Hello,
Anyone notice issues with auto brightness feature? It appears the light sensor on my Galaxy S6 isn't functioning correctly - the values coming back are around 3.0 lux according to this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bartat.android.elixir
Where is the sensor located - in the front camera? Any tricks to fix it?
Thanks!
Not me. What I notice is that auto brightness tends to have very low brightness when there's low light or very high brightness when you're outside. What issues are you having?

Download CPU Z and check if the sensor is showing diff intensities. Also the s6 will shut down brightness modes if it detects a battery low below 8-5 %.

The values seem to range from 3-6 lux. Where is the sensor located, in the camera?

Its on the top, beside the speaker. There are 2 black dots.. One is the proximity sensor and one is the ambient light sensor.

Hi.
I am using SINGH-MIUI, and when on AUTO BRIGHTNESS, the brightness is just too low. Is there a way to change this while still being on Auto?
Thanks
Beny, screen brightness depends on your sensor on auto.. how much light it is absorbing.. it is not the fact that it is low with my rom, it will be same on all roms...

Thanks, but that's exactly the point: i feel that on AUTO, this ROM is much dimmer than other roms. If that's impossible, than maybe i'm wrong?

if your sensor is covered with screen protector or you are in low lighting room, it will be dim..
hi
I am wondering if is there the bluetooth device and app to display the temperature of room on phone?
Most of the phones have temperature sensor which displays battery temperature and not room temperature. So bad luck.

yes I said BLUETOOTH DEVICE and app.
I have the BlueIR universal remote and BlueIR device.http://www.pdawin.com/en/android
It is very great and it is working very good.
I am wondering if is there same thing for temperate?
does anybody know?
what about this http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/108684420/node-a-modular-handheld-powerhouse-of-sensors
but I don't need.temperature light.
I am wondering if it does just temperature without light?
Is there anyway to increase the brightness to the always on display? Seems like it should be a little brighter?
Thanks, Vinny
Seems to get brighter as the brightness in room increases. I just didn't give it enough time to work.

Hi mate
But that sounds about right , the brighter the room the brighter the display has to be in order to see it better ( when in auto mode) , disable the auto brightness under display and set it manually to a high value .... ... see if it helps
i'm using superman rom v1.8, the always on display doesnt seem to change position but i heard that it only changes 1 pixel per minute,
my question is how do we know if its postion changed or not?
I noticed with auto brightness off and max brightness enabled the screen still gets brighter in sunlight. Even when i turn outdoor mode on it is not as bright as when the sun hits the sensor. I want to know if there is a way to enable this maxed out brightness setting without it turning off everytime a shadow is cast over the sensor. A max "nits" toggle of some sort. Using high battery is not an issue when i need this mode is when im riding in a work truck so i have a charger. Thanks for any input.

Hi there, on my U11 and U11+ the brightness of the screen is reduced almost immediately, after i take a photo.
This is very annoying, cause i can't see the pic a took seconds later and need to increase manually the brightness.
Did you notice same issue? Only HTC'S are doing this.

What are your brightness values for the phones? Camera app will boost brightness to the max, but once you take the photo it will return to your brightness settings

i have adaptive brightness at bout 50%. I think that the problem is that it's maximizing brightness the moment you are taking the photo and after that is getting very dim and the big difference is annoying.. Brightness isn't stable as on my pixel 2 xl.

Yep, better use 100% brightness Auto outdoors in the day, but yes there is definitely an automatic brightness problem with U11+, if 50% and less it can go very dim in a second with the same lighting conditions, usually in low light.
HTC software team is completely denying many things and repeated the same ''bugs'' in U12+
