. What are the prerequisites to flash this?
A. You must be S-Off with TWRP recovery and latest 5.0.1 based firmware. Other recoveries may work but are not supported.
Q. Who is this ROM for?
A. Its for the Home-brew enthusiast that wants to make a ROM for themselves. Its for developers that want to build a ROM for the community but may not have access to a complete untouched file set. Its for that guy that forgot to make a Nandroid back up!
Q. Who is this ROM not for?
A. Crack Flashers. You will not get a flash high from this ROM. Its stock rooted!
Q. Why doesn't it have any mods? All the other ROMS have xxxxx
A. Its a stock ROM!

(Not the base part. Scott makes one of, if not THE best bases)
Sense 6 VVM works.
Sense 7 VVM works only if you have a provisioned SIM Card. (Basically to do this you need to activate your SIM Card in an HTC One M9 then it'll work on Sense 7 on M8)
You can however use Sense 6 Messaging + VVM on Sense 7 without the SIM provisioning - Message.apk just won't be themed as is Sense 6.

No way? Really? I've flashed every sense 6 ROM and none have a working vvm. But I flashed this one and vvm worked just fine. So Idk what I'm doing wrong.

No mods, no tweaks, no changes except the removal of wiper.apk which no one really knows what it does anyways besides F/C's all the time.

Flash this right after flashing ROM but before booting into OS! This will set up AT&T as the native carrier and and also allow for GSM toggle if your on ATT!
This ROM by base should allow for free tether for all if I am not mistaken. BUt someone on Telstra may need to confirm that as I am not sure if this is like the Asian bases.

Almost done with Odex... 3 minutes.. Then de-odex will be about 30 minutes...
I can say that of all the stock bases I have played with; this is the cleanest. You all have the least carrier bloat. You should thank your carrier for this!

Which is why we keep coming back to it. Your ROM is great with the tweaks etc, but this one is so clean and stable out of the box (with no ATT nonsense ) :victory:

I understand. I might play around with this for a little bit. Maybe do something new with it.
I just need to add the APN for AT&T. Doesnt have it out of the box. But other than that the lack of carrier bloat is noticeable over AT&T. Makes it notably smoother from the get go.
AT&T goes way overboard with apps. Its crazy! Its like your paying them to advertise on your phone.

No because this is not a US based ROM. ONLY Us based ROMS have linkify because of the US Patent system.

No need.... Unless Apple has the same patent in your country? But from my understanding this is just US Based ROMS that have this issue.

i have unlocked bootloader, unlocked sim , rooted and touch recovery..
i should just download the file , keep it in the root folder and flash through recovery ?

For your first custom ROM, I'd pick something a bit more modified than this. This is just a stock ROM.
Pick another such as a Team Nocturnal one, CleanROM, King Cobra etc. They have the extended quick settings, advanced power menu etc....mods that improve user experience ten fold.

Could be bad file. Delete the facebook_client apk from the /system/app directory and then install it from the market. I remember having this problem on my ROMS and that is what I had to do. It doesnt de-odex right.

Turge had to produce a 1.4.1 patch for his ROM to fix some FCs and also a Social-Network-Friendstream patch - so a few little gotchas with the ROM I guess. You could probably look at his patches to get a sense of the fixes.
I can't connect to the 4G att network here, don't have wi-fi to try out. Back to CR 4.5 again!

Had an issue with one of the other 4.3 ROMs. Had to patch SU and do some cleanup to fix. Wiped it twice to use that ROM. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience with any of your ROMs so I doubt I'll find anything. Especially if it's stock.
You are all over the place man. Seems every device I get you are already developing for or pop up out of freakin nowhere. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

There haven't been any problems like root disappearing or tb issues or massive lag during the setup or running anything.

I havent noticed any lag, one time during the set up, on a full wipe, Google Services F/C'ed so I wiped and flashed again and it seemed fine...
I dont use TB and root is still here since I flashed / posted it...

This is a 99% pure stock Rooted ROM. The kernel is a stock built kernel but NOT the kernel that Verizon put it in that borks WiFi on the unlocked devices. Its a pure stock build from Samsung that I compiled my self.

Recompiled Stock kernel (To avoid the intentional WiFi bug that Verizon put in the ROM).

Version 2 fixes exFAT support for those with larger SD cards
No Safe Strap Support at this time
Highly recommend backing up storage due to changes in how Android stores user data!

Yes flashes like normal from recovery. You should wipe and flash matching modem also.

I tested tethering with WiFi Tether Router. Worked fine.

Its stock rooted with no mods, as it states in the Op.
If you pay for hotspot then you will be good to go :good:
As a huge fan of Cleanrom 7 and currently on CM11 4.4.2, I look forward to "Eight" immensely

Anyone else have trouble with messaging? Mine kept force closing. I flashed the AOSP messaging zip and then it worked.
Clean install, wiped everything (including internal by accident).
I didn't mess with it too much, I needed messaging to work, I use two-step verification for Google, I always get my code sent via text.
As the name of the thread implies... This is a stock rooted ROM based on Verizon official 1.55.605.2 Base. No mods, not themes, no hacks, no.... Just rooted and ready!

Q. What are the prerequisites to flash this?
A. You must be S-Off with TWRP recovery and on the latest Verizon firmware. Other recoveries may work but are not supported.
Q. Who is this ROM for?
A. Its for the Home-brew enthusiast that wants to make a ROM for themselves. Its for developers that want to build a ROM for the community but may not have access to a complete untouched file set. Its for that guy that forgot to make a Nandroid back up!
Q. Who is this ROM not for?
A. Crack Flashers. You will not get a flash high from this ROM. Its stock rooted!
Q. Why doesn't it have any mods? All the other ROMS have xxxxx
A. Its a stock ROM!
Q. Is the thether hacked?
A. No, Its a stock ROM!
Q. Will you do a de-odex version any time soon?
A. Probably but I don't like to be hounded about things!
Q. Can I still enable ART?
A. Hell yeah, on the ODex version. Dont recommend trying that on De-odex!

Oh, for sure man! I just got the basics out of the way. I always start with a share-able stock rooted ROM. Then everyone can play :good:
But I hope to have a prelim version of CleanROM out this weekend. Not sure when though.

Means that apps can read/write to your SD card without any issues.
Nice to see you again Scrosler, seems we both jumped ship on the Note 3 at the same time

No it means the system partition is writable so you can edit system files from within the operating system. You have full 100% root. See thread from flar2

Try a different mirror. I got two in the op. If that doesn't work then try a different machine or isp.

Check with your isp. I doubt that 2 completely unrelated hosts are sending bad bits.
No problems matching md5's via dev-host here.
