[Q] How to add items to a folder with Lollipop update - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated my AT&T Galaxy Note Edge to Lollipop and I can't work out how to add a new item to a folder in the Apps screen now. Previously there was a plus icon you could press but now I only see that if I add a new folder and not on an existing folder.
It looks like items can be added to folders on the home screen with no issues by dragging the icon there. It's just on the Apps screen I'm having issues.
Does anyone know how to do this? It's a pain as I update my folder in the Apps screen and make a shortcut to it on my main home screen.

[Q] Folder Organizer app not making folders

*FYI, I have searched and read other questions regarding this subject in the forums and none have addressed this specific problem:
I want to use Folder Organizer (X10 mini) to clean up my android desktop and put the icons into folders, but even after checking the forums for this app, for example in android forums dot com it says:
"you can tag applications with labels in Folderorganiser, which adds them to the 'Folder'. Finally, all you need to do is long press on the home screen, tap shortcuts, choose Folderorganizer Label, and add it. Viola, a folder with a custom icon."
But these directions do not work because when I follow them, (I have already created labels for all of my apps) I long press on the home screen, which does not bring me to shortcuts but instead brings me to 6 apps on my phone including Folder Organizer, so I tap that, and then shortcuts, and it does not give me an option to create a shortcut on my desktop, it only gives me an option to create a shortcut for individual apps, which do not even show up on my desktop.
Please help, how do I create an icon/folder that holds all similar apps on my desktop, eliminating the original messy icons, so that I don't have to scroll through 50 unorganized apps? It would be nice to only have 4 categories/folders or so on my phone desktop
Thank you!

sounds like your long pressing the home button to me. try long pressing a blank area on your screen itself buddy

FOLDERS and APPS!!!!!!

Anyone know how to move folders and apps from one Home screen to another. After my 2.1 updated software, the new home screen now contains more screens. At present I am using ADW.LAUNCHER. It is great but I thought a change. ADW has its own settings button and I can restore all my settings on that! I want to move all!!!

Some apps won't go to edge

Some apps don't show up to be able to move to the edge favorites panel. Is this just the way it is or am I missing something? I wish that I could add more favorites panels that you can edit however you want.

Why are my new home screen icons added to the (non-existing) second page when installing a new app?

Is it possible to change this behavior that the home screen icon for newly installed apps gets placed on the second page every time?
I've just flashed my SM-N986B back to original stock (reverting A11->A10 because of missing GoodLock support) but the icons still get placed on the second page.
-There is a lot of free space for icons on the "main/only page" of home
-I've even deleted all the pages (only home remained) , but after installing any new app there is a new page created and the icon gets placed there
-In DEX there is no option to rearrange the phone home icons and its annoying to move the icons one by one for every application I install
I've tested this on OneUI 3, OneUI 2.5, CPL and BlackBerryLauncher but found no solution.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion!

I don't know why it adds new apps to a second home screen when there is room on the existing home screen, but you can disable the behavior by going into home screen settings and disable the option to add new apps to the home screen.

Chrome bookmarks. Stupidly inconvenient?

Chrome..is there a way to shortcut my entire bookmaks list through 1 home screen icon? Im sick of going through the dots bookmark thing everytime i want to see a new site.
I used to use Cmarks before Google blocked the Api
With Nova launcher, yes.
(Using it for DuckDuckGo; no reason it cannot be done for Chrome)
Is it like a widget in the launcher?

Nope.
Just like a normal single icon on home screen (for the folder inside which are the shortcuts).
You can modify the icon for the main folder icon & the inside shortcut icons as you please.
Several shortcuts can be saved this way with either horizontal card panning or vertical scroll of shortcuts; background colour & transparency adjustable.
So that's close to what I've done as a temp. A folder with shortcuts in it. Cmarks was glorious cuz it had everything in a nice tight list and syncd with Google bookmarks automatically. It was like you bookmarks bar in 1 icon. I so miss this functionality.
