Can any one share the screen shot of the keypad of Galaxy R including symbols pages and alphabets page.
It will be good if can include for all the builtin keyboards. I had typed a password based on the keyboard layout in Galaxy R. The phone isnt functioning and i am unable to retrieve the password.

Hi, i see that some galaxy (S, S2, S3, etc.) phones don't need to have root access to change their fonts.
I want to know if i can change my font to add some special chars without to be root ?

Thank you
You can do these stuff without root.
Im on ICS. If i go to Settings -> Display -> Font Style, i can change the font.
Font is not ment to have more characters, its just the style that letters are drawn with... If you want special characters install a custom keyboard, like hacker's keyboard, then add your language to have custom characters (i guess stock keyboard also supports languages, but im not sure, i dont have it anymore...)

GT-i9100 ICS 4.0.3
Do you try on a galaxy tab 2 or on your galaxy S2.
Because i know this function is present on the Galaxy S2 but i want to be sure that it's also present on the Galaxy Tab 2
Font is not ment to have more characters
Click to collapse
Android default font doesn't have all the unicode characters of each language. So if i change the default font by another one which have all the unicode characters i will have more characters. Q.E.D.
And install a custom keyboard with special characters doesn't need root access so that's not the problem. The problem is to display them on the screen
Nobody have a Galaxy Tab 2 and can quickly respond if yes or no there is the same function as in Galaxy S, S2, S3.
Thanks
Yes the option is there (P3100).
Thank you a lot
Problem is essentially as stated in the title.
I'm using Kii keyboard with the handcent emoji plugin. I see people on twitter etc using certain emoji, and I can see them, and I. An see which emoji in the list would create that symbol. However, I am not able to use that symbol - it just inserts a 2-byte blank space.
I've obviously posted this in the Galaxy Note 10.1 forum, but this also occurs on my Galaxy S3. I don't know if this is an issue that only exists on Samsung devices.
TIA :good:
Hello All ,
I have dwelled into the world of swipe typing and i love it! Works great for english and other proper languages,
Issue arises when i use a made up language called Arabizi , Which is arabic words represented in english characters and numbers,
Using swype i have made a huge dictionary with the words commonly used , a word like "3aref, ma7lool etc." is possible to save in a dictionary and is recognizable when swiped.
I have tried all swipe based keyboards and only swype is able to recognize such structure.
Issue with swype is that it does not have a dedicated number row, and as you can imagine i use these numbers extensively.
So i turn to samsung's own keyboard with swype baked in ,but upper number rows are not recognizable when swiped ,So i was thinking, since i am able to get secondary symbols using Wanam xposed module, Is there a way to modify these symbols to be like swype (where secondary symbols on top characters are numbers)? if you know where i can find such a file to modify that would be amazing.
Thanks, And i am open to suggestions if you have any alternative keyboards in mind!
I was wondering if someone would tell me if Samsung improved on the stock Samsung keyboard. On the Note 10.1 2014 edition, when using the Samsung keyboard for handwriting it would switch back to the thumb keyboard every time I change fields. There was also no way to set the handwriting panel as the default input method (every time I needed to input information the Samsung keyboard presents me with the thumb keyboard and I would have to manually select the handwriting panel).
