[Completed] [Q] Text from your computer, sync'd with your Android phone & number- how to - XDA Assist

Hi, trying to find a thread where I can discuss how to Text from your computer, sync'd with your Android phone & number. I'd like to build some software (widget/extension) that does this, similar to the site Might Text.
Thanks!
Daniel

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. There are already applications that allow this, like Pushbullet. Or are you wanting to start from scratch?

[Q] Database integration between WIndows and Android through Wireless Network

Good day, I am new to this forum.
I'd like to ask about the possibility and the general way to do my project.
My project includes an application running on a PC(w/ Windows of course). and an android app wirelessly connected to the PC. Both application should be able to communicate with each other sending and receiving request from each other. I'm particular with database. How can they access the same database located on the PC. Also, can the android access files like pictures from the PC and use it in the app. I'll really appreciate any help becuase this is very crucial for my graduation
I don't know if this is the best place to post this but I'm desperate
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Completed] [Q] Question about Android SMS in Hangouts

Hi - I don't know in which thread I should post this question:
I have a group of team members to whom we will be sending SMS notifications when there is an available consult for them to claim. Inside this SMS will be a consultation ID that must be entered into our automated call service for them to claim the consultation and move forward.
The initial plan was for the SMS to include the phone number as a link, with a pause extension and the consultation ID so that the Member would only have to tap the link to respond.
"There is a new consultation available - to accept, tap the link below
555-555-5555,,,12345#"
On iOS devices, this is working perfectly well, but it appears that Android is unable to recognize the comma characters as a part of the number, as only the 10 digit phone number is a part of the link.
Is there any way around this, or is this just a lacking feature that Android lacks?

[Completed] [Q] Lollipop Dialer Not Practical

Good day. Some may find this nonsensical, but is there anyone that agrees with me on the fact that the new android lollipop dialer is not practical? When you click on phone, you need to click another button to actually get to the dialer, and that is all I ever use. Is there a setting that you can change to make it only show the dialer, or are there any other options that I can explore except rooting? I appreciate any answers and I thank everyone in advance for the help. As a side note, I have the xperia z3 compact and I am running android 5.0.2.

[Completed] Is there a hope of transferring Windows phone sms ( .msg) to Android phones???

HI all respected Android developers,
I am a new user to Android maybe not yet as I bought a new Huawei Y360 few days ago but then I received very sad news to know that I cannot move my Nokia Lumia 520 sms into my new Android phone. Those sms are extremely important I cannot just let them go.
I would like to inquire how come the Android developers and computer engineers have invented all sorts of programs Except one extreme important thing which is making the Android phone reads short text messages from windows phone? Is there a hope that this would solved as I believe I am not alone and there are lots of other windows phone users who would like to become Android users but they will never risk losing their contacts or SMS.
I really hope you as genius developers can find a way to either make Android phones read the Windows phone SMS format which is ( .msg) or invent an app that converts (.msg) into Android readable sms format.
ALL the Best!
